I regret to say, but the sphere in Blades of Avernum has became much less good. There are no more cunning creatures to fight, led by a genius, feared leader. There are no more courir jobs, the game is no longer "connected", there's absolutely nothing more to do when you've beated all scenario's, there's not as much to explore as in Avernum 1, 2 and 3, there's almost no water, and only one scenario has a ship to conduct, there are much less quests, there are no more characters from the previous games, and there are no more "teleport codes". That's the whole point. And there are more scenarios coming out. Just be patient and wait for the designers to work. -------------------- "At times discretion should be thrown aside, and with the foolish we should play the fool." - Menander ==== Drakefyre's Demesne - Happy Happy Joy Joy Encyclopedia Ermariana - Trapped in the Closet ==== You can take my Mac when you pry my cold, dead fingers off the mouse! Look at BoE. There is much more for that than for all the Avernums put together. Give it time. -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. New Mac BoE Posts: 1798 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

If the scenarios in BoA was as complicated and detailed as the other Avernum games, it wouldn't have been finished this fast. BoA has got the editor and that took some time to develop I presume. This "sphere" you are writing about seems more like an excuse to pick on something than a real problem. Try to appreciate the good things about this great game instead of bothering about the bad. :( -------------------- Rufo, Vahnatai Ka, Te Pinoat Posts: 30 | Registered: Friday, April 2 2004 08:00 |

Besides, the scenarios that come with BoA aren't meant to be as expansive as the original Avernum games. They are only meant to exhibition that which it is capable of doing (DWtD, especially). -------------------- -Daravon Posts: 104 | Registered: Friday, March 8 2002 08:00 |

quote:This is a terrible misconception. You can: Make new scenarios Code creature scripts Code terrain scripts Draw custom graphics Beta-test new scenarios Replay the scenarios with a new party alignment (singleton, all priests, all mages, all archers, one fighter and three priests, etc) Post here to help newbies through the scenarios I'm probably forgetting a few things, but as you can see, there is plenty to do. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Get BoE. You'll never have to worry about what happens after beating all the scenarios - there's hundreds of them. -------------------- Rate my scenarios! Areni Revenge To Live in Fear Deadly Goblins Ugantan Nightmare Isle of Boredom Posts: 1423 | Registered: Sunday, October 7 2001 07:00 |
