Yay, I finished it and reviewd it at the lyceum.

Ginger: Upon giving the five coins, you should have gotten a message about some loud click, right? A handle in one of the statues opened up. Remember what was said in vol 2 of the godesses books? (If you don't know what I am talking about, go to the library and search for them) Search the godesses (that is "look" at them), until one gives you something. After that, go to town's sector you started in (most west). From there i think you will need no help anymore.

Okay, thanks. It's just that I lack the patience to solve riddles. Puzzles, doesn't matter hat sort, okay, but riddles always make me mad.

EDIT: Whoops, read the post wrongly: i thought it was about the Empire, not the Roman empire.

Yeah, you are right. The Roman Empire always was polytheistic, untill Constantine made banned the old traditions and replaced it with Christianity.

Oh, I explored only three of the five regions, no wonder I didn't find the man. Anyway, thanks.

I'm now getting the riddels, and I have absolutely no idea what to answer. The first one I didn't know, I am know at the second. I don't even know in what direction to start thinking. Godesses' samen it's not, so what is it? He could have given at least some hint in the readme, couldn't he.

So I met this strange old man in the scenario Amneia, after having been at the musem, giving me a bronze key. The man tells me to go to the "garbageman" who will give me a number. Who is the garbagemen? I have talked to everybody in town, yet i can't find any "garbagemen."

I hate dead bodies. Undead bodies are even worse. Some living bodies can also be bastards, though. I'd rather see them as dead bodies.

Hmmm. A debate about debating?

IC:

"Where am I?" He looked around. A hand reached out for him, then a face appeared, a smile. "Let me help you."

"Where am I, and..." Filbert was silent. he was standing now and looked into the face of the person that helped him up.

"Father?"

-----

Filbert woke up. He opened his eyes and looked at the sky above him. Father? Filbert quickly sprang up and looked around. He saw a huge smoking crater and some small figures around it. One was sort of walking away, two others were, Filbert thought, speaking to each other. So that's the end. So long, Cain. maybe we meet again. When we do, I will strike you with that poisoned dagger. I will kill you, one way or another. Filbert turned around and walked away. First back to the village, where he bought some stuff: a new sword, some new clothing. He also bought himself a sword. The daggers were nice, but not quite enough. He had learned how it isto be almost dead, and he didn't like the thought of it.

He walked out of the smithy, and marched out of the village, back to his home, back to his people, back to his beloved.

Stranegly, that's the last thing I look at when judging somebody being an oldbie or newbie. I always look at the way a person acts on the boards. So, if somebody seems older (more mature) than me, I call him "oldbie," if he seems younger (less mature) then me, I call him "newbie." This can lead to enormous mishaps of course, for if no member numbers would be placed, I could have rated Slarty an oldbie.

Well, yeah, it was a generalization, but in hindsight an awfully unjustified one, as I was thinking of specific people's ways of acting in a specific discussion.

Okay, I'm sorry, my fault. I'll take out the "feelings" part.

There's a big difference between understanding human feelings and recognizing that they carry about zero weight in discourse.

I'm referring to a particulair discussion.

No, this is the SW boards, so an oldbie is probably the following:

"He who can argue with everybody and everything about irrelevant stuff, using only logic as proof."

That's at least how I feel about it, but I like the number 5, so that's okay with me too.

EDIT: Okay, I took out a bit as it was unjustified.

If I understand him correctly he asks you to tell something about yourself (although you already did in the first post of this topic), as you seem so eager to hear about us.

I'm guessing now, but he finds it very nice that you asked about him (indirectly), and he is asking back, now, as to return the favor.

Geneforge 4 was released, providing the spike in board activity that we'd all predicted and bringing a fresh wave of members to the community.

Good point, forgot all about it.

Congrats Eph, may you stay with us for another three years.

Since I registered enormous things changed in my life, which may probably be witnessed from the way I act on the boards. I've gotten more social over time, have made heaps of new friends, lost others, witnessed changes in my friend's way of acting, got a new computer (yeah, I am very proud of my first computer that I paid for), have been getting better on my instrument, the trombone, finally played my first, real, solo at my last concert, a week or two ago, got seriously drunk and broke my leg...

and I could go on for another hour, but I won't bore you with more of this. To all of you: may you still be here in three years, your life changing, but not your style on the boards, may it's wit be preserved. Amen.

One I saw this, I at first thought: "wow, Hawkking has actually grown up!"

Then I looked more closely, and saw that it's actually Slarty, making a good point. Yeah, the people here have been acting a little strange lately, I must say, and the amounts of (semi)noobs there suddenly seem to be does startle me. With all due respect, but what has been happening here lately?

That, and I was bored stiff.

Yeah, I must agree with Zeviz. i guess it's because it's the same people here, who always just act the same, talk about the same things, and a lot more stays the same, like the noobs.

These are strange times. I mean, let us look back:

Alcritas posted for unknown reasons;
There were outcries to bring back Ed;
Dolphin hops in.

I'm a bit overwhelmed, to be honestm which isn't bad, in this case.

Heya Dolphin! We probably don't know each other that well, because I think you left about the time I appeared.
