Should I Buy...? in Avernum 4 | |

I bought A4, but only because of overwhelming curiosity of what happens next, and I couldn't resist experiencing Avernumforge. I'm still not done with it. After I found out who was behind it all I lost most interest in it. Also, the dungeons are way too big. It drove me nuts wandering endlessly through tunnel system after tunnel system. I don't want to be too hard on Jeff, as I'm sure it's difficult to be 100% original after the 4th in a series, but any other bad guy would have been more interesting. That said I'm sure I'll buy A5 as well, just as I'll buy GF4 (Please of the love of God let it not be Drakons). A4 really is an okay game, but it's certainly not Jeff's best work. If you've played other SW games I'd say buy it, as it very inexpensive and it's something to do. If someone is new to SW games "don't buy it". The only cheat I use is "exitzone". I have used "clearthisarea" for certain areas that I need to be able to pas through to get to another area, but most of the time I'd rather do whatever task that needs to be done before moving on. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

If Thuryl and I had been posting at our past rates you could bump the bottom two names. Aran, Alo, and Kel are always on the list. Ben seems to have slowed down. About 5 names on that list are new to me. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

Lily is a 9-month-old Rat Terrier Lola is a 7-month-old Pit-bull and Black Lab mix. Zeus is a 6-year-old Italian Greyhound. Smokey and Blaze about a year old. There is one more rat, but he is a bit camera shy. Also, their names are descriptive of their color/markings. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

Yes, please do forward any information to me you feel would assist me in testing. My request to not take part in the testing center is solely due to time issues (I have just enough free time to post on SW, do the beta, and make a token effort toward eventually producing a scenario). Sure, why not. If you need another tester I'll do it assuming I can test through e-mail and not the testing center. Alwan is pro-shaper, and Greta pro-rebel (tell them you support their cause). Other than that if one leaves you due to you having beliefs differing from those they support they wont want to follow you anymore. If you radically change your belief they will give you a second chance, but through testing different things in the game I found that often times they will never rejoin you.
