Yay! There are three already!

I almost linked the SW News page, which shows the August 1 date, but that seemed recursive. I'm sure stareye will get to updating post#0 when he can. I'm told he has been working long (12+hour) days recently. Maybe he finally noticed the size of his student loans... :P

This thread is now linked to from the News page on SW's home. Start spreading the news, and posting the scenarios which you want entered. That goes for Blades of Exile scenarios as well.

I read Stardust, not realizing there was a graphic novel. My opinion was "meh," especially since I had thought American Gods was the standard. He is not an author I spend a lot of time looking for now. Recently I read 1632. That would make a good movie.

Isn't it easier to accept the larger atrocities once we become used to the smaller ones? I regularly find trash in the ocean when out fishing. Mostly fishing gear that has been abandoned, broken, or lost, but also pop bottles and plastic bags.

Heh. This topic is remarkably free of bickering.

We had a lunar eclipse as well. Dikiyoba didn't, because of some silly thundersnowstorm. I suppose the same event happened there as here. I only glanced at it, but supposedly it lasted for several minutes.

Okay, color me dumb. How is the USA shooting down a defunct USA satellite going to teach other countries to mind their own business? Maybe I should take some of that logic you keep advocating.

RFID chips in guns.

Detectors in doorjams of all commercial doors. Whether or not you hook them up to anything will be up to the architect/builder.

No, we are talking about Goldenboy's assertion that knife murder is more difficult than gun murder. It is to that statement I was objecting. I agree wholeheartedly that mass murder is much easier with a weapon designed for rapid action. No matter what else, a knife is not designed to kill many people in the same action.

Assembling when someone has a gun is a very bad idea.

Yet amazingly, that was our (USA) very technique in World War 1, World War 2, and Vietnam. Because, eventually they run out of bullets or the gun jams.

5th.

But my point is that he has no clue what it is like to kill. You may read things, but they aren't written by killers. If you want to think that it is easier to shoot than stab, then you are helping support that stereotype.

Once you get past the hurdle of deciding to kill, it doesn't really matter what method, because in your mind that thing is already dead. You are just left with method and that is personal choice. Ask a special forces guy, and you might hear that they prefer the knife, even though they snipe too. Why? More excitement. More adrenaline.

I just don't believe many people can actually understand why killers do it. So instead they rationalize up warm fuzzies to justify gun restrictions. I don't buy it for a second.

It's already happening. I just discovered and sold a Tang dynasty pot to the gal in Harston Docks. She paid me 250 meat for it, and then stabbed me. It seems that she was keeping that archaeological dig secret so that she could maximize returns over time. Something about salting the site or whatever. Anyhow, fun game. I'll be calling for that key tomorrow.

Sure, an inverse relation between shootings and stabbings forms, but there are would-be-killers who don't go to stabbings.
Unless you have personal experience with killing someone, either with a knife or a gun, shut up.

You can always call them on the phone. The number is on the order form.

Edit - But yeah, give them at least 24 hours to respond to your initial order. I know it's tough to wait, but you can always get more of the scuttler eyes.

Bleagh. I have to drive 60 minutes through the mountains today to bring building plans to some glorified county official so that they can look at them in puzzlement, then look at me and stammer out "uh, ok, well I guess I have to, ah take a look at these and I'll get back to you when, ah, I'm done," which would be fine except I was already up there once and that incompetent fool wasn't there so now I have to go back again and the worst part is that the fool will never notify me that the plans are ready and instead I'll have to guess and call and hope that I'm not too soon, because then she'll get all annoyed at me for wasting her valuable time with phone calls.

And I have to pay my auto insurance. I mean really. I didn't make any claims for 6 years, do they really need to collect insurance on me? Haven't I proven my worth as a driver? Don't they already have enough of my money that they are in a position to forgive future payments? It's almost like a rational person would make at least some claims in order to get full utility from their meat. I mean money. Geesh.

7557 - Gee that's tough. Looking for sympathy here though. Wow that takes nerves. At least you have a built in excuse for the next time someone innocently refers to you as Nija Halycon.

Thank you Diki. The stories are enjoyable because the prose is not overbearing and tortured. Unlike the puns. Don't write like Eragon. You owe me your soul. :P

I just noticed how much of a workaholic you are. Not only have you produced two versions of each game you created, but you have now created (by my count) sixteen separate titles in only 14 years. Thanks for making something that I enjoy, and thanks for being so prolific.
