Ahh! I looked at the walkthrough provided for Doom Moon II and it didn't make any sense! It said in the section titled 'Cave of Dragons' that there were trapped tiles and rigged braziers at certain locations, but practically always those were just the locations of blank cave floor or walls. What's going on? I'm stuck in the Dragon's Cave, having just woken up the dragons. I've even tried doing things like completely boxing them in with force barriers and stuff so they can't touch me, souping up my party with Major Blessing and Protection, and just trying to speed off, but I'm still destroyed by their mega-spells like Unholy Magic and Major Kill. Is there an easier way to escape the dragons, or should I just toughen up my level 46 party and keep trying to run away? As long as it's a Mac with 256 and thousands of colors (or even just 256) and has at least OS 7.5, preferably cleaned out after the last use, you should be golden! Before 7.5, I wouldn't risk it. Pardon my ignorance; I haven't been here in a while. I was just browsing through Spidweb's Blades of Avernum and Blades of Exile scenario lists, and there seem to be hardly any scenarios there compared to all the ones discussed in the Lyceum. So I'm just wondering, where are the most inclusive scneario download tables around here? And by the way, while I'm at it, is there anywhere to find a walkthrough for Doom Moon II? I'm already stuck, and I just started. -------------------- Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck. Hmm, I would, but the bandwidth needed even to just upload a compressed version would exceed that of probably any of the nice free uploading websites. If you can find someone who has their own non-affiliated website with a lot of room left on it, it's worth a shot. -------------------- Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck. Wow. Cool! Yeah, that's me. Robinator. Wow. Those were the days. I have no idea how the replication got on a website, but cool nonetheless. Only problem is, I couldn't open the website, I'm not sure if that version is really completely finished, and it was written about 5 years ago by an annoying 10 year old (now an annoying 15 year old). If you have any problems with it, e-mail me! (darobinbot@communistsquirrel.com) -------------------- Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck. I remade all the towns from the first chapter of Exile II and a chunk of the outdoor terrain too. If you want it, feel free to ask! But yeah, it really is kind of pointless. I was intending to use the replication as the setting for a custom scenario, but then high school came along. I haven't touched it for about two years. Still, replicating IS kinda fun, especially if you're very dedicated and have a lot of time on your hands. Go for it! Exile III would be really tough but very cool. -------------------- Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck. Shade the picture, and push your values. Exaggerate all the shading and be sure to make things darker than white if they're any color other than white. Detail things meant to be closer to the viewer more than those in the back, and make the closer things lighter and/or have more varying shading than those in the back. Also, use texture. Show that there are leaves by making a few lines where the edges of some leaves should be, and use contour lines where you can. Also, don't detail the grass so much (don't show all the individual blades) unless you want people to pay the most attention to the grass. Things that are more detailed attract more attention than those that are not. And so on! Peachy idea for a picture, but there really doesn't seem to be much of a point to it. Maybe put something outstanding in the middle, like a person or a huge rock or something. -------------------- Fo shizzle, my lord. Two goldfish are in a tank. Well, ACTUALLY, I've been working on total terrain replication of Exile 2 to run on BoE for about 3 years now and have successfully completed a small fraction. So far I've completely replicated all the towns in Chapter 1 of Exile 2, which should be just what you're looking for. They're all accurate down to the last space, only the use BoE graphics instead of Exile 2 graphics. So if you or anyone else wants them, send me an e-mail at darobinbot@mail.com Thankee! -------------------- Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck. You know, somehow Star Trek just doesn't ring it for me. But meh, you never know. When I was like 8, I always used to think of this image when I thought of the word "body". I really don't think it's, you know, Freudian, though. -------------------- Fo shizzle, my lord. Two goldfish are in a tank. One says to the other, "Do you know how to drive this thing?" If it helps, I keep on imagining the picture done in black ink, maybe a tiny bit dark green, on whitish parchment. Kind of like a Sumi drawing. And try to imagine the shape in gray alone, without the funky little background patch. That's just in there to make it more visually interesting. I think there's some painting of the Grail that looks like this... -------------------- Fo shizzle, my lord. Two goldfish are in a tank. One says to the other, "Do you know how to drive this thing?" For some reason, and for as long as I can remember, I occasionally think about this picture, or something like it, and everybody I've shown it to says it looks really familiar. So, just out of curiosity, what are the names of the members in your various Spiderweb game parties? My BoE characters (BoE being the only game I really play any more) are... Merp (a Slith with a Sheep graphic) Furdle (a Nephil with an Alien Beast graphic) Vazhnagok (a Human with a Vahnatai graphic) Scipahoodle (a Human with a Nephil graphic) Droodle (a Human) and Drop (a Human with a Demon graphic) If you're wondering about the weird graphics, I...rearranged some of the BoE graphics files a little. :P -------------------- Fo shizzle, my lord. Alright, now I've technically beaten the scenario, but I still want to find the Squeak the Pig bean pet, only I have no idea where to look! I've talked to Max in Bobling and looked at the boulder in the forests near Wellim, but now I'm stuck. Where should I go next? And also, in Schernbuk at night, on the outside of one of the homes on northwest corner, there's this wall with a big rune on it. I'm sure it's significant, because it brought up a dialog box, but I have no idea how to get through it to the secret room behind it. As much as I love Nethergate, it would kind of be nice if it didn't suck to be the Romans. I mean, with the Celts, you can really win. With the Romans, it just says that all your hard work ultimately didn't do much. And there's a lot bigger bias against them, anyway. -------------------- Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck.
