Well lets see- The tip I think is in the lich cave- To get to this by water I remember going through the Waterfall Maze and then going through the exit. Just before the exit there is a landing place to the west with a cave to the north. This cave is where the tip is. Good luck. The land route is going into the scree pits that are north of fort(I forget the name but the one near Blosk) At the far north east of this cave you come to the cavern described above. I find myself rather curious about the "campaign editor" myself. Is this available? it's nowhere on the GF site and I'd only heard that was the intention in the first place- like I said in my first post in this thread. Posts: 564 | Registered: Wednesday, April 14 2004 07:00 |

I read somewhere that Geneforge was origanally(however you spell it) supposed to be scenario based. It seems that this would do a lot towards making the game more interesting if the player could become a designer. Maybe someday Jeff will come out with BoG. Please take this with a grain of salt as the probability of this would be negative if that were possible :) [ Thursday, October 07, 2004 17:58: Message edited by: m's devotee ] Posts: 564 | Registered: Wednesday, April 14 2004 07:00 |

Clarification on what I'm saying sounds great: Your plans- The warning was against the item editor at all for the E series. I was not suggesting that you make it but not advertize it on SW boards Thnx for being concerned about it all and I hope that your efforts go well :) -------------------- "Let's just say that if complete and utter chaos was lightning, he'd be the sort to stand on a hilltop in a thunderstorm wearing wet copper armour and shouting 'All gods are false'." Or how bout a Ancient Roman novel, Like I Claudius and Claudius The God Those were enjoyable when I read them a couple years ago. As for me I am slowy making my way through some Tolstoy novels- However I can't remember how to spell most of them at the time. I just finished the Brothers K., The Idiot, Crime and Punishment, and The Underground Notes. On a different note I'm reading A Brief history of Time, and 300 Years of Gravity by Steven Hawkings, some random Lord Peter novels by Dorothy L. Sayers, and The House of Morgan (A financial history of the U.S.) by Ron Chernow Posts: 564 | Registered: Wednesday, April 14 2004 07:00 |

A simple question. In GF there is an editor by a guy named Croikle (or something like this). Who was he? Is/was this person a part of this community? Simply out of curiousity, of course. Another thing you can do with this kind of editor (since you still seem interested) is the quest change thing. I know I enjoyed being able to select any ending w/o doing all the playing was enjoyable. Also one status thing that would be nice to have would be the canister use one. It changes a lot of the game. Also a word of caution. I don't know what kind of rxn you would get to editors for the Exile or Avernum series. If it was able to give say the Orb of Thralni in E1 or 2 (how I know is I transfered a save file from my register version to an unregistered version and could fly to and fro across the Shareware Chasm) then it would not be nessacary to register the game to play. I don't think that this is somthing to promote on this site. But other than that it sounds great [ Saturday, October 02, 2004 18:18: Message edited by: m's devotee ] -------------------- "Let's just say that if complete and utter chaos was lightning, he'd be the sort to stand on a hilltop in a thunderstorm wearing wet copper armour and shouting 'All gods are false'." I believe that I'll go with the rakshasha....rakshasaahahia. Well you get the picture. Not only do I like the name but I always wanted to see more exploration of their culture. It seems interesting. Edit: Ah- rakshasi; Thanks [ Saturday, October 02, 2004 18:40: Message edited by: m's devotee ] -------------------- "Let's just say that if complete and utter chaos was lightning, he'd be the sort to stand on a hilltop in a thunderstorm wearing wet copper armour and shouting 'All gods are false'." First impression. Buggy- not as in it deleted my save files but as in the trainer allowed me one or more less skill points for each skill. For strength it gave me 33 Dexterity 32 Intelligence 30- By the time I got to luck I only got 9 points in it. Kinda silly and I don't see why this would happen but just the impression. This only made me close the improve stats window and open it again where I could improve luck to 18 (ie +9 once more) but still it was funny and I just wanted to point it out. The way for the other one was that you just typed in # sequences which can done rather fast. Once more though this far outstrips the mod of Croikles editor. Does anyone here know who Croikle was? Was/is he a part of this community? If you are really serious try running dual operating systems- That might work. On my old W98 computer it works fine but I can see that this would be frustrating. Maybe someone could email you the game entirely installed already after downloading it and installing on their computer. Might work :( [ Friday, October 01, 2004 10:33: Message edited by: m's devotee ] -------------------- "Let's just say that if complete and utter chaos was lightning, he'd be the sort to stand on a hilltop in a thunderstorm wearing wet copper armour and shouting 'All gods are false'." Welcome- I'll leave a pert saying for someone else to say. To do this you need to put the stone in all 4 slots (one for each entrance) and then it should work. Sorry about the confusion- That is the A2-3 confusion. with more context I realize that you are talking about A3- which I have never played- Though this part is the same as E3 -------------------- "Let's just say that if complete and utter chaos was lightning, he'd be the sort to stand on a hilltop in a thunderstorm wearing wet copper armour and shouting 'All gods are false'." The process for the old one was rather tedious though it could also modify the stuff done-like canisters and quests. This sounds much better even w/o all that. However for GF1 there also is an item editor, would you be interested in iincluding somthing like that with this trainer? Since you don't have to worry about the nodes limitations it would be much more convenient. I believe that the items in your inventory are also set in the same place as the exp and such. -------------------- "Let's just say that if complete and utter chaos was lightning, he'd be the sort to stand on a hilltop in a thunderstorm wearing wet copper armour and shouting 'All gods are false'." Are you me? Am I you? Identity confusion, Ahhhhh This is A2 the Mertis mission, right? If not ignore the rest of the message. Enter from the east. The passage is in a c shape. Find a secret passage in the west wall of the c shape and go through it. Follow this passage till you get back to the original c passage south of where you left it. Walk north towards where you first entered the cave and you will be teleported into the bandit lair entrance way. The bandits lair is reached by picking up all the crystals in the entrance and then going through the secret passage way in the east wall of the room with the crystals. This will open the gate allowing you into the inside of the lair. -------------------- "Let's just say that if complete and utter chaos was lightning, he'd be the sort to stand on a hilltop in a thunderstorm wearing wet copper armour and shouting 'All gods are false'." So to resume the thread of thought- see here for where this comes from. I've looked in every single brazier, shelf, and chest for a paranoid goblin, pushed t in every single room and hallway reachable, and far sighted the entire place. I searched the place rather well but I'm not finding him- This obviously in not a bug but some oversight on my part, however "look more carefully" is rather exasperating at the time. :P Edit: Golem- well there is one room with 3 golems inside- along with a book describing the purpose of the place. However this is to the north- Are you people talking about the BoA version? Once more- Are you sure their is a readme attached to the one SW has? If so what is it called? I hate asking stupid questions because it is just so well stupid but oh well.
