I can vouch for the program's usefulness... it's also a great brainstorming tool: Just look at a given creature in all 1024 forms, and see if you don't come up with something. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Actually, it only happens once in Bahss. More than once would've just been evil. And yes, it'd be great to be able to defeat that challenge on the fly, but when you've got your fighter as your first character (usually armed to the teeth with super-powerful items), the extra blessings given to it by the PC-stealing drake lord make it almost impossible. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Yes, I agree as well. I mean, it's normal to see Alo, Thuryl, or TM (when he was here, that is) change names, but it seems like everyone chose to change at the same time. Personally, I've never changed my name, and I don't plan on it. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead. Yeah, I meant the last few plots. Look at how the slope changes. And another reason for more posts, at least for me: I really don't want to do homework right now. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. Hm... I think I see the pattern. The rate of posting appears to be increasing. Possible reasons: -When stats get released, everyone wants to post more. -We have a new/returned troll (perhaps even because of the above point). -The RP is rolling again (unlikely). Of course, I'm no statistician. It could just be random. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead. With a passion. quote:Because they're good at it. Look at your last post if you need proof... Djur has succeeded where so many other trolls have failed. Djur has managed to annoy people consistently, but without instantly getting banned. Of course, this doesn't make the action inherently good. It is still annoying, even though the craftsmanship speaks for itself. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead. Okay, I think I know where you are. If this is the part where your lead character gets possessed and tries to kill the rest of you, then you just need to take away all of their weapons before they get possessed. Alternatively, you can just switch your weakest PC into the lead spot. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead. Okay then, I think you forgot to search the entire level. Basically, you need to go all the way around the level to get to the open portculli (the southern ones). It's really just a long path which winds all the way around the center, and it eventually leads you there. If you really get stumped, you can always open up the Scenario Editor and find the path. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. Okay, you really need to be much more specific if you want help. Fortunately, most of us can recognize that you're talking about The Valley of Dying Things, but that still doesn't quite tell us where you are in that scenario. More specifically: Which portcullis, which dungeon? (Next time, please just tell us which scenario you're in, as well as where you are in it) -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. It will NOT check for special encounters when in cutscene mode. That would probably have made things too complicated, engine-wise. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. You definitely have to make them step on it. I've tried the "teleport them onto the square" approach, and it doesn't work. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. You know, there's an massive thread already devoted to A4. No need to start another one. And that's been argued about extensively in that thread. How can you expect anyone to object to one of these, Thuryl? Seriously, I can't think of many people that would've taken it this far, and you've got Alex to back you up with illustrations now. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Correct me if I'm wrong, but making a space blocked just keeps the party from being placed there (which effectively counters the "fight, end combat" method of avoiding encounters/traps). Enemies won't walk there, and nothing can be summoned onto that square. Of course, it's completely different if you're using block_entry(). -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead.
