Babysitting was done using XCode from Apple's development tools. It's clever enough to match the parentheses for me, and know what's in quotes, and so on. And it keeps the same number of beginning of line tabs as there were on the previous line. -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. You won't actually find Babysitting from that link. You'd be better off looking in http://www.avernum.com/blades/scen_stuff/medium.html -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. New Mac BoE Posts: 1798 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Strategies for big battle: Bless and haste before you go in, enter in combat mode. Polymorph the spellcasters (except Kjellka, he's immune). Translocate a fighter up onto the platform, or if you have a lot of fighters, translocate a mage with Kjellka to get him down. Focus on killing him. If the character with the wand of life drain gets hurt a lot, use it. The spells Ice Lances and Enduring Barrier help a lot, if you have them. To find your sister, use the seeing pool to find out which cell she's in. You can move the view by clicking on the directions at the edge of the screen. -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. quote:Umm, what are you talking about? ADOM has alignments and piety more than Nethack. And in ADOM, unlike Nethack, your actions have an actual effect on your alignment in a normal game. In Nethack a lawful character can lie, murder and steal, and any effect of this is negligible. And ADOM's piety does a lot more than Nethack's prayer timeout and god anger. Nethack and ADOM are both great games, but ADOM is much more RPG-like (although still not very) -------------------- Grammar wenches beware: This is the house that the malt that the rat that the cat that the dog that the cow that the maiden that the man that the priest that the cock that the farmer kept waked married kissed milked tossed worried killed ate lay in. I'd guess that it is actually 32,767 instructions of some sort. It's just not quite clear what counts as an instruction. But whatever it is, it's plenty. -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. desperance.net - Don't follow this link Posts: 1798 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

British. And I don't see the point in tracing back my family tree to discover that I'm 1/10000th Zulu and 1/e Icelandic, or whatever. Edit: Forums don't do pies. Just a random guess - perhaps arrows are more likely to be recovered if you miss, and your high-level archer doesn't miss much. -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. New Mac BoE Posts: 1798 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |
