Heh, shut up!. I should really restrict myself from posting for the next couple of years. Mistakes as this happen to me far too often.

Anyhow, I refuse to be middle aged. Oldbie sounds cool (for whatever reason) middle aged just sounds middle aged. And I do not intent to be middle aged until I'm old enough to be middle aged! :P .

God, that reminds me of the disaster the Yankees did last year (or the year before?). Nice picture though!

Pretty much every subset of ET's name.

Not really, if you think of it that way then we chose Slarty, Salmon, AM, MM, etc. It's just an abbreviation and/or nickname obtained from their moniker. A moniker not chosen voluntarily (to me) would have to be us calling someone something that has to do more with their personality than the moniker they chose.

Isn't the Infiltrator the GF4 version of the Agent?. I've always gone for the Agent even though I think the Lifecrafter has more power. I just can't see myself playing as one. Let along as a Guardian (Soldier). I did try playing as a Lifecrafter on GF2, but I don't really depend on creations and barely use them at all so I went back to my Agent.

Woah. Eleven years? Dammmn. It's scary. Really. I'm starting to think that there's no escape. Once you join and become active you are stuck for life.

Stranegly, that's the last thing I look at when judging somebody being an oldbie or newbie. I always look at the way a person acts on the boards. So, if somebody seems older (more mature) than me, I call him "oldbie," if he seems younger (less mature) then me, I call him "newbie." This can lead to enormous mishaps of course, for if no member numbers would be placed, I could have rated Slarty an oldbie.

God, another Newbie vs. Oldbie debate?.
I think Slarty's and Kel's approach of "Generations" or "Waves" would be the most appropriate. I consider everyone who joined (or became active)within the last year a newbie. Some more than others. Of course I think of Nalyd as more of a newb than Nioca, and so forth. Everyone who joined prior to me (and were active at the time I joined) I consider an Oldbie. Some more than others. Of course I think of Stareye as more of an Oldbie than Aran, and so forth.
Bottom down it doesn't matter much. If you joined within the last 6 months in a board where there are a high number of members that have been around for over 3 years then yes you are a newb and you know it. Moderators are mods for a reason, so please don't go around being mini-mods. If someone is being really obnoxious, you are allowed to say something but don't go reigning over them.

I'm slowly working my way through the LotR trilogy. Alas, I've been too busy and have barely had time to finish the first book.

Lost is one of those shows (as Law & Order) that I'm pretty sure I'd like if I had started watching them when they first started. I hate starting to watch shows after a couple of seasons have gone by, and since I don't have time to catch up with them I doubt I'll ever see them.

Given that
1) Drakey is never around.
2) Schro barely shows around General and
3) Star is always busy.

I agree that the board needs another Administrator. And despite Kel's recent (yet obvious) attemps to rise in power :P , I can't think of anyone more qualified than Alo.

Therefore, Alorael for '07!

Edit: Dude, we are in '07. I don't know what's up with me and dates lately.

It's sad, but I actually agree. At least those noobs are gone and never really lasted, these ones seem to have stayed far too long.

I joined almost two years ago. I've certainly been here for more time than I ever thought I'd be. But then again, so have most of us. Since then I've nearly finished three years of college education (two more than when I first joined). I got a job. Fell in love for the first time and experienced my first heartache. I had the best yet worse summer of my life. Finally settled into a major, and got some idea of what to do with my future. I moved into the best Apt. ever. Found the perfect guy. My English and Grammar is now so much better. And now feel as if I have grown up so much from the person I was last year, certainly more than the 18 year old that joined two years ago.

I think, personally, it's not so much about the changes that have been in my life as it is about my way of thinking. I feel more mentally-adult. Mind, it still doesn't stop me from being childish. But I now see things differently. I've certainly learned a lot from SW and overall I'm glad I joined.

Now back to the topic, please!

That says that Infernal is a guy, and that he has not been on the boards for long. I am not a guy. I am not in puberty. And I do know where babies come from.

FYI, I got my own boobs and am quite happy with them. Thank you very much.

I'm six and a half weeks away from finishing my third year in college. I'm currently working on a BS in Business Accounting and trying to decide whether to go for a MBA or a MBT. In which case I'd graduate on '09 rather than '08.
