Next you'll be saying that the letters of David Blunkett add up to 666. Look at BoE. There is much more for that than for all the Avernums put together. Give it time. -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. New Mac BoE Posts: 1798 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

I think it's worse. For a start, it's even smaller. And I also wish you had BoA. You'd test much better than the people I will end up getting :P -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. New Mac BoE Posts: 1798 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Yes, most of a savefile is not really used. They compress down to about 30k-100k. -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. New Mac BoE Posts: 1798 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Unless horrible and unexpected things happen, I'll have a scenario ready for testing in under a day. It's really tiny and for beginner parties. If you want to help, tell me stuff about you, especially your email address. Experience and playing skill would be nice to know as well. -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. New Mac BoE Posts: 1798 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

I think RoR is much easier with a full party than with a singleton. There are a fair few monsters (vampires/ruby skeletons) that do a lot of undodgeable damage, so it's easier with a party that can kill them faster. -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. I live in the UK and paid for BoE by credit card. No problems. I've also bought other things online with a credit card, and never had any problems there either. -------------------- Grammar wenches beware: This is the house that the malt that the rat that the cat that the dog that the cow that the maiden that the man that the priest that the cock that the farmer kept waked married kissed milked tossed worried killed ate lay in. Items are kept between scenarios unless: 1. They use custom graphics or 2. They call a state in the scenario script. A state in the scenario script is not the same as an item description in the scenario data script. A state is only involved if it has the "unusual ability" description in the game. I think there is a range of item numbers that get used for items that the party has between scenarios. -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. You download Roses of Reckoning, decompress it and put the results in the Scenarios folder. It should work. -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. New Mac BoE Posts: 1798 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Return of the King had an effect on me, but not as much as the book does. If the Pianist is the one about the mute woman who buys a piano for sex, I hated it. -------------------- Grammar wenches beware: This is the house that the malt that the rat that the cat that the dog that the cow that the maiden that the man that the priest that the cock that the farmer kept waked married kissed milked tossed worried killed ate lay in. The Za-Khazi time limit is pretty much an illusion. It takes about half the time available (possibly less) to do absolutely everything. I would be more willing to forgive the irrelevant quests if there wasn't enough time to do them all, and you had to make actual decisions about what to do. As Za-Khazi stands, I think it should have a time limit of 9-10 days. -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. I'm trying to make a terrain type that looks like the laser energy source, but not animated. begindefineterrain 422; import= 125; te_which_sheet = 790; te_ed_which_sheet = 689; te_which_icon = 8; te_ed_which_icon = 8; te_name = "Alarm"; As far as I can see, animation is done using the te_anim_steps property, which I don't use here (terrain 125 is one of those terrains that a lot is based on, and isn't animated. However, in the scenario the terrain comes out animated for some reason. What's going on? -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. I do things in the order the player will encounter them, in general. Exceptions are particularly interesting/boring bits which I'll do earlier/later, and the intro, which I leave to the middle. Of course, I'll go back and add or change things, it's not totally linear. -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram.
