That's a pretty big boat on the horizon. It must be in the San Diego area for it to be so close to the beach. Too bad the photographer didn't do a better job of framing the subject.

Not necessarily. There are other beaches, such as pretty much all of the ones in Deleware, where shipping lanes are close enough that you can see the freighters clearly from the beach.

Ahh. Well I'm not sure how I missed seeing Delaware beaches.

Oh! Maybe it is because the state is so freaking small!!! But thanks for pointing out a whole in my theory. It gave both of us a chance to post. Maybe you could recant? Or reiterate? Either is fine by me...

:P

Well, you did use a homophone for hole. I feel obliged by my oath of canned pork products to point this out. :P

You know, the idea of canned pork products is pretty gross. Some one took a pig and killed it, then mutilated its corpse, mixed in some other stuff, followed by squishing it all into can, where it sits and marinates in its own and other juices until you open it.

However, fresh is also good.

Oh, look. They stained the nice white jacket with red food-coloring polluted water. Such a waste of a nice jacket.

And would other, non-meat foodstuffs satiate that hunger?

You are suffering indigestion from too much hydrogenated pork product. Please reduce the dosage.

Meh.

You couldn't catch a fish if thrown in the shark tank at Seaworld.

Yes, so lets slaughter them all, and serve them with fries, or in a nice sauce. You never know, it might look at you funny.

Christ.

Funny you should mention that. He supposedly taught people to fish so that they could feed themselves. Not sow wheat, but fish.

doesn't like you hurting plants.

Oh no. So Christ isn't morally pure. Tell us something we don't know. Supposing he was alive (I refuse to say "He"), then he'd have been blinded by society too.

And I would rather eat plants and risk angering a fictional being then kill something I can see and touch.

The fact that you are willing to "eat plants" and don't admit that you are killing them in the process leads me to think that this self-delusion is deep. They may not have brains, but they do react to pain much in the same way as animals. I find it remarkable that society still has room for people who refuse to eat food. People who would rather overpopulate the plant with ruminants than eat a healthy diet. There is not enough soy-friendly soil to support the diet which you would have for everyone.

But evolution happens, and eventually it will all come out in the wash. Those who can and do eat all available food will get one end of the stick, and those that limit their food intake to the moral high ground will get free colonoscopies.

:P

Semantics. Gah.

And I may not pass my genes on to the next generation even if I do survive, so meh.

As for vegetarianism, would you have a child served to you? How and why is an animal any different? And cut the crap about free will and intelligence. I know of many people far dumber than a cow.

I should, really. Although I said "know of" not "know". There being a difference, you see, of one word.
