Well, it may not be the healthiest thing that we frequently eat chemically-enhanced food (though that definition is a bit hazy). But it's not instant death. I'd much rather see a more efficient distribution system for most foods. The less junk we spew into the atmosphere, the better. quote: I'm sorry. This just struck me as funny. -------------------- TM: "I want BoA to grow. Evolve where the food ladder has rungs to be reached." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. The thing is, there's no sleep spell in A3. So it's probably a special ability that the mage has (assuming it works similarly to Blades). Try to sneak up on the mage, and hit him with Slow. Repeatedly. Of course, you could always just try and pump up your Willpower. -------------------- TM: "I want BoA to grow. Evolve where the food ladder has rungs to be reached." *sigh*... Yeah. You're not supposed to kill Sulfras. You're supposed to almost kill her, then wait for the next round. It's stupid. -------------------- TM: "I want BoA to grow. quote:Well, hate to break it to you, but Avernum 4 kinda saved the company. And the engine is staying, for the most part. However, Jeff is tweaking bits of it to make it a bit more similar to past games. And you know, you can always just replay the first three. :P -------------------- TM: "I want BoA to grow. I just appreciate the series in its entirety. (BoA FTW!) A4 was different. Fun in a somewhat different way from the previous Avernums, but it was still highly enjoyable. I'm really glad to see elevation returning, though. -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Right. I was thinking about seriously coming back to this.. and now I think I will. My mind's been in a kinda bad place lately, but I think I'm feeling clear enough to RP again. -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." Wow... I just finished, so pardon me if I'm treading on past conversation. For about the first third of the book, I was amazed by the meticulous detail with which Rowling had built this incredibly complete-feeling world, and the savagery with which she was tearing it apart. I had guessed that Harry was himself a Horcrux several hundred pages before Harry himself learned it, and I know for one that my sister already knew where the Ravenclaw artifact was at least a hundred pages before the book revealed it. I feel odd about Harry's whole 'cheating death' experience... but still, I'm impressed and I was more than willing to go along with it. As for the climactic battle, it wasn't, but I think that was for the best... anything more and it would've smacked heavily of melodrama. And the epilogue. I personally wish it had gone a bit further into explaining what all happened to everyone (I did glance at the previous posts and see that others agreed), but I don't think it was sappy or unnecessary. In fact, I rather approved, though I agree that Albus Severus is a horrible name. Wow. A rather fitting conclusion, in my mind. Now, the difficult task of making my next scenario not infringe on Rowling's work in any way. :P -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games."
