I get the same error message as Stan: the level appears in the list of files, but when I try to open it, it says 'Wrong Version Number'. -E- -------------------- Let them eat cake! Posts: 2314 | Registered: Tuesday, January 15 2002 08:00 |

They are both equal. But one cannot be satisfied at the expense of the other. This is why Jesus had to die, because God loves us enough to give us an escape route, and put the choice of whether we face His justice onto us, not Him. -E- -------------------- Let them eat cake! You've seen the wrong trailer, clearly. I've watched them all, and the best we can hope for is good action scenes. This is going to be another of those films where the special features DVD has the actors saying things like 'well, I didn't actually bother reading the books'... The basic premise of the film appears to be that USR has designed a robot that is actually a combat robot (they know how to use guns, they can jump a good 15 meters, they can climb sheer walls, and they have glowing red torsos when they attack things) but are marketing it as a household appliance for no good reason, and the robots decide to break free of their unbreakable programmed behavioural limitations and start randomly killing people. Insert an Elijah Bailey clone 1000-odd years too early in the plotline and have Will Smith act him, and the only word left to describe what you've got is travesty. Yes, I will be seeing this film at the earliest possible opportunity, just to justify my deep and abiding hartred of it. And for no other reasom. -E- EDIT: This guy appears to think something similar. -e- [ Saturday, July 03, 2004 04:44: Message edited by: Imban of the Hrududil ] -------------------- Let them eat cake! The great thing about literature is that any text has intrinsic value with regards to analysis irrespective of the author's opinion. If the author wants to mock people who try to analyse his book, that in no way means that people won't gain from such an analysis: in effect, anything the author has to say about his text is just his analysis of it, and has no more validity than anyone else's. That said, I haven't read the particular book you mention. -E- -------------------- Let them eat cake! Polaris Boards: The System is Up. Perennially. At the time I had one very tanked-up fighter and a couple of mediocre mages and priests, so I just stood him next to the slug to make sure it targetted him and then poisoned it until it was taking ~30 damage every other turn. -E- -------------------- Let them eat cake! Find the place where the grass and trees are. South from there is a room with lava at the right-hand side, iirc. There is a secret door along the south wall of that room (the lava one). -E- -------------------- Let them eat cake! Posts: 2314 | Registered: Tuesday, January 15 2002 08:00 |

Voldemort, why do you think that shooting from behind something limits your range? The highest range of any projectile (give or take for wind) is attained when it is shot at 45 degrees above the horizontal. At that angle, you'll clear a horse from anywhere above half a meter behind it. It's when you shoot horizontally, as you seem to want to do, that the arrow goes almost no distance. Also, the game does contain instant death nodes. Several people are apparently able to create them, including Erika. And who is going to be creating this virus? Which race is advanced enough to reprogram not just their reality but the operating system their reality exists in? Oh yes, none of them. -E- -------------------- Let them eat cake! Your location marks you as not entirely unbiased either... But I would agree with you; the referee was right about the foul. I didn't watch the match, but when someone explained to me why it wasn't a foul, they managed to convince me that it was, instead. I don't see, though, that what anyone apart thinks really matters. Portugal are still the winners, and probably rightfully so. Unless the streets of Portugal have been overrun by manic English football hooligans, you've nothing to complain about. Of course the papers wanted the England team to win, but their disappointment shouldn't be affecting you. -E- [ Wednesday, June 30, 2004 03:13: Message edited by: Omlette ] -------------------- Let them eat cake! I don't think there is anywhere, but if you do the Monastery of Madness quest (IIRC it's started by staying the night at the inn in Loreli), then you get the recipe for the Knowledge Brew. You can buy one of the ingredients from the priest in the town with all the undead on that island off the south coast, and the other from the hermit on the hidden island off the south-east coast. I've been vague on purpose, because that's a whole lot of questing for you to do and I don't want to write a page-long spoilery walkthrough. -E- -------------------- Let them eat cake! All kinds of things have been justified by the Bible, and by perversions of Christian teachings. However, I find nothing in the New Testament to justify war full stop, and certainly believe that the Crusades were the response of a church that had made itself into a political entity to a challenge to its source of power, not a prayer-motivated, Bible-based course of action. The fact that some so-called Christians have comitted horrific acts should serve as a warning to us that someone calling themselves a Christian is not above judgement, and it should warn us against accepting the word of those who claim they have equal authority with God too blithely, but it should not imply that God is in favour of everything people claim He is, or that He would support any war that any Christian ever fought in. Extremist Moslems have committed horrific acts; I wouldn't condemn Islam as a philosophy of violence, because it isn't. Christians who quite frankly were motivated by anything but God's love have done unthinkable things, but this is not a reflection on God. -E- EDIT: Oh, and I'm a fundie. Unfortunately, the majority of people seem to have no idea what this means anymore, so I'll go into a little detail: A fundamentalist would believe that their particular holy book, in my case the Bible, was written with the involvement of their God, rather than as the opinions of a bunch of people as to what God thought. A fanatic, which is what I've found fundies are often confused with, is someone who believes that their particular dogma transcends reason: in other words, no matter what you say, I'm going to be right. A conservative doesn't have to be religious: they're just someone who believes that the moral standards of yesteryear still have a place in today's society. They often happen to be Christians because the morals of yesteryear were for the main part based on Christian standards, as opposed to those of today. -E- [ Monday, June 28, 2004 11:06: Message edited by: Omlette ] -------------------- Let them eat cake! The idea that the man in charge of my country was duped into going to war contrary to popular opinion and based on a pack of lies over half of which not even Bush&co claimed to believe is not a pleasant one. To be honest, I'd be happy to see either of them go, and both would only be a bonus. Yes, I'm British. -E- -------------------- Let them eat cake! Polaris Boards: The System is Up. Perennially.
