I think that it is merely a response to the liberal shift of the past forty years or so. These things go back and forth. It's probably a lot more complicated than this, but that is my opinion.

arghhhhhhhhh, don't take this the wrong way. I'm not picking on you or anything, but others will and are doing so. To keep this from transpiring, could you please use proper capitalization and punctuation in your posts? This is not like an IM discussion. Also, a period and a double-space is much more aesthetically pleasing to separate sentences than putting each one in a separate line. Again, this is not an IM discussion. If you would do these things, I think you'll find that you'll get a much better reception from this community.

Edit: Using the Edit button to avoid double posting is also something that you might want to consider.

OK. I know he's pretty much asking for it, but you guys are being rather mean to him. Give it a rest, will you?

On topic, Dragonlance has gone downhill considerably since its conception in the 80's. I like the Weiss and Hickman novels up through Dragons of Summer Flame. The War of Souls series was pure crap. A few of the other authors like Richard Knaak and Jean Rabe have some good books, but my general feeling on Dragonlance is that you have to wade through a lot of excrement to get to the good stuff.

LCD monitors are getting cheaper all the time. Their electric consumption is considerably less than CRTs. However, if you have your heart set on a 15-in CRT, you might want to check this one out.

I too am looking forward to Ultraviolet and X-Men: The Last Stand, as well as Spider-Man 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 2. Those two aren't scheduled for release until this summer however. Ultraviolet may or may not be good, I'm not sure, and I don't know if they'll be able to pull off a good Pirates sequel or not, but I think X-Men and Spidey will be good. They've already proved that they can make sequels that are just as good as the originals in both series, so why not again?

One time, in my wonderful career as a deli clerk,[/sarcasm] I accidentally called a woman "Sir". She got really pissed and told the manager too. He listened to what she saidand said he was terribly sorry for that. After she left, he came over and laughed his ass off about.

I don't know anything about your specific monitor, but I do know that the refresh rate can usually be pushed a little higher than the specs say it can go. If you uncheck the box in your advanced display settings like I suggested, you can probably push it to at least 70Hz. Don't worry, you won't hurt your monitor. If it can't handle it, the screen will just go screwy and revert back to 60Hz in 15 seconds or so.

Far from infallible to be sure, but most documents and spreadsheets do work, unless they have lots of special Office-specific features in them. A basic Excel spreadsheet and Word document are filtered quite well. I have Office 2003 on my Windows partition, but only use it if I have to. Otherwise, I use OpenOffice in both Windows and Linux. By the way, your spreadsheet converts to OpenOffice Calc format with no visible issues.

Holy crap! How old is your monitor? I have a 7-yr-old 14-in that can show 1280x960 at 75Hz, not to mention 1024x768. Your monitor might be capable without Windows knowing it. Have you tried unchecking the box that says "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display"? Most monitors can go a little higher than Windows thinks they can.

Aw... Isn't reliance on Microsoft so adorable? I'm just kidding, but there are a few other programs out there that can view Excel spreadsheets. OpenOffice is a good example. I do congratulate you on this formula, Micawbar. It seems to be well-researched and accurate. Good show.

If you use a PlayStation (or any other optical disc console for that matter) emulator with the original disc, that is completely legal. Other than that, Thuryl's right. Legal emulation pretty much is a myth.
