I didn't go to the theater once in 2007. I could check my Netflix rental history to see what movies I did see, and will likely do that and re-post. Or edit. Or quote myself and then double post. It's all good. ;) Edit - It turns out I've seen nothing released in 2007. I'll get around to quoting this later. Hey, at least that might get her to return. I'm sure all liberal Israeli citizens love it when Americans think that Arabic is somehow native to them. But then again, we aren't well known for either our intelligence or tact when it comes to other countries. -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." Argon - "I'm at a loss for words..." Wow. That's great work, although I gotta ask about the use of .rar for archiving. I use Winzip, and from their help file I find that, quote:Any help out there for folks that aren't familiar with .rar? -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." So, is municipal statism a good thing, or a bad thing? I mean, I've never played Sim, so I'll take your word on the similarity, and the only thing left is the moral play. -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." quote:I'll help you out by telling you that your existence to date has been in the nest. There is a huge world out there, and you would serve yourself well to approach it with a wide open mind. The Society for Creatblah blah blah has been around for decades, and is, while not in household use, certainly in common knowledge. So yeah, I googled sca, fully expecting to see what I got. I don't completely get it, but it is pretty awesome that it is out there for people that do get it, and want it. So stop turning up your nose at things to which you haven't been exposed. -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." Argon - "I'm at a loss for words..." Just because Dikiyoba is posting reviews does not mean people have to write praise. Just be honest. For example, I think we need to see more of the Salmon-Zeviz action sequences. Those make the story sparkle. See, now was that so hard? Constructive criticism is the best! The wikipedia article hinted that he was down about his recent breakup. But he was naked, so who knows. Maybe he just partied a little too much. Sure looks that way from the picture they have of him. There would likely be settlements of non-humans, or perhaps humans that are unlike the party in language or custom, and so they could easily be treated like non-humans. After all, there is precedent. quote:That's some fine thinking you have there. Beat cops generally have a good facial memory, and know who is who on the streets. If they arrest an undercover officer for solicitation, they proceed with the action even after they are told of the status. They do this to protect the identity of the officer. Otherwise, it would seem very odd to the regulars that one particular girl was never bothered by the cops. -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." Argon - "I'm at a loss for words..." I too would like to see a tech based CRPG, but in a tech-starved environment. Maybe a colony which is bereft of contact with the outer world. Something with a clear goal, like repair of a starship, or perhaps discovery of the same. At the same time, like Aran and perhaps others, I would also like to see a Mayan or perhaps Incan Nethergate. And a Wild West game might be fun too, but it should probably be in the style of Firefly. Man, that show was awesome. -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." The upcoming release of Avernum 5 is sort of bittersweet for this long-time SW fan. Jeff will be making two more games in his known worlds, and then he will be starting fresh. From what I've read, this means he doesn't even know if he will be doing the isometric thing at all. It will be kind of weird to see something change so drastically, but I guess one can just look back to '99 or whenever his Exile ended to see the beginnings of his constant change. So, since you are (presumably) here for the current set of worlds, and are anticipating the next world, what would you like to see? I see the Exile/Avernum world as magic friendly, with a great deal of fighting and not many other methods of persuasion. The Geneforge world is more strategic, but has the persuasive powers of magic, and isn't fighting centric. Both are located in places which are contained geographically, with Avernum being subterranean (mostly) and Geneforge taking place on islands/valleys. So, what would it be? If you could make the broad strokes, what would the next generation become? -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." Argon - "I'm at a loss for words..."
