I think that many games have very cool music in background, what do you think? I really like the diablo 2 music for example, specially the Tristram song...I also like the C&C red alert's Hell march. And the music from the game MDK is quite nice too. Posts: 446 | Registered: Friday, July 22 2005 07:00 |

Neverwinter Nights has a really good musical score, as do all the Final Fantasy games featuring music by Nobuo Uematsu. I love the music from the Legend of Zelda games as well, and the opening theme to WildArms 2 is simply amazing. Alice had the best music of any computer game ever. Probably because it was by the drummer of Nine Inch Nails. Neverwinter Nights had some good music, but the same guy did the music for Knights of the Old Republic and that was even better. I think John Williams would be proud. -------------------- You lose. The same guy also did the music for Total Annihilation. I've never played the game, but I'm highly impressed by the score. —Alorael, who has of course turned to Wikipedia in his hour of need. Jeremy Soule turns out to be a busy man in the world of game music. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I like a lot of game music, so let's see... Avernum 1 and 2 (intros) en Exile 1 and 2 definetiely belong on the list; the music of Star wars battlefront (because it's the Star Wars filmscore and I'm in love with it); Games of Pangea Software usually ahve very good music, like Otto Matic, Nanosaur 2, and also Weekend Warrior had one or two amazing tracks; Microsoft Flight Simulator X has two very nice tracks amongst others; Simcity 3000 and 4 had some nice music too, if I remember correctly. These are all I can think of now. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! Both Monkey Shines and Gex had good background music, in my opinion. Posts: 587 | Registered: Tuesday, April 1 2003 08:00 |

I'm not sure how many people here have heard of the game, but my favorite game when it comes to music is Genso Suikoden II. -------------------- Vercalos al'Corlin The Wanderer Posts: 21 | Registered: Thursday, June 10 2004 07:00 |

I will admit that I'm quite shocked that I haven't seen pictures of Kefka and Sephiroth yet. -------------------- The Silent Assassin recommends the soundtracks to the games in the Total War series. Anything by Jeremy Soule. I played Dungeon Siege solely for the music. Frank Klepacki's score for Red Alert. 'Face to the Enemy' is probably the favourite. One Must Fall. If I listened to it now, it probably wouldn't be so good, but years ago, it was awesome. The Subterra soundtrack is okay too, before the repetitions drive you insane. EDIT: The bad pun wasn't intentional. Well, not at first. -------------------- What is the sound of Perl? The music in Dungeon Siege was excellent. I'd have to say my favorite soundtracks are Oblivion, Arcanum, LotR, Max Payne (esp. the second theme song), and Stronghold (mainly Crusader, but 1 and 2 had good music too). Posts: 10 | Registered: Monday, January 15 2007 08:00 |
