We can't classify all teachers the same way. We have to stop grouping people since everyone is different and behave in different ways. There are teachers, such as the ones Nioca mentioned, that don't have the interest, the passion or the education to properly teach. I've seen plenty of those in my life who just don't care about the students. However, I have seen good teachers, as Dikiyoba mentioned, that really care about their students. Teachers that work from 8am to 6pm every day, that work on weekends and that are available to tutor on their personal hours. Teachers that go out of their way to make sure students get scholarships and as much financial aid as possible. Alas, I haven't seen many of those in college. You see the problem in my school is not the teachers not having great education, because they certainly have the best. Our teachers are Columbia and NYU graduates, with a vast experience in their careers. They’ve worked in the best research facilities, the biggest Accounting Firms, etc and their resume is oh so impressive, yet they are horrible horrible teachers. They are excellent professionals, but they couldn’t teach well to save their lives  Edit: Damn your fingers Nioca!! Meh, my posts are useless. I have no chance at top 10, so it's just a big pack of stupid, non-relevant information that we could all go without. Thus, I'll go with my first instinct and stop the useless spamming. Posts: 1035 | Registered: Friday, April 1 2005 08:00 |

Aww, I remember my old topic. After reading Diki's post I decided to take it again, and wow. I went from a "Lawful Good Human Fighter" to a "Chaotic Good Dwarf Barbarian". The detail results show that I was fairly close to my past answer though. Posts: 1035 | Registered: Friday, April 1 2005 08:00 |

quote:That's almost as bad as the 'Gold comment' by Goldenking. Slarty: We weren't big on comics really. I live in one of the main cities (second biggest), and I've never seen a comics store. I'm pretty sure they've started selling them on regular newstands, and I refused to believe they don't have them on the main city. However, that wasn't until the last 10 years and by then the cartoons were already out. And Happy Birthday!! Consider this not so lame Census as your own spammy bday present! Actually, Aran and Tyran's constant implication on how horrible is IE (not mentioning making fun of me for using it) were the sole reason of me getting Firefox. Posts: 1035 | Registered: Friday, April 1 2005 08:00 |

quote:See I knew that, it's just that the cartoons got to the country first than the comics did (At least people claim that, I never actually saw one over there) so I kind of associated it that way. Btw, what is it with people putting peanuts in everything? food, pies, ice-creams, chocolate. Ew, that's just wrong people, wrong. Peanuts should be eaten by themselves, stop mixing them with things! Slarty: if you didn't like the last census, you'll hate this one. The boards have been way too active, without anyone saying anything productive. Well, some people have but it's been pushed away by all the spamming. And it sucks to spam some really good topics; it feels like we're degrading good discussions. Personally I've never been big on discussing important issues on the boards, so god knows I won't start now. School is killing me, and I don't look upon SW for voting policies or ballots or whatever Salmon is posting this days :P So I bring you yet another Census, dedicated to spammy, funny, and relaxing things! Favorite Ice Cream flavor? Vanilla with Chocolate. Why argue over which is best (chocolate!) when you could have both? Length of Major Sleep? Mmm, a couple of months ago. During the spring semester I slept for 14 something hours of sleep straight. I tend to get little sleep during the week, and then sleep way too much on the weekends. It's not the healthiest thing to do, but it works. Favorite Arcade Game? Pacman. I love Street Fighter on Nintendo and PS, but for whatever reason I don't like it in the Arcade machine thingies. Favorite movie made from a cartoon? X-Men? I'm all for the Spiderman movies and all, but I was never too of a fan of Spiderman. Favorite place to nap? My bed, the couch at most Favorite print cartoon? Not sure Do you eat ice-cream during a cold weather? I usually don't, but I go through stages where I must eat ice-cream no matter what. Favorite hour of the DAY to sleep? 4-5 in the afternoon, nothing good ever happens at 5pm. Favorite Age? Meaning what was the year of your life that you enjoyed the most. 15, that was a great year Posts: 1035 | Registered: Friday, April 1 2005 08:00 |

10/20, it's really pathetic. I thought I'd do worse honestly. It's not like they ever spoke about Canada in DR, like at all. I've actually met people that didn't know Canada was a country  Posts: 1035 | Registered: Friday, April 1 2005 08:00 |

"Doncella" by Zion y Lenox Edit: I felt like I should add that I listen to it for the beat. The lyrics are pretty dumb and repetitive.
