On the topic of the larger battles, I found turning off sounds does help.

I'm not sure how many within this community would have copies. And remember, Beta 2 and RC1 were released as a public beta (According to the Microsoft Site, there were 2.25 million downloads) and RTM version can be downloaded if you have subscribed to any of the following from Microsoft:

* TechNet Plus
* MSDN subscriptions at the Operating Systems, Professional, Enterprise, or Universal level

Note: I personally have a copy of Beta 2 and RC1 but I haven't installed them.

Jeff, for your information Microsoft said that windows Vista Will not be available for sale until Jan 30 2007. That means that if you are wanting to wait for a tester with vista on their system you will have to wait until at least the beginning of Feb! Hope this helps.

There may be people with CTP/Public beta releases still floating around. Also, the RTM version was released to companies last month.

I doubt if there would be any objections. That was quite hard, and as I mentioned in my reports, if I didn't have a stock of potion form previous scenarios, it would have been very, very hard.

I sent you a small part of my report. I've been away from my computer due to unforseeable circumstances. I'm back now though.

It's a bot. My forums got hit as well. The bot's IP changed constantly and I was forced to disable guest posting.

I believe you could you increase the speed by skipping frames as well. Use Ctrl-F8 to increase.

The best abandonware games in my opinion are the X-COM games:

UFO: Enemy Unknonw
UFO: Terror From The Deep
UFO 3

Your best bet would be to restart with a different party.

I'm a loyalist. The poll voting so far indicates that more people are Loyalists than not.

Did anyone else notice that they seem to be harder in dungeouns rather than outdoor encounters?

Anyway, I'm now up to the next camp (after the Lava Ocean) and I've sent you my second report.

You said you wanted notification when we reached certain points in the Scenario. Well here it is:

I reached Thassaka roughly an hour ago and now I've reached the Lava ocean.

I got through it after two attempts. The first attempt I took too long to kill the enemy and I drowned...

The second time I used a lot of mass effect spells and I managed to pull it off.

Doesn't seem to be working yet under Windows. I emailed you about it Kelandon. First crash at the introduction scene (before you take control of your party). Can't seem to find the custom graphics (I think).

Name by which you'd liked to be credited: Universe_JDJ

E-mail address: universejdj@gmail.com

Operating system (Mac, Windows, etc.):

I can test under the following operating systems:

* Windows Vista Beta 2 (if BOA installs correctly)
* Windows XP Pro/Home SP2
* Windows 2000 SP4
* Windows 98
* Windows 98 SE

Do you want to be part of the first group of testers (bearing in mind the time/energy commitment that it entails):

Yes. I have plenty of free time.

Do you have a save file for a party that has just finished Bahssikava:

Yes.

Do you want to use the Beta Testing Center:

It's not a bad idea. A folder on a service like Esnips where testers can upload reports might be easier though.

Some of the new quirks seem to work, others not so well. I'll hold out on the final judgement, but before I continue playing I have to ask if a few annoying things I found could be overcome.
1. Is there anyway to change the way you move with the mouse?? I set it so the screen will follow me, but I still dislike the move to a spot system, and the keypad is kind of disorienting.
2. Are there any secret passages?? I will stop looking for them if not, if so then how do you even find them. You cant attempt to walk into walls anymore.
3. How can you look at a spot. Right click does nothing, and pressing 'L' does nothing too. I want to know what these strange new terrain are supposed to be, but can't search them.
4. Is there anyway to change between the automap and your inventory? This is usually just a minor inconvenience, but when you are shopping for new equipment it can be a big pain.
5. This isnt so much a question as a rant. Where are all the different PC graphics? My adventurers hold their swords like flagposts, and I only have two choices for Ssssschah. My god why must area of effect spells cost the lives of alchemy and any diversity in graphics.
-Before you ask, yes I have looked at the help files. I skimmed them thoroughly and found nothing of use to me.

1. You either have to use the mouse or keyboard.

2. There are no more secret passages that YOU have to find. Some can be revealed by special messages.

3. If you can't click on the item using the left mouse button, you can't look at it.
