I just think the Geneforge graphics are appropriate for Geneforge, but just not as impressive within the Avernum world, and when it comes to close quarters, the avernum style works better as well. Anyone else happy to see that they used Avernum 3 style graphics for the remake? -------------------- Vercalos al'Corlin The Wanderer Posts: 21 | Registered: Thursday, June 10 2004 07:00 |

I'm not sure how many people here have heard of the game, but my favorite game when it comes to music is Genso Suikoden II. -------------------- Vercalos al'Corlin The Wanderer Posts: 21 | Registered: Thursday, June 10 2004 07:00 |

Well, the theme to Exile II was the only one that really stuck out to me.. You know, I remember back when I first started playing Exile III, it just kind of felt awesome to see the surface for the first time.. -------------------- Vercalos al'Corlin The Wanderer Posts: 21 | Registered: Thursday, June 10 2004 07:00 |

Sorry to post this here but I actually checked the Exile Series forum and those were empty. I remember when I first played Exile II, it actually had music, but in the later versions, and the adaptation to Avernum II didn't have it any more. I really did like the music, and I'm kinda wondering why it was removed.. A bug maybe? I never had a problem with it personally. -------------------- Vercalos al'Corlin The Wanderer Posts: 21 | Registered: Thursday, June 10 2004 07:00 |

I've never played it myself.. But I'm guessing it needs an update more than anything to make it playable. It seems most of the complaints are about the graphics and graphical glitches. -------------------- Vercalos al'Corlin The Wanderer Posts: 21 | Registered: Thursday, June 10 2004 07:00 |

So, Spiderweb Software has mentioned that they'll be doing a rewrite of Nethergate.. Do you think they'll apply the geneforge engine to the game? Or do you think they'll try to update their nethergate/avernum engine? I'm honestly hoping for the latter, for the sake of variety(that and I prefer using my keyboard to control my characters vs. the mouse). -------------------- Vercalos al'Corlin The Wanderer Posts: 21 | Registered: Thursday, June 10 2004 07:00 |

The very first Exile game. I've been playing since the beginning. I thought it was a fascinating game(though to be honest, I was 12 and sucked at the game). -------------------- Vercalos al'Corlin The Wanderer Posts: 21 | Registered: Thursday, June 10 2004 07:00 |

Heh.. Those shutter doors drive me nuts when it comes to pathfinding.. as for the clicking thing, I fight long range typically, and when I fight close range, I'm usually careful enough that I don't accidently skip my turn. -------------------- Vercalos al'Corlin The Wanderer Posts: 21 | Registered: Thursday, June 10 2004 07:00 |

Right now I'm waiting for my registration key.. I already finished the demo portion(I read fast), and so far I really like the game, moreso than the others.. -------------------- Vercalos al'Corlin The Wanderer Posts: 21 | Registered: Thursday, June 10 2004 07:00 |

Wow. This looks like quite an amazing piece of work, and certainly useful for checking how something would look in the game, and checking to make sure that everything that needs to be seen is seen. BTW, if you want a good place to store images, check www.ripway.com -------------------- Vercalos al'Corlin The Wanderer Posts: 21 | Registered: Thursday, June 10 2004 07:00 |

I'm having a similar problem, though not nearly as drastic, unless I use melee attacks. -------------------- Vercalos al'Corlin The Wanderer Posts: 21 | Registered: Thursday, June 10 2004 07:00 |
