Amazing how so many people have posted here that I don't recognize at all. Some of the people who posted twice are familiar, but I guess it's easy to forget a single post. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

I would say being here has improved my English to some degree. I don't typically speak as I write, well I suppose in some ways I do. My mother is an English major, and still I have fairly improper English. I seem to have inherited a similar writing voice nonetheless. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

One observation is that when you absorb your creations they dissolve into essence, but creations that come from anywhere else leave blood on the ground after they die. The Spawners on the other hand seem to made of jewls. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

I don't like using “meatshields.” I have for certain parts of the game where it was necessary. I tend to make one or two creations that I keep with me until it is time to upgrade to a stronger being. I kept my Cryoa until I got to Dhonal's Keep where I got the Drayk canister. I kept my Drayk until I was able to make a Cryodrayk, and kept it for the rest of the game. I heal them a lot in battle and try to keep them out of harms way. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

I like RPGs that have an in-depth story, and aren't only mindless blood and guts. Open-ended is very nice as well. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

Note that I didn't say we are the only creatures. It is one of the factors in being human due to sex being emotional for us. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

I'm not trying to get into a discussion on different forms of sex. The point to brining that up is that the frequency of God is the same frequency of the state of extreme joy. An orgasm is just an example of humans in a state of bliss, as is the example of people in love. Sex is not irrelevant as it relates to humans. We are one of the very few creatures that experience that form of pleasure. It is one of the things that separates us from the animals, that and among other things the awareness of the possibility of God. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

Creations are good or bad relative to where you are in the game. A fyora is ideal for very early on. They have both close range and fire attack. I don't use them anymore as soon as I get Cryoas. Eyebeasts are nice, but if you were to have them in say the first 15 levels the game would be too easy. To battle a fyora with a drayk is boring. Okay this is a fantasy game. Why do you need realism to the smallest detail? Shopkeepers have endless money just like in Avernum. It is easier this way, as you are able to afford training and supplies. Things being sold to the shopkeepers and disappearing is a bit annoying. That is balanced out by the fact that there are at least five of most things. In GF2 there were about two mandrake tinctures. In GF3 I horded them at first, but as soon as I fond six of them I started selling them. There are very few one of a kind items that can be sold. Most of the items that are very important have a value of 0. As for things being safe unattended; it would not be enjoyable to not have safe places for you things. I can't carry them all. When I played it again I sold everything I found. I didn't save anything but what I could carry. It worked out fine, and I had 30000 coins at all times.
