Newbs :P (1) What's your main goal in life? -Having kids I suppose. I've wanted it for so long. (2) If you won a million dollars, what would be your first thought? - "Omg,omg,Oh. My. God. I can't believe..." *hugs the check/ticket/money* (3) When you are mad; do you usually stay angry or do you yell to release the anger? -It depends. I usually just calm down and get it over with. I have been known for just staying angry, but if I'm really extremely angry I'll hit the pillow or yell like the hispanics you see on TV. (4) Tell us an anecdote of anything that happened to you today. -It's my day off, so I've done nothing. However, I'll give it a try. Mmm... I got nothing. I'll promise to edit this tomorrow and add something!! (5) What's your current Philosophy on life? -The same as always, really. Try not too think too much of the past, or the future for that matter. Whatever happened, it happened. And just think of the future to have sweet dreams or to get guide lines on what you can do now to improve it. Try to live the present the best I can. (6) If you created a deadly disease, what would you call it? -Something ending on -ous. Korshious!. What? I just made it up right now. But yeah, something ending in -ous. (7) What should you be doing right now? -Sleeping. (8) If this were Southpark, what character do you think you'd be? -Mmmm... probably Rebecca. Innocent girl until the boy she likes kisses her :P (9) What occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid ? - Artist. Then I realized that I have no talent. So I thought of becoming a Doctor. Then I realized I can't stand seeing people suffer or dealing with blood. So I figured I'd be a good teacher. Then I realized how much teachers get paid and how annoying most kids are and changed my mind. I considered acting, but meh. I'm sure there were many more. (10) What happened to those dreams? -See above. (11) Describe the last dream you can remember. -Would violate the CoC :P (12) If you were a supermodel, which supermodel would you be? -I have no idea. But Adriana Lima would be hot. (13) If you had to live in a hole, what kind of creature would you be? -Something that would help me survive. I have no idea. (14) If you could have one thing right now, what would it be and why? -A hug. I want to cuddle. (15) Name one thing about you that embarrasses you. -Misspelling things sometimes. That's the best I can think of right now. I'm sure there are more. (16) Do you usually walk around your house with sandals or barefoot? -Barefoot.I try wearing sandals, but I tend to leave them at whatever place I sit last and just walk barefoot back to my room. (17) Have you ever gotten something you really wanted but thought you wouldn't get? -Those are my favorite things to get. I never thought I'd move into this apt. or move into the US, etc. (18) Name one thing you are presently excited about or fascinated by. In the correct order. The Spring Fling tomorrow. End of this semester.Going to DR this summer. Edit: Stupid UBB. Edit II: See what I'm saying? I can't spell. Synergy did bring out something that has been in my mind since I first heard about how many people died. How experienced was Cho Seung-Hui with guns? As Synergy pointed out, shooting is not easy. It takes a lot of strength and determination just to shoot, let along shoot at the right object in the right place. All of the deaths, him being able to lock the classroom without giving time to anyone to stop him, him having purchased the guns, seems too planned out. It’s just awful. It’s sick, twisted, and sad. Ultimately it’s just that: awful. I do think that Synergy is wrong to jump to conclusion. No one knows for sure what was done, on the students’ part, to stop Cho. And it’s really hard to put yourself in that position. People react to things differently, and no one is wrong to react how it’s naturally to them. I remember an occasion where my sister and I lit a pan on fire. Her first reaction was to run, mine was to call for help, and my cousin’s was to get the fire away from us (even if it meant throwing the pan to a place where it might’ve caused more damage). It’s easy to say “This is what should’ve been done” or “I’d do this if I were in that position”. But at the time that is happening you feel as though you’re on slow motion and things are happening too quickly for you to reason and think. Thus, you react by instinct. Something like this doesn’t happen randomly, in my opinion. You can’t look at the bullies and say “It’s their fault”. Or look at the parents and say “They should’ve done more for their children; they should’ve been more involved”. I believe it’s a combination of things. Parents, bullies, whether that person had any friends, whether he/she received love, and ultimately it narrows down to the person itself. You can have two different people and summit them through the same things, and I’m sure they’ll turn out differently. Some are emotionally and mentally stronger than others. This is why we should never think we know exactly how our actions will affect another person. Just because you feel like you are strong enough to handle something does not mean that others will handle it the same. My sincere condolences to all the families and friends of those involve. May they find peace and calm through this horrible time. And Sarasaphilia: I’m sorry that you have gone through what you have. I do understand that some people are hurt in a daily basis. But in situations as this, it’s completely un-acceptable. Sometimes I look at law cases of people that have been raped and tortured, and whom decided to take revenged on who hurt them. And I say “that’s understandable, not right but understandable”. But where do you cross the line in being so hurt that you just want to hurt back even if it’s not to the person who caused you pain to begin with? I’ll restrict to comment on this. I will say that I find less sympathy in me for them. Edit: I should stop taking longer to post.I feel as if I'm repeating what y'll said. College (or Law School) does NOT make you smart. And... I just didn't think it through!! My favorites would have to be Runner up #6, #8, and of course: Q: "Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?" A: "No" Q: "Did you check for blood pressure?" A: "NO" Q: "Did you check for breathing?" A: "No" Q: "So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?" A: "No" Q: "How can you be sure Doctor?" A: "Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar." Q: "But could the patient have still been alive nevertheless?" A: "It is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law somewhere." Monopoly, Clue, Checkers, The game of life. No particular order. There's nothing like sitting in a table and playing a game with a whole bunch of cheaters. It's frustrating, annoying, and usually ends with someone quitting. But so much fun. Posts: 1035 | Registered: Friday, April 1 2005 08:00 |

Does anyone, but Imban, bother to call me Marlenny anymore?. And although I do call him Tyra from time to time, as Infernal pointed out, I call him Thad most of the time. And needless to say Marl is the lovely nickname I've been given. [ Monday, April 09, 2007 21:31: Message edited by: M. ] Posts: 1035 | Registered: Friday, April 1 2005 08:00 |

The film's translation is not entirely correct: 1)It translate to "My wife" not "I married". and 2)"Pazza Assasina" means a crazy/insane murderer, not really an axe murderer. Then again, it's hard to be literal so I guess that translation is as good as any. For your opera thing, I'm pretty sure there isn't an Italian word for "axe murderer". Thus, the best you could do is use "Pazza assasina" (as the film), simply say a murderer, or say a murderer with an axe. If you decide to go with "I married a crazy/insane murderer". Then the translation would be Sposato una pazza assasina?, if just a "I married a murderer" than just take away the pazza: Sposato una assasina?. Oh and remember that Italian has genders. Thus, you are saying I married a female murderer. To make it male you'd have to change it to Sposato un pazzo assasino? or Sposato un assasino? .I think Spotato una assasina? sounds more opera-y.I hope that was of any help! Edit: "I married a murderer with an axe?" would be Spostato un assasino con un ascia?, btw.
