Yup Troll Lord Games has a forum, and a thread 11 pages long on remembrances. Apparently Gary was involved with them up until his death. I think TM lives near the Gygax compound. More disguising knowledge with ignorance, in the hopes of gaining followers. Egor knows about Arctic. And Zeviz should know better than to incorrectly attach Arctic to the stigma of psuedo-squabbles. His was a different target. -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." Argon - "I'm at a loss for words..." Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

That was an awesome rant. First class. The IRS takes Visa, but Costco only takes Amex. Does ASU take Amex? I couldn't ascend today because I couldn't make a wand and didn't have a wang to untinker. I spent about 20 turns trying for that n, and managed to blow up wand plus drop teet in my try. Figures. -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." Argon - "I'm at a loss for words..." Idiotic newbs have a disturbing habit of throwing out irrational claims which can be inadvertently tied into historical fact. This does not make it real. -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." Argon - "I'm at a loss for words..." Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

quote:I assume you are speaking strictly about injuries inflicted by guns, right? Because there are still quite a few injuries from knifes, fists, blunt objects, arrows, and any number of other improvised weapons. Oh, and the bullets fired by police or National Guardsmen. Our great country believes firmly in the principle of preemptive arms accumulation. We have abandoned the arms race in favor of a technological race, whereby other nations are held in check because they understand that we can see and hear everything and then attack with impunity from thousands of miles away. It is because of that principle, using fear as a weapon, that it is notionally rational to fear our government. Possession (legal) of firearms by private citizens is a check, and a necessary one. So, any problems with my solution of RFID chips in guns, and detectors in doorjams? -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." Argon - "I'm at a loss for words..." Why is it the sentence before "To put it simply" shorter than the one following? That seems illogical. Apparently comprehension isn't an issue either. The idea behind the second amendment is that having a militia is all well and good, except that it is essentially useless without armed participants. And since the militia consists of volunteer citizens, it is they that need to have their own weapons to participate. I'm sure they thought it would be too easy for a government to destroy a cache of militia weapons. -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." Argon - "I'm at a loss for words..." Having only been shot at once, I'm not a great person to give good advice here. But, you know how difficult it is for me to pass up a chance. When someone shoots at you, the best course of action is whatever it takes to not get hit. Getting shot hurts. It hurts real bad. You are likely to not want to get shot. Therefore, if you sense bullets are aimed at you and are flying through the air, put yourself behind something or somebody. I had the good fortune to have a building I could duck behind, but in a pinch you should use walls, desks, people, whatever. Either get in a position where you can run like hell without getting shot in the back, or where you can return fire without getting hit immediately. And I'm really sorry that you expected a geology lecture. That must mean you didn't hear about the school shooting that took place during a geology lecture, and I is sad to have broken the news to you. On several levels. And remember, don't get shot because it hurts bad. -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." Argon - "I'm at a loss for words..." Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I thought they had fixed that line of code. Perhaps it is a congenital defect in the mechanism that creates these random pockets of existentialism. One would have thought that evolution would have taken care of it, except it hasn't. Odd. Back to the lab, as it were. -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." Hey designers! Make sure you properly tag your scenarios so that they show up in a search. I just looked for exclusively BoA and it only showed 4 scenarios. For example, A Good Beginning is not tagged by platform or rating, so it never shows up in a reduced search. :) -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it."
