So...who watches LOST? I'm getting a lot of mixed feeling about the show...some people love it and others think it's going downhill real fast. -------------------- I stand at the gates of hell and hand out brochures. Posts: 103 | Registered: Friday, November 23 2001 08:00 |

I don't watch LOST. It's very strange (in a bad kind of way), cheesy, and boring. But many people disagree. [ Wednesday, March 28, 2007 13:19: Message edited by: Excalibur ] -------------------- WWJD? Posts: 1384 | Registered: Tuesday, February 6 2007 08:00 |

I watch it. It's not the greatest show ever, but it's pretty decent. -------------------- "You're drinking liquor because you're thirsty? Well, I do have to admit that it is getting a little boring so they're gonna have to spice it up a bit. But the end of the last episode was pretty interesting: "...Dad...?" It's on tonight at 10 on nbc. Better late then never, Salmon... -------------------- I stand at the gates of hell and hand out brochures. Posts: 103 | Registered: Friday, November 23 2001 08:00 |

I pretty much stopped watching about halfway through the first season. It just moves way to slowly, and after a while, it just gets old. -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. Needless to say, I failed. Posts: 2686 | Registered: Friday, September 8 2006 07:00 |

Lost is one of those shows (as Law & Order) that I'm pretty sure I'd like if I had started watching them when they first started. I hate starting to watch shows after a couple of seasons have gone by, and since I don't have time to catch up with them I doubt I'll ever see them. Our hall is obsessed with it. I've been foreced to watch every episode. I like it for the character building and the camera work;but the plot is weak. Hmm, Tonights episode was like something out of The Twilight Zone. It was freaky. I would hate for something like that to happen to me. and if you didn't watch it, 2 people were completely paralyzed by a bunch of spiders and people thought they were dead...so they were buried alive. Scary? yes. -------------------- I stand at the gates of hell and hand out brochures. Posts: 103 | Registered: Friday, November 23 2001 08:00 |

Lost has the same problem that Hill Street Blues had long ago, just when you think they are going to finish a major plot line, they don't. It's a show meant to show off technical ability. How many places can you find that the characters met each other before the got to the island? I still like it because something interesting always happens like Hurley finding Sawyer's stash of porn or the VW bus from the others was on a beer run. I liken it to the X-Files, which also ultimately wrote itself hopelessly into corners and never really quite went anywhere. I LOST interest after the first season after which it seemed to have LOST its own sense of purpose or resolution. It didn't help that it started to feel suspiciously more and more like a soap opera either. Still, it was more interesting than most other standard television fare, though that is saying precious little. I'd rather watch Ghost Hunters and South Park. -S- P.S. I am a pretty big fan of Lost. I think one of the strong points of the show is the variety of characters. They differ from the Vanilla prototypes you find on many popular TV shows. Many of the characters come from different cultures/backgrounds and I think that makes their interactions more interesting. I think that the writers would be well served to continue to play up this aspect of the show. I also like the continued suspense and mystery. I don't feel like I need answers every week and I am willing to accept that maybe there are no answers coming. Artistically speaking, I think the lack of answers improves Lost and brings it more in line with the classic Apollonian and Dionysian duality; instead of forcing it to fit within our obsessive Socratic norms. I only wish they hadn't killed off Mr. Eko and Boone. -------------------- Discipline of the Lost Birth of a Tragedy Posts: 32 | Registered: Tuesday, February 13 2007 08:00 |

I watch LOST but here the third season haven't arrived yet, well not on public TV at least... Anyway I think that it's a very good show. In my country a lot of people watched it in the first season, but losing a little audience in the 2nd season, though. Posts: 446 | Registered: Friday, July 22 2005 07:00 |

I don't see why companies don't just release goods to all countries all at once. It would be way more fair that way. that way I wouldn't have to wait for new video games! good idea, me! I watch lost periodically, when bored. The key is to crack the formula the producers use to add something that moves ahead with the overall plot, so you don't have to deal with the fluff. Usually, its not worth even that much effort. Better to stick with House and Bones. Edit: Spelling. I'm sure I didn't fix everything. Not that what I did fix was major. I just felt compelled.
