I like a lot of game music, so let's see...

Avernum 1 and 2 (intros) en Exile 1 and 2 definetiely belong on the list;
the music of Star wars battlefront (because it's the Star Wars filmscore and I'm in love with it);
Games of Pangea Software usually ahve very good music, like Otto Matic, Nanosaur 2, and also Weekend Warrior had one or two amazing tracks;
Microsoft Flight Simulator X has two very nice tracks amongst others;
Simcity 3000 and 4 had some nice music too, if I remember correctly.

These are all I can think of now.

About Ed... in General

Ed is Ed, the others are the others, Imban is everybody.

I think an adequate description of Ed has already been given, but I sort stayed in contact with him for some time after the banning, and I can say he was very, very insecure, to the point he thought everybody was after him. When i finally tried to shut him up, he started sending some emails, but i ignored them, simple as that. I didn't hear from him for some time now.

Kids, don't let the Ed syndrome ever happen to you.

Dikiyoba: I actually don't see what Salmon's edit has got to do with me. I only understand it as "damn, Synergy got me to it, he posted earlier than me," and not "Synergy supplied the translation before Thralni did it."

Bende: Gang is the literal translation, but here are some synonyms: body, crowd, mass or heap. None of these seemed really fit, but than again, it is difficult to translate something you don't really understand...

EDIT:

Thuryl: Okay, you are right. However, people seem not to be content with the amount of such topics if I read this thread, so why don't they make more?

I think you probably wanted Synergy to do that, but I', Futch, so I'll try:

day-butterflies of the second gang
night-butterflies of the second family of the first gang

Day and night butterflies as in butterflies that only come out at that particulair time. I really don't know what you want this for, but I guess i don't really care.

It might be easier to transcribe if you started with the organ score. Or you could accept that the piece works as a string duet.

—Alorael, who now wonders how exactly Tyran recorded all those intros. They sound almost like they were recorded from the computer's speakers.

That was not my point. I wanted to write it down by listening. I like these things being hard.

By the way, How can't you like the Avernum 1 and 2 intro pieces? I think they are magnificent, partly because they sound despressing to me.

They go to militay terrain or a place where thier army is fighting, so yeah, they will stand at a great distance looking at the soldiers killing themselves for real and in training.

I would like to do that too, but I don't have the privilege.

Mind you, i don't like the "intelectual" discussions here or anywhere else on the internet, and I don't want them.

I don't see how that's any different from a conversation in person. In fact, I'd say posts have slightly more thought because we do have more time to think if we want it. I don't know about you, but most of my conversations are pretty meaningless. I do enjoy conversing intellectually, though, whether online or off.

You mean, was there an initiative to make many of these topics before someone took the initiative to make these topics? Don't you see how unfair that question is?
No, I don't see it. I think it's a perfectly fair question, actually. What I see in this topic, is that people want to have long, intelectual debates. So my question for you remains: if people wanted it so much, why didn't they make them before this thread was started, before somebody pointed it out to them? I say a lack of initiative caused by something of which I don't know what it is, but probably a lack of patience.

Also, one can hang around on a forum that sucks without actually doing something about it, of course you can. You just have to have the right level of ignorance.

By the way, is it your opinion that SW sucks? In that case, go make a topic now that is interesting (and not about Bush, please), otherwise, what are you doing here anyway?

I know, and it needed this topic to make it happen. If this topic wouldn't be here, that topic wouldn't have been made, now would it, and that is where the fault is. please try to understand that there is a lack of initiative, okay?

Only if it was slith poetry.

A slith character, writing poetry in nephilim (Vahnatai style).

You mean he is actually sitting in a Nephil and writing things? I do hope you meant "The nephil language" (or call it Nephilian if you wish, which was it's first title, untill it got such critisism that I changed it. Oh well).

Synergy: What kelandon is saying, if I understand him correctly, is indeed probably right. We are and remain human beings and any sense of affection that we get, be it real or an illusion, will be taken as 'real.' That meaning, that if I develop a certain relationship with somebody here that comes close, will make me feel that it is actually coming close and will affect my life.

Take Ed for example: I talked with him now and then because I was sort of curious as to how he was doing, and at a certain point he had this girlfriend that he met over MSN. He was in love with her all right, same goes for all the other people with which this happens.

That said, this doesn't mean I don't agree with you, Synergy, on the whole of what you are saying. I, too, think that message boards and chatclients are not more than an illusion which shouldn't bother me all to much. Fact is that even though I know this, I do get angry, irritated, happy or whatever as a reaction to post, and whenever I am irritated or angry, it does affect the rest of my day untill I have cleared things up.

Then why am I here? Because I am a scenario designer and like helping people who have problems with it. To be honest, I have almost stopped posting in general because it lost my interest. For that kind of stuff I know went to Shadow vale.

Alorael: I fear that you are right. Most posts here probably are a product of on-the-spot thinking. We are in a fast-paced society here. Thinking isn't much of an option anymore. By Alec: You're one to talk about being 'sniped'. I've been banned. Where are your scars, little man?
Alec: So, according to your reasoning, Ephesos can be insulted by you, because he has less scars than you have? (you probably don't mean that, but it is what you are saying). It sort of reminds me of...

quote:
a spoiled, prissy child.
Face it, we are human beings and we don't like it to be insulted or whatever, even if not intentional. the fact that it happened to you doesn't mean you should do it to others.

This thread amuses me. Please go on.

I did encounter this bug once or twice, but I corrected it, so i'm not quite sure what to do about it.

I think your right. The winglets of the 737-800 or quite large in comparison to the rest of the wing:

It's a nice and steady aircraft to pilot, but I don't like to be a passenger in that aircraft. Too small and crowded, if you ask me.

Yes, that is right. At least young people here tend to speak English better than in germany. That has all to do with the TV, as in Germany all programs are in fact in german, also the English ones. In Holland many programs are in English with Dutch subtitles.

Then I have no idea what you did. You reatarted the scenario with a clean party, no used save files, and you got that error? Then I don't get it. I'll look at it when I have time, which is not now, I'm afraid.

Except that these are for BoE, and not BoA. I understood he wanted terrain for BoA.

Wow wow wow, what you have there is completely faulty. You'll have to play it all again, I'm afraid. This is what I was afraid of: when you change the .bas file end use a save file of a previous version of that .bas file, this sort of strange problems start occuring is my experience.

I'm sorry for you, but if you want to complete it in the correct way, redownloading and restarting is the only thing you can do.

Maybe I should put up an enormous sign somewhere, saying you all should redownload WtRM or something...
