How can you hate Gershwin? Rhapsody in Blue is amazing!

And Stravinsky wrote Firebird, not Tschaikovsky. Ah well.

God bless Tschaikovsky. I must have listened to the Infernal Suite from Firebird about 57 times. Shiver me timbers.

Gershwin and Tschaikovsky are all a person needs to be happy. :P

It's been a few years, but I definitely liked 'Pearls of Lutra'. And the bleepity bleeping descriptions of food in those books made me drool.

Hey, those games were actaully pretty challenging. Murr. Maybe I was just missing something...

Ocean Bound, on the other hand, is like Warcraft minus the plot, elves, dwarves, orcs, humans, towns, sound, graphics, and in fact, everything but a recogniziable program, which doesn't include plot.

I haven't gotten a chance to see it yet, but I hope it's good. The books are fantastic. I used to stand in front of my mirror every night trying to ruffle up my hair and imagine it was black to make it look like Harry's and fake a British accent so I could try out for the movies, if auditions came around again.

Did anyone notice that the entire first half of the third movie had only about two lines of dialogue?

I think my first moniker was 'Robinator II', then a whole crazy bunch of variations on that, something like "God of All Fish" for a while (wherever that came from), then 'Fries With That', then Robin again, and now, finally, degeneratingly, this.

My dream is to have my title be changed from 'Adept' to 'Pool of Estrogen'.

And just for old time's sake:

That was before the world of Play Station decided to turn halos into miles-wide weapons of galactic destruction, which probably isn't what St. Peter had in mind anyway. I'm not sure having one of those hovering over my head would get me into Heaven.

What did halos actually DO anyway? If I had one, would I be able to use it like a cupholder and stick drinks through it? Or would it just be a ring hanging over my head, banging into the wall above my head every time I walked through a doorway?

A random instant message from Scorpius today reminded me of the good old Golden Days of Spiderweb, back when the Ikonboard was still prominent and everyone was about 6 years younger. Looking back, I realized I was an annoying 10 year-old then who would have annoyed the crap out of me today. But there were so many memories, like the scourge of the Black Marks, and even before the Ikonboards, the huge AOL Instant Messenger chats Jeff himself used to have with fans. Ahh, jeez. The good old days.

So I'm just wondering, who of you have been around to see Spideyweb mature, and what are you're favorite old memories—or you're most well-remembered—of Spiderweb and the boards?

Let's see. Most of my vocabulary I got from 'Calvin and Hobbes' (which isn't really a book, but hey). The other ones that have really changed me are 'Lord of the Rings' (ah, bite me), 'The Chronicles of Narnia' (my first books), 'The DaVinci Code' (even if it's not very accurate), 'A Brief History of Time' (absolutely amazing and you can understand it, too!), 'Watership Down' (you can't go wrong with talking rabbits), and 'Good Omens' by Terry Prachett and Neil Gaimen. I love Terry Prachett.

Actually, just about every book I've liked has changed my life somehow. So you can slap Harry Potter up there too.

Over the course of about 4 days, I slammed about 266 lines of code into my graphing calculator so it would fill the screen with this:

()()()()()()()()
)()()()()()()()(
()()()()()()()()
)()()()()()()()(
()()()()()()()()
)()()()()()()()(
()()()()()()()()
)()()()()()()()(

Then this:

)()()()()()()()(
()()()()()()()()
)()()()()()()()(
()()()()()()()()
)()()()()()()()(
()()()()()()()()
)()()()()()()()(
()()()()()()()()

and then alternate between the two images for all eternity or until I hit the 'on' button. Needless to say, it was completely worthless and strangely satisfying.
