Look under NPC information. EDIT: It appears that Hsska is the only NPC other than Falko that you can get to join you in the demo. Yes. Seeing as how there are three third-party BoA scenarios (four if you count Undead Valley, as yet unreleased, or five if you count the utility HLPM), this should not come as a surprise. EDIT: I can't wait to see where THIS is going. As a sidenote, a presidential candidate must get a majority of electoral votes to win the election. If no one gets more than 50% of the electoral votes, then the vote goes to (I think) the House of Representatives, which has never happened before as far as I know. In the 2000 election (which was essentially a tie), people were discussing all sorts of strange possibilities for what might happen, because contingency plans for unusual situations had never really been designed in US presidential electoral law. The Supreme Court eventually decided that Bush had a majority of electoral votes, but it was a pretty close call. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Yeah, me too. EDIT: Three script databases? That would mean that every time I write a new script, I would have to upload it to my website, post it at the Lyceum, submit it to UA's script archive, and then add it here, too? Nah. I'll use my website and the Lyceum and probably UA's script archive, too, but this is too much work. EDIT 2: *smacks head* And a graphics archive, too? Two words: the Louvre. But whatever. If you want to put in the effort to maintain this, it won't hurt the community, so I can't object. If he doesn't remember, e-mail him again. And again. And keep prodding him until he does remember. That's the primary way to get things done around here. (I'm guessing you know this already, but just in case.) EDIT: It would be really awesome if you could get icon adjustment to work in the 3D Editor. Really, really awesome. 1. From Schro's walkthrough (link at the top of this forum): "Q: How do I get into Gazak-Uss? A: First talk with the hermit to the SW. This gets you into outer Gazak-Uss. Then collect 3 broken crystal pieces- this gets you into inner Gazak-Uss. " 2. I forget which one this is, but Schro's walkthrough will probably tell you what you want to know. Look for the part with the heading "Shath's Wastes." 3. Ur-Drakon. The thing looks even crazier than a regular drakon. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Finnish is evidently quite hard. It has far too many cases (although I hope that means it has few declension classes, ie most words decline much the same way) and not enough vocabulary in common with Indo-European (read: NORMAL) languages. I say that based only on a superficial look, though. Finnish is a Uralic language, Finno-Ugric specifically, making it a relative of Hungarian and Estonian. This presumably means it comes from pre-Slavic and pre-Germanic migrations. Finno-Ugric languages were spoken throughout most of European Russia before the Russians invaded in, er, the 1400's or something like that. Finnish and Estonian are two of the only major languages left from those pre-Russian cultures, Laap (in Russia right next to Finland) and a few languages spoken in Siberia being a few of the others. The Hungarians descend from a later invasion from Central Asia or Siberia, if I'm not mistaken. Finnish is not "genetically" (as linguists say) close to other local languages like Russian or Swedish, although I imagine it must have a fair number of loan words, borrowed vocabulary from years of conquest and cultural exchange. All of this information comes from off the top of my head though, so don't blame me if I'm mistaken. I'm something of a linguistics junkie, but the details get confused sometimes. For comparison, as everyone knows, Spanish descends genetically from Latin, making it part of the Romance family of the Indo-European language phylum, and it has a fair mixture of Arabic from years of Moorish rule. Spanish as spoken in Spain bears European areal features (the use of the word "ordenador" instead of "computadora" as a loan word from French, for instance) that make it rather odd-sounding to Latin Americans. And then, of course, the pre-colonial languages of Latin America have had an influence on American Spanish in different ways, particularly near the Andes mountains, where Quechua is still a widely spoken language. There is a term for this, but I forget what it is. (Substratum, my book informs me.) Spanish is a relatively easy language for English speakers to learn, due to its simple phonetic system and its significant number of cognates, as well as nigh-on identical constructions. So, um, yeah. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Or better, use the get_level to figure out the party's level and just plop them into the right scenario directly. If all you're using are set_level commands to change the monsters, this could be accomplished with a single SDF and one "if" per town. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Just use parentheses everywhere to tell BoA what order you want things to be evaluated, and you'll be fine. Both in regular math and in BoA, 9 - (3 - 3) = 9 and (9 - 3) - 3 = 3. Everything else is superfluous if you just use a lot of parentheses. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. You could make that one button not disappear somehow... although I have no concept of how hard that would be to do. I for one would not object to a random button still being there in outdoor mode. EDIT: And, as you probably noticed, in a topic here, Jeff said that Spiderweb will put up a "utilities for BoA" section beside the scenarios. He implied that it would contain the 3D Editor. So it looks like it will be available on Spiderweb itself, which is far better than I could do.
