The wait is over-- the results are in.

First, I tally all the scenarios' scores, only counting the judges who have no scenarios in the contest.
AVM 37
Aphobia 29
Avatar 31
Darkness 24
ITS 31
Outpost Valley 26
Bounty Hunter's 16
Knight's 20
Merchant's 14
Giving us the first 4 eliminations.
9. A Visit to the Madhouse
7.5 Avatar
7.5 IMAGINE THIS SCENARIO
6. Aphobia
TM is now eliminated, and his scores will be counted.
Darkness 24 + 2 = 26
OV 26 + 5 = 31
Bounty Hunter's 16 + 4 = 30
Knight's 20 + 3 = 23
Merchant's 14 + 1 = 15
Giving us the last 5 results:
9. A Visit to the Madhouse
7.5 Avatar
7.5 IMAGINE THIS SCENARIO
6. Aphobia
5. Outpost Valley
4. Darkness
3. The Knight's Tale
2. Bounty Hunter's
1. Merchant's Tale
The Merchant's Tale is the winner. Now to go backwards.
1. Merchant's Tale
2. Bounty Hunter's
3. Knight's
Lazarus is now eliminated, and his scores will count.
AVM 37 + 6 = 43
Aphobia 29 + 3 = 32
Avatar 31 + 1 = 32
Darkness 24 + 2 = 26
ITS 31 + 5 = 36
OV 26 + 4 = 30
Giving us the next set of results.
1. Merchant's Tale
2. Bounty
3. Knight's
4. Darkness
5. Outpost Valley
6.5 Avatar
6.5 Aphobia
8. ITS

Congratulations and thanks to everybody who participated in what I found to be a very enjoyable and successful contest. Thanks also to the judges who took the time to give their feedback. And a special thanks to TM, who had as much a hand in running this as I.

Oh, and here are the judges scores and comments (where applicable) http://www.geocities.com/lazarus989/contest_results.html

Darkness is available from Ephesos' site, but the rest are unreleased. Some designers are planning to do some more work on their scenarios, so I'm not sure which are really ready to play. I can say that the Tales are playable and will probably not change much before the final release. However you aren't going to get the full story until the compilation comes out, so you'd be best off waiting and getting the most polished version.

Wow.

Uh, TM's going to have some interesting things to say about these results, I'm sure. Congratulations to the winners, at any rate.

If he'd let you judge, it would have been an Iffy decision.

Excuse me, must dash to escape the pun police...

I may be annoying, but I can still judge.
I can beta test too.

Remember, I am a person too. I am just still a newb...as real life is what I am used to.

But you guys don't seem to get that. You know, everyone (almost everyone) deserves a chance.

A judgement = a decision

Infernal Flamming Muffin = Iffy

Hence:

"Infernal Flamming Muffin making a judgement" = "An Iffy decision"

See, it's a pun, based on your PDN.

Oh, so you don't think it would have been a bad idea if I had judged?

Oh, and the pun went into one eye and out my left foot.

You could have reached me through the contest email, or found my personal email from any of my scenarios' readmes. Or sent a PM. Or contacted me through Shadow Va.... oh nevermind.

Funeral services for Ephesos will be held Saturday. He died of boredom waiting for a topic to improve. Alas there will be no more scenarios.

Oh, come on. No one ever died of boredom in less than three hours. The record is currently held by Emma Bratt, who keeled over after repeating variations of "I'm bored. Are we there yet?" for a solid five hours and sixteen minutes. And even that's suspect. There are rumors that she might have been suffocated by her severely irritated parents.

Ahem. Sorry. Dikiyoba can't wait until the rest of the scenarios are released. Especially the Wife of Bath's Tale. That one ought to be good. :P

Ahem... I would like to congratulate Lazarus on 72 hours apparently well spent. A hearty slap on the back to the rest of the entrants, too.

Let's commence with the merry-making, huh? This is supposed to be a party!

Having played TM's entries, I am looking forward to be amazed and astonished by the technical wizardry and in-depth storytelling that will be displayed in the Tales and Darkness.
