We have three parakeets back home (it was four until July, but one of them died as the result of a freak accident), plus the four or five stray cats that enjoy using our patio for sunbathing. I do have a very strong attachment to the black housecat that belongs to my girlfriend's family. -------------------- The Silent Assassin took his pet paintball gun out for a run this afternoon. My site has it linked, as well. (Dangit, Kel... I wanted to be the first one. :P ) -------------------- The Silent Assassin has learned quite a few things about safety this year. I personally predict a slight slump from the current trend, calling it at an average of 151-175 posts per day. I'm not sure that we can keep this up forever. Diki's been on the boards 24 days longer than Lenar Labs has, with 1668 more posts than we have... So that's an average of 5.37 more posts per day... quote:[Grimm self-censors his initial response because he has a feeling that one of the mods would do it if he didn't] I hate to bring up the rather blatantly overlooked fact that only after the Muslims forcefully conquered the area trade routes did they have peace... because after a brutal war, they were the only show left in town... And at that point, you weren't allowed to be anything but Muslim if you actually wanted to get inside one of the trade posts... Favorite adjective -- "rambunctious" Favorite city founded before 0 -- Rome Favorite computer or video game released before 1990 -- The Legend of Zelda Favorite historical war -- The Maccabean Revolt Favorite method of execution -- torture Favorite philosopher other than Socrates -- (dangit, slarty) Probably John Locke... I'd have to think about it for a while to be sure... Favorite poet -- Robert Frost. Favorite politican (living or dead) -- Marcus Tullius Cicero Favorite scurrilous talk show host -- Is it sad that I actually had to look up scurrilous? I generally don't listen to or watch talk shows. Favorite young children's book (i.e., a picture book) -- The Snowman -------------------- The Silent Assassin has been locked inside of our safe deposit box for the duration of the Exterminator's visit to the Bunker. This way, nobody gets hurt except for the mutant roaches. -------------------- -Lenar Labs What's Your Destiny? Ushmushmeifa: Lenar's power is almighty and ineffable. The large quantity of sodium chunks that he stored in the bathtub last night is a very good example. -------------------- -Lenar Labs What's Your Destiny? The Peanut Gallery demands that I post. Don't shoot the messenger. -------------------- The Silent Assassin is offended by being type-cast as a being of random wanton destruction. He may cause wanton destruction, but every step of said wanton destruction is logically planned well in advance. He goes on to say that he has never once borrowed finger paint for anything (liar), and it is very difficult to stick out one's tongue when one wears a sinister helmet. Just ignore him, Diki. -------------------- -Lenar Labs What's Your Destiny? Ushmushmeifa: Lenar's power is almighty and ineffable. All hail lord Noric, god of... well, something important, I'm sure. Generally, I check the boards in my standard rotation of blogs, websites, and webcomics, which occurs every few hours or so. Oftentimes, I will be on aim, but I generally focus my attention to the web page. -------------------- The Silent Assassin got us thrown out of a party last night by shoving someone's face in a bowl of dip. Okay, I've got it. The BoA engine, I guess the latest version, has an issue with the icon adjust feature that the 3D editor doesn't agree with. I can't explain it, and would prefer not to. I just happened to find an answer to this particular problem. So. I tried a variety of tests and found that you never actually needed the custom water floor. The script that I finally got to work is: quote:I used regular surface water (floor 57) underneath of it, and it worked fine. The only issue is that the walkway doesn't show up in the 3D preview in the editor: the walking man gets elevated above the water with nothing to walk on. The walkway does preview in 2D mode, though. And now that my migraine has worn itself off... I'm going to bed. -------------------- The Silent Assassin is off in Dreamland. He plays Kirby way too much. Would someone mind taking a screenshot of the bad rendering for those of us in the minority OS? -------------------- The Silent Assassin has spent the day working on a personal challenge: constructing a device that is lethal at 50 yards, using only an unsharpened no. 2 pencil, 2 pounds of broccoli, and six thick blue rubber bands.
