Okay, help me out here, is EST GMT - 5? If so, then I'll start working (if I actually do) at 6pm and stop working 6pm the next day. Hmmm. I'd like to join in and see what I can do in such a short time, but I don't really know if I'll have the time to do it... from the 19th of july to the 2nd of august I'm in Russia, then follow three weeks or so of work, and then I'm in Oxford for a week... So for me the best day will be somewhere between the 2nd of august and the 23rd of august, but I can't really say what day is best, sorry. EDIT: So what I was thinking: if the date decided doesn't work out for me, would it be possible for me, as an exception, to do the work 24 hours before or after the actual date? I already got an idea that will also work well with TNS, and should be short enough for completion in 24 hours (Probably less). I don't know if TNS will be out by then, as I'm such a slow designer. I can always try, though. On the other hand, I might have a chat with Nikki pretty soon... -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Ouch. Even the RIFQ had more point than that, and good how pointless the RIFQ was. I again have to ask for Mac users, as I didn't hear of the current ones since I sent them the scenariols. I'm slowly running out of patience now, so i decided to ask for new Mac testers. WtRM v2 is already sitting too long on my computer, and I'd like to get it released pretty soon. If you have the time to test, I would really, really appreciate if you do. Prior experience is not really necessary, as long as you just give me good descriptions of the bug you encounter (so don't say: "there was an error somewhere in that town," rather "there was an error in line 5 of town 6"). Again: I want this thing released and I'd really appreciate it if people helpt me getting it done by betatesting. Thank you in advance. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! Errors i line 0. Does anybody know what they are? I can't seem to fix them, for the obvious reason that in none of my scripts a "line 0" exists. Did anybody ever manage to get this problem solved? -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! Since I didn't play Avernum 4 to the end, only a small portion of the demo, I don't know who this Dorikas guy is. However, I'm rather pleased it's not a vampire, as I still hate undead. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. I'm intrigued. The assasin Vahkohs, huh? Is he a relative of that vampire, what was he called? Vahkos, no? Anyway, I'm very pleased to finally hear something about it. I have been checking and rechecking the news page of SpiderWeb lately again and again over the past few weeks. Thanks for putting such effort. EDIT: You know, that screenshot, down left, reminds me alot of the intro screen of Avernum 3. I like it. Please tell all that is being said here to my mother, and see if you can convince her. She thinks I have, or in any case, had an addiction, which might be possible. It's just as Thuryl said though: give me anything better to do which i feel like doing, and I will do it. So does that count as an addiction? Problem with these things, I think, is its subjectivity. Many people have differentr opinions about it. So my mother thinks that playing games for three hours or so qualifies me for an addiction, other think it requires eight hours. Personally, I agree with most that's being said here. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! 1) Never used Wine, sorry. 2) As Tyran said: about all of them. I would recommend Ubuntu, as it has the reputation of being the easiest to use and understand of all of the distros. 3) Unlike what many people seem to think, Linux distros always come with built in apps, much like Mac OS X does. You get a music/video player, openoffice, DVD creator, image editor etc. It's actually quite good stuff. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Zeviz: I agreed with Zeviz on the humor part, nothing else. I also didn't specifically state that I agreed with anything other than the humor bit. Also, the lecturing complaint was actually meant more for Student of Trinity than it was meant for you, Zeviz... -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. "Just because your friends laugh at chicken jokes doesn't mean that spidweb fans around the world will too. Tailor the humor to the audience." Which I did, didn't I? I haven't made a joke around here for quite some time, as Student of Trinity pointed out already. I can't really remember the last time I posted about it. Look, you really don't have to start lecturing me about being funny. I know it's probably meant in a positive way, but right now, you are acting like my parents: they, too, are constantly telling me things I already know. I think I know well enough how people think of me in certain places. It would be hypocritical to say I don't do it, as I, of course, too, have very unrealistic images of people that make me like them or hate them. However saying that all of my humor is fixated on poultry is ludicrous. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Holland is known for it's battles against the sea, so if the heating up of earth goes on like now and we don't start making higher floodprotections, I might be dead in thirty years. Zeviz: To be honest, chickens are still something my friends can laugh about, right from the start. That means approximately 4 years. The fact that you don't think it's funny, well... I'm afraid you don't put reference to the right sort of joke, too, Zeviz. I'm not referring to things like "demon muffins" (I always sort of liked those, purely because it's so absurd and harmless), but, for example, to Thuryl's never ending puns. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Ephesos: saved that pic in iPhoto. It's absolutely brilliant. Najosz: Seconded. It's nice to see I'm not the only one here thinking that the humor here is particularly bad, or even non-existant (or my sense of humor is so radically different from the rest of the community's, that I either can't identify it, don't get it, or simply don't think it's funny). I never said it, though, as I simply stopped caring a very long time ago. I'm here for BoA and the occasional support issue, of me or somebody else's. I'll do the fun stuff, joking etc at SV, thank you very much. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape.
