Would you two (Nioca and Nikki) care to take your issues outside the boards? Try PMing each other to deal with your personal disagreements.

Nikki: :P

Heh. I thought most of them were really funny and accurate. I'd so picture SW members names in my head while reading the "Warriors" descriptions.
Alas, I think I'm a Coffee Klatch.

WOW, it looks awesome. I can't wait until it comes out. Is it time to start hating on Mac users 'cause they get the games first?

Edit: I just noticed the post above, and to clarify I meant GF4. GF4 looks awesome, not the weird turtle thing.

This whole grammar thing reminds me of the time that Brody, Mutey and myself decided to stop using backspace. Needless to say that was pretty bad. Fun, but bad :P

Heh, I know people who think they are above others. They're kind of funny, really.

Originally written by Burning Shiv:

I'm with Lar on this one. People do things for others because they receive some benefit from it as well. Kindness is motivated by a desire for the approval of our peers or at the very least a desire to feel good about ourselves. That doesn't make people evil, but it does make everything we do self-interested.
That's a lie. I've seen so many people use that argument, and at some point in my life I almost bought it myself, but it's so untrue. I do agree that most acts are self-interested, and that most people do things for others to make themselves feel better and generous. However, this is not true in all cases. I've literally done things that have made me miserable just because it'd make others happy. One could argue that seeing them happy makes us happy, but I don't think that's what you're saying.

Edit:
quote:
I'm not sure that humans are naturally anything, but I think people on the whole tend to be indifferent with a slight tendency towards evil.
I agree with "We aren't naturally anything, and on the whole tend to be indifferent", but I don't feel good agreeing with the last statement.

I actually agree with his (Zeviz's) post script. What's written above that I'll take as a joke. Although I've seen kids do things that should be illegal on a bike, and I'm fiercely against riding bikes on the streets, bikes are as big of a part of growing up as Saturday morning cartoons.

Edit: Y'all need to type slower.

I cannot believe they are doing that. What would growing up without tag be? And with the government making students get out of school at 4pm and massive amount of homework kids get who would have time to play tag after school? One would think that with all the console and computer games hating they'd actually encourage tag and other outdoor games.

Kel is clearly Acient Greece, and even Italy would be more adequate. But that's too far away from Dom. Rep. so NO!; thus, I nominate him as Mexico. Because
1) He is damn hot
2) It's in his blood, and
3) Well we need more Spanish countries

I could argue that he is rich in culture, and blah blah blah. Anywho, I'm sorry Jewels but Aran is the poster kid for Germany. And I don't just say that becuase that's his country of birth. Also, I like Thuryl as England given that not even British people have as thick of an english accent as Thuryl's does.

Edit: I'd like to nominate Nikki as Nicaragua. He is known for his poetry, souly beautiful, big in size compared to others of its kind (Central America countries) but with a small population (Social life). And Nicaragua was once a British protectorate.

Inspired by a recent link to an old thread, I bring you all "The SWW". Just because it had to be done.

I nominate the following members as the following countries:

Alorael as Russia: because his massive post count could only be compared to Russia's massive size.

TM as Cuba: do we really need an explanation for this?.

ET as Luxembourg: He is obscure, and with his screwed up views I don't doubt he'll be all for male-preference primogeniture. :P

Myself as DR: Oh come on, you saw it coming.

Imban as China: for he compromises a majority of the world's population.

And TM nominates Drakey as Austria: "because he's a goddamned plutocrat".

Edit: fixed minor error, which Magma had to go and quote.

Wasn't there a cat or dog discussion not too long ago? I like both, but I prefer dogs. Actually, let me rephrase that: I prefer puppies. Big dogs scare the hell out of me. My friend has this humongous black dog, and he is the nicest dogs you can possibly imagine. Last time I went to her house, he went straight to me, started licking me and acting all nice, while I just stood there frozen scared to death.

Do You 'Frequent' These Boards? in General

I go through stages, depending on my level of boredom, how busy I am irl, my interested in the current topics on the boards, etc. I usually disappear for a month of two, then come back and spam like there's no tomorrow. I tend to check the boards at least twice a day (on the times that I'm active); however, it's been a long time since the times were I’d repeatedly click on the refresh button, unlike others (*coughs*tyro!*coughs*).

Edit: I share the pc only with my brother, whom also plays GF, but he isn't interested in the boards. So I don't see why I'd sign off. My pc does tend to sign me off if I spend a long time without visiting, and I delete my cookies periodically so that's about it.
