Just giving the BoA community a quick update. New monster graphic as well as my first large monster graphic: JPEG version My website, where you can find this graphic. Scenario Update: Last time I checked, I've only recieved three beta reports on my scenario (one of which was from a tester I didn't know about.) I've decided to wait a while before releasing it as it requires extensive tweaking to fix the more annoying parts. Most importantly, it's short, a bit unpolished (ugly looking), and in my opinion, boring. My plan was to make a simple Jeff Vogel style scenario, and though I liked the story, I went a little overboard with unique monster scripts and battles. EDIT: Make that three beta testers. I'd like to thank Niemand, Randomizer, and Max Oliver(?) for beta testing. Heh. Sent in my report within an hour ago. Hopefully it helps. EDIT: Iron golem is nice, and I really like the ogre. Unconventional how the second tile is only used for the swinging arm, but it looks great. -------------------- Beware! To touch these wires is instant death. Anyone found doing so will be prosecuted. quote:It's true that I might have been able to cut some corners and fit the guy into a single box, but the quality would have been compromised. When you make these graphics you place the feet rather than fill the box. If I hadn't placed his feet in the right location, he'd clash with terrain, flooring, and other creature graphics. -------------------- Enraged Slith's Blades of Avernum Website Posts: 1233 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

Gah! I have a half finished beta report in front of me, but I hit a wall when I encountered a rather nasty error with that gremlin that suicides. I'll get it sent to you tonight or tomorrow so my plate is cleared for the 24. Edit: Report sent. When I said later tonight I wasn't messing around. :P [ Friday, July 20, 2007 22:20: Message edited by: Lazarus. ] -------------------- "Heart of Earth located in Europe, Ass of Earth located in USA." *bump for new monster graphic* You can check it out on my website if you're curious. Scenario update: I've decided not to release the scenario as the majority of the combat is even more tedious than regular hack and slash. The larger reason for this decision is that I feel the part I love about this scenario can easily fit in as a humorous side story in another scenario. So, when I make a scenario with enough wiggleroom, I'll include the everything I liked about this scenario as a side story. Thanks to all the testers who helped me get through my "first" scenario. -------------------- Enraged Slith's Blades of Avernum Website Posts: 1233 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

Eh, I'd say release it. You don't have to submit it to Spidweb, just host the .zip and .sit on your site. If you release it, people who don't want to play it aren't compelled to. On the other hand, unreleased means nobody gets a chance at it. Besides, Save All Gremlins Everywhere needs a BoA chapter. The statue looks great, by the way. -------------------- Anyone who expects a source of power from the transformation of the atom is talking moonshine. - Lord Rutherford, 1933 Posts: 1509 | Registered: Tuesday, January 10 2006 08:00 |

Ditto on the statue. And ditto on what Dintiradan said... release it! Doesn't matter how much hack/slash it has, it can't be worse than Shipwrecked! :P In all seriousness, though. Release it. Set it free! -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Another update, this time a new NPC graphic. I actually completed this guy in a single day, so I'm proud (even if I did recycle some of my unfinished graphics). Check it out on my webpage. -------------------- Enraged Slith's Blades of Avernum Website Posts: 1233 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

Awesome. I just realised I've never used one of your character graphics, even though they're some of the best I've seen..... Oh well, I use the armor stands and empire terrains enough to make up for it. Oh and what happened to the preview page? Are you going to finish any of those? I remember there was one I really liked (A paladin maybe?) that looked like all it was missing was a death pose. -------------------- "Heart of Earth located in Europe, Ass of Earth located in USA." The reason I removed the 'Preview' page was because the graphics were either erased or I'd never intend to complete them. As for the Paladin, I recently (as in the last week) nearly finished him. Unfortunately, I'm stuck on his two front attack poses (they just don't look right to me) and cannot think of a way to make them look good. Other than that, he just needs to be chaired and he's good to go. -------------------- Enraged Slith's Blades of Avernum Website Posts: 1233 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

That's the one I was thinking of. It looks great, I'm already using it. -------------------- "Heart of Earth located in Europe, Ass of Earth located in USA." Frostbite: Get It While It's...... Hot? Posts: 900 | Registered: Monday, August 8 2005 07:00 |
