Crap, Iffy. Now that you said something, she definitely won't write anything.

The thread would probably be eaten, anyway.

But if no one said anything...
...she wouldn't have thought of anything.

My brother tried to type something here. I just erased it.

How do you know that?

Besides, it's won't happen. The tiny chance that Dikiyoba would have written anything other than a post has been squashed by you saying "Episode 4".

Enough of that. The boards have been experiencing periodic meltdowns for a while now, though this one seems to have cooled down.

It was still better than Episodes 1 through 3 combined.

Episode 4 is always that way.

Every time Nalyd or Iffy mention a new episode, a part of my soul dies, and I reach for my eye-gouging pencil.

Gah.

-----

As for UBB dying. Yes. It has been freezing a lot lately. But meh. It's not as anything decent has been said here for a while, and all the old stuff is saved.

This is always good news.
It could be about how the forums are falling apart...
Ideas are not the limiting factor in episode production. Time and motivation are. And you can't give me more time or give me more motivation, so please stop talking about it. I know you and Nalyd really want to see Episode 4, but I'm afraid that's just not going to happen.

Oh, and Nikki, what's the point of changing your PDN if you never post for people to see it, you sorry excuse for a cucumber? :P

Dikiyoba.

It motivates you lot to look up my profile periodically to see if I've written anything witty.

I mean, I know I haven't ever done anything good before, but there has to a be a first time, right?

And, incidently, when did you read Ed's book of forum etiquette?

Okay, topic shift. Today at work, I got what might be the best error message ever. And I mean ever.

Every time I enter this topic, everyone's posts get all inflammed and long! I have to scroll over to read the whole thing. I'm convinced that the UBB is eating itself. This has become the Ouroborus board! Sometimes mellow, sometimes chaotic.

EDIT: Just saw your error Ephesos! That is outrageous! I wish I got errors like that on this junky computer.

Also, Nalyd and IFM are kind of funny.

How about this thought: Regardless of what silliness you post, Dikiyoba won't write more unless Dikiyoba damn well wants to?

When I was testing if myself, I got an error message that shut BoA down. Can't remember exactly what it says.

As for the question of "Do you mind", I will say...nothing. I am only typing.

Is it in. . . Cleveland? Because Nalyd is going to that one for a week this summer.

Nope... St. Louis. I'm looking forward to getting to teach game modding (Battlefield 2)... since after all, it's what I do. :D

Awesome, though. I kinda wondered about that possibility...

I do find it kind of amusing that the average age of the board is steadily climbing and yet the average post just keeps on getting dumber and dumber.

It's amusing in the way that, say, Halliburton actually getting away with what they do is amusing.

This is part of why I don't like SW. I have a highly active sense of humor and apparently have some of the sharpest comic timing a lot of people have seen, but what I do is actually absurdist instead of "random" - which is to say, not nice big fat softballs lobbed at single-digit speeds, i.e. 'jokes' everyone's already heard twelve times and which don't actually bother to take a swing at anything.

So I have a choice to make. I can go for broke and get banned. I'd piss a lot of humorless people off, but I never cared much about them. I can join the rocket-tard brigade and knee-slappingly quote Foamy cartoons or whatever the hell passes for 'quirky' nowadays - no.

The only thing that leaves me, and the choice I wind up taking most of the time, is to swat you people down as hard and as mean as I possibly can. The hope is that if I do it for long enough, some of you might learn and become productive members of society.

Start joking, god damn it! Quit with the freaking references and grow a God-damn sense of humor! I'm too young to be a cranky old man and it's only a matter of time before I have to go with #1 and go out in a TM-style blaze of glory.

Someone forgot to fill that in.

Anyway, so who had an error that ruined their scenario.

Ephesos: saved that pic in iPhoto. It's absolutely brilliant.

Najosz: Seconded. It's nice to see I'm not the only one here thinking that the humor here is particularly bad, or even non-existant (or my sense of humor is so radically different from the rest of the community's, that I either can't identify it, don't get it, or simply don't think it's funny).

I never said it, though, as I simply stopped caring a very long time ago. I'm here for BoA and the occasional support issue, of me or somebody else's. I'll do the fun stuff, joking etc at SV, thank you very much.

Well, Nalyd, who has never seen a Foamy the Squirrel cartoon, really never tries to be funny. He isn't, and he doesn't try. You can still hate him for it if you want.

Bah. You got off lucky. I once had some sort of bizarre, unheard of glitch that fatally corrupted about 25 different .BAS files. That included the scenario I was working on, Agadia Isle.
