No, this isn't my usual plea for new graphics. Instead, it's my actually contributing graphics to the community. These are part of an update of DoK, which I might actually post at some point. If nothing else, they're also the beginning of DoK2, because I decided that the temple looked weird with trees made out of planks. Of course, the contest comes first, but I hope somebody else can use these at some point. -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." I'll likely participate. I have an idea that I abandoned a long time ago, and now might be the time to drag it back out into the light. It involves chitrachs. If absolute worst came to absolute worst, I'd fragment my 24 hours (if that's even allowed). -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." Whoah, whoah, whoah... everybody calm down for a second. Yelling isn't going to fix the problem. Sadly, I can't help, because I'm a mac user. -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Hm... I smell a contest. Then again, there'd be the problem of getting BoA newbs to get the new file. Unless we got Jeff in on it somehow... -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. (topic revive) Another good one, from my second-to-last day of work. And now (today), I'm done. Yay! -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Posts: 4130 | Registered: Friday, March 26 2004 08:00 |

I like the idea, but again, choosing the new ones seems like it'll be a tough choice. EDIT: Okay, upon looking through Luz's site and the Louvre, there's only one that I can see that would be practical in many scenarios, and that is Andrew Budden's flail. Not that I don't think the others aren't awesome, I'm just looking for overall usefulness. I like the Stephen Colbert prediction best: -Voldemort is the ghost of Harry's father. -Hermione's a dude. -At the very end Harry wakes up to find Patrick Duffy in the shower, and it was all a dream. -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." Yes, but didn't the Toshiba site at least credit Spiderweb? Whoever these Oberon folks are, I don't think Jeff's with them. -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I'm still down with doing a one-day thing. I've been basically cut off from all things BoA for several months, and I could use a jolt to get back into it. And I agree with Laz that having everyone go at once seems much more fun. Still, I'm fine with doing this over a week. Just not yet. -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. As for a potential date, I beg of you: Nothing before the 21st of July. Job makes it impossible, even on weekends (because I'm in such sleep debt that I need them to finish out my time). -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." I would've posted tonight, but I saw the new Die Hard movie tonight. Hm... so we can gather graphics beforehand, as long as we're not making them? EDIT: Oh, and my laptop = busted, so I can't participate quite yet. I sense a fear of long-distance relationships. If that's correct, I can't blame you. I'm horrible with them. But if it's worth maintaining, then they work. But yeah, you're being kinda vague, which makes this kinda difficult. -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." Muffin, thank you, but that's not at all what Dahak was asking about. Interesting double post, LF. Anyway, I'll be more than happy to wrap this up, but don't expect much before Friday. I hate that I keep having to say this, but my job kills me and my creativity over and over again, in an oddly Promethean sort of way. -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." quote:Yay! Zoombinis! They made at least one sequel... not sure if I actually ever played it. Now I feel like playing it again too. SimEarth was awesome... I wish it would run outside of Classic, though. Oh, and one of my favorite moments out of my schooling was when I corrected one of my elementary school teachers on the spelling of aqueduct. How did I know this? Civilization II. :P -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Ah, good... I was a little concerned when I read the posts about Vahkhos coming back, but couldn't find the corresponding text on the actual page.
