Villain work is difficult. Just ask ET.

I'll be the cool lizard that the guy rides around that has suckers on its feet and is all cool and stuff.

Him.

But likely the script will have little to do with the Sith episode. Maybe #27 will get mentioned though. He's a slith. That's pretty close.

My USPS-speed internet connection wept.

Then I pressed the x and ended the misery.

Be kind to those of us with less than stellar connections, it is not always an available convenience.

Other than that, nice plans, good to see a lot of things that may not happen in the future, especially if the bridge was accidently burnt. Oh, and why the background? I notice it is the same as Nemesis'. Are you the same person? Are you? Well? :P

Countermeasures?

How about shooting blindly at any sound, and perceived shift in a shadow, or anything that vaguely resembes a deer (or a deer-like thingamajig)?

That's how hunters do it in these parts, especially with the deer wearing invisibility cloaks. For the record, deer sized invisibility cloaks are closely related to beer goggles.

Fine.

Yes, some kindly folks from "away" sponsored this ballot measure.

Yes, I've heard lots of complaining from Oregonians. Now that election time is upon us, I hear more complaining about this particular issue. There may be some connection.

Yes, it is likely that Doonesbury will lampoon this state shortly after the election. Not necessarily for this BM though.

...

The major change to the law is that in the event of a successful appeal by the property owner, the state must pay all legal fees used in the defense of the property. Also, or further, the state will pay all legal fees if the final accepted offer from the state is higher than the initial offer by the state.

...

The state of Oregon allows concerned (actually, anyone) parties the right to have published their opinions (pro and con) about each ballot measure.

Pro ballot measure parties...
David Hunnicutt (chief petitioner, Neighbors helping Neighbors Committee, 12 paid opinions)
Oregon Assoc of REALTORS.

Anti ballot measure parties...
League of Women Voters of Oregon
American Planning Association

One argument in favor refers to a close friend of mine, who was driven off her ancestral lands (since 1946) by the invasion of a big box store. She is now a richer woman, but lacks the roots provided by owning a piece of property for a real long time.

Any more informed and you will actually be able to vote effectively.

Ahh. Well I'm not sure how I missed seeing Delaware beaches.

Oh! Maybe it is because the state is so freaking small!!! But thanks for pointing out a whole in my theory. It gave both of us a chance to post. Maybe you could recant? Or reiterate? Either is fine by me...

Current laws allows the taking of private property by government upon the showing of a public purpose and the payment of just compensation for the property.

Ballot Measure 39 makes changes to Oregon statutes by limiting the authority of the government to condemn residences, business establishments, and farms or forest operations if the government intends to subsequently transfer an interest in the property to another private individual.

A Yes vote indicates approval of a change in the current law.
A No vote indicates approval of the current law.

As always, discuss. There are plenty of underlying issues and non-issues here.

That's a pretty big boat on the horizon. It must be in the San Diego area for it to be so close to the beach. Too bad the photographer didn't do a better job of framing the subject.

Just to clarify a point here.

Is the shooting offense for,
a) not being monitored while making out in the closet?
b) not being monitored while leaving an unmanned post?
c) abandoning a post for which they are responsible?
d) mistaking the closet for a conjugal visit trailer? or,
e) failure to show proper discipline in the face of those primordial urges?

Thank you for your prompt consideration in this matter.

How she was portrayed in UV, or why she was chosen as villain, is most likely an error.

The point about BoA/E is that the player (you) will react with the scenario is a certain way. Each player will react differently. Some people (gasp!!!) try to kill every creature in every town. Does that make them the villain? Or would the local militia be the villains?

I took out the parts that confused you.

No, you aren't over-reacting. You're just being silly.

Hilter was a power hungry schemer that used people's fears as a tool to ultimate power. The vacuum he created served as the catalyst for much we know about him, and for many of the actions which were taken in his name.

Rentar is basically an unknown commodity. We meet her in E2, she gives us quickfire. All we know at this stage is that she is uber mage for that tribe of the vahnatai, and she appears to have a chip on her shoulder. Some of your rhetoric is admirable, since it helps drown out rational thought, but this bit
quote:
I say Hitler, any objections?
makes my skin peel.

Pol Pot
Joseph Stalin
Attila and kin
various Chinese leaders whom I'm not priveleged enough to know
various RCC overlords and their Inquisitors
Union Carbide

My point is that there are plenty of "real-life and have lived" villains. Hell, you can probably find one in your own school. The point about BoA/E is that the player (you) will react with the scenario is a certain way. Each player will react differently. Some people (gasp!!!) try to kill every creature in every town. Does that make them the villain? Or would the local militia be the villains?

Meh, never mind. It's time to go check the statistics anyways. Aran should be done mincing words by now.

My dear Emperor.

As a villian I must take exception to your rather narrow view. Many of my fine villanous brethren would be excluded from our ranks if you had your way. You speak as if you command legion and your opinion is law. Are you, too, a villain? Should you not be defending our rights? Didn't you get the memo about the TPS reports? We need to continue expanding our bases, elsewise how could they become owned?

You must know by now that your membership is being reviewed.

Good Day, Sir.

I too have seen the depths of hell.

For plot, nominated was Revenge of the Sith and Butterfly Effect.

For utter lack of cool computer graphics (man), the academy liked The Day After Tomorrow (which is about when you return to your senses after watching this dreck.)

For total incompetence in directing, casting, and editing, Sahara gave a good showing, but Hidalgo ran away with the award.

Lifetime non achievement award (baseball movies notwithstanding) the award is given (again) to Kevin Costner, who proved once again that there are ..... deeper depths to plumb in his acting.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Avernum 4? I had that problem until I stopped playing it. Although now I believe it has been fixed.

Win95 was very stable, at least the build I had access to. It would run for days, nonstop, without any problems. Of course it had been tweaked a little by the nerd squad at my employers. If one of the three largest hospitals in the world could trust '95, I could as well.
