Yes. After spending 3 trillion dollars in the "war" against terrorism under the current pro-security administration, I am seeking a new look at how to protect the country. Apparently, spending it into a recession is not going to be working, and I believe that Obama has a better shot at changing that course than do McCain or Clinton. I don't want more of that, and I think Obama is the only one of the remaining three to see that our actions as a country have created the terrorist threat. Heck, just eliminating support of the Saud family (friends of Bush) would eliminate half of the threat.

If Mitt Romney was added to the McCain ticket there is no way I would vote for McCain.

I would prefer Obama over Hitlery, but neither is a stunning candidate. Either will give the Republican party the impetus to present a more electable choice in the next election, effectively winning back the office in 2012.

So, the Youtube goof is ranting about how folks in GB are being too cautious about offending Muslims, right? How is the discussion about Islamic tendencies relevant to this? I imagine it is tough for anyone to capture exactly the tenets of the Koran in a space like this thread, so in effect isn't the "discussion" flawed from the start?

Sorry, please continue, I'm only trying to stay abreast of the conversation. I would hate to get left in the dust.

In another thread a question was asked that could only be faced with a proper poll. Instead, you get this. After all, I started it by using a four syllable word in a 2 syllable zone.

Thuryl made some inane comment about pomp, marching bands, and certain circumstances.

I have a buddy that designs weapon systems for the AF. He is constantly building to beat the last one, both in terms of weapons and weapons jamming. It is a never-ending cycle, given the nature of the funding. Apparently they are now done with ram-jet technologies and have moved to something else. I hope to never be on the receiving end.

Actually, it was a direct response to the post made by The Ratt, which was a complementary post to that of Alorael. Yeah, it didn't really need to be said, but there is a relevance. Perhaps it was a comparison (favorable) between Jick and Jeff?
