I don't know-

Sometimes it looks like I could do as well with a couple of colored markers. You sure you need a printer?

Also there are uses in the Visitors quarters, the holding cells, and the place where the dragon is. All very nice I'm sure

At least it doesn't download of itself and then install- (Have nightmares about a virus spreading GC)

You do have to make the decision (however foolhardy) to download it.

I don't know if it's ever been proposed-

But community efforts by the more "experienced editors" might be able to make vast scenarios. I don't suppose that that level of cooperation can be reached though :( .

I do know that there have been scenarios produced by at least 2 creators so it does seem possible.... There just would have to be some sort of agreement on just about every thing.

NPC question in The Avernum Trilogy

I think it depends on the person :)

I like to start with 4 characters all with the reputation bonus. Then I can delete them in the correct order to get the other special ability types from NPCs

Go easy on the smilies! In fact, I believe the trouble is not the new system but the old, completely incomprehensible system.

4 farthings = 1 penny
2 half pennies = 1 penny
2 farthings = 1 half penny
12 pennies = 1 shilling
2 sixpences = 1 shilling
4 threepenses = 1 shilling
20 shillings = 1 pound sterling
21 shillings = 1 guineas
3 third guineas = 1 guineas
5 shillings = 1 crown
2 shillings + 1 sixpence = half crown

100 small unit = 1 larger unit is eminently more reasonable.

Yes the trouble I had was with the old currency system not the new one. As I said in a post previous to the angry response :) . And as for the table of conversion factors- whats a spade guinea? Weren't pounds in there too? As for Australia- don't you guys have a slew of other slangy terms for other stuff though? It always "sounds" more interesting than the Americas but I suppose that reputation can decieve.

Yeah there isn't any crystal souls in Sulfras's lair, just the Onyx scepter which you were looking for earlier. You can now go back to the teleporter place and finish that mission :) In Pyrog's lair however....

Rescued Pyrog? Thats amazing as he is the skeleton in the eastern part of the fort :)
The crystal soul is a special in the fort not an actual monster/npc so it can't be killed and will always be there. Are you in Pyrogs lair or was their just some confusion as to the name?

Do not taunt the happy fun ball!

- Yet another pointless question- Is this a random statement or is there a happy fun ball?

Edit: Oh and about this

So another one is for E3. In the northwest of the outside world there is a mission to destroy a kitty stronghold. They are in cave with various puzzles. The second puzzle with crates seems to have no point. What is the point?

First off nobodies going to just give you a registration code here- your kinda on the official spiderweb site :) But also even if somebody was willing to just through it out there it really would not help as the codes vary with the game codes. Try paying somebody else w/ a credit card to buy it for you ;)
Oh and obviously Thuryl is a much better informed person to go to for info on this :)

Then again there's jack o'-- winged horses/ pegasus, pheonixes- more eastern wyrmy dragons, centaurs, and a whole lot of undead. A Greek god scenario might be interesting if you wanted the furies :) Don't know how you would relate it to Avernum though

Edit: Oh dear- last post as Apprentice. How horrible

Since it is possible to win w/o Erika, is Erika officially dead? I know that it is frowned on to have her in scenarios that are dated later than the end of E3, but couldn't a scenario based on this alternative ending use her? Sorry that this is kind of in the wrong forum.

Oh...

I really couldn't tell what they were with all the mutations that the things have. I can't even get close to them much less attempt to feed them. Are they friendly for you?

:( Pardon my lack of current info- but at least the historic British system seems rather confusing, but then again it's simpler say than the "historic" system of "I'll give you 5 bushels of wheat for 2 rolls of cloth"

I did know about the metric system there though, which is why I didn't include it. What other countries use the units the USA does?

Hey-
Just to let you know-
The American system of measurments has been the cause of a lot of problems. For instance some of the parts of the Challenger were made in a country using IS units and the technicians "forgot" to convert their units. :( I don't think that stupidity like this should be a symbol of national pride. At least I feel no pride in using such an old system. At least our monetary system is better than Englands. That makes almost no sense to me. And no it isn't because I've never seen the conversion factors but just because there are so many of them!
