It's Picasso.

10 points. I remembered reading it a couple of years ago, couldn't find it online (granted, I looked for about 30 seconds) and just posted the essence.

And Nicholiah, why does it all depend on the different forms of art? Surely art is all the same - the artists expression of an idea, or ideal?

You gave Nicothodes an opportunity to engage in her favorite hobby of stabbing people and gave Nikki material to write brilliant poems about by making his life miserable. It was clearly a selfless and noble deed. :P

Dikiyoba.

I *like* Bandit Busywork! And one day I'll release my port of it too.

And besides, everybody knows that "Art is lies that tell the truth."

IMAGINE THIS SCENARIO should be played by everybody who has access to BoA. Aphobia is great too, just not as great.

I protest! The three from El Presidente are not villians. They are hardly even characters! :P

Oh, and everybody knows Emery J. Bishop is by and far the most important villian to ever grace these boards.

*blushes*

Erm, okay.

In addition to the above statement, which I stubbornly maintain must stay, nickel is silvery white in colour, which perfectly compliments my less-than-tanned appearance.

Nickel is also slow to react with air, but is very reactive in general, which is sorta odd, because I have quite a long fuse, but can explode with enough prompting... It's so odd. After chosing an element at random, I'm now finding out that it fits me!!

As has been said, nickel is magnetic. And while I wouldn't say that I am a "babe magnet" I can be quite charming and do tend to gravitate towards groups, just as nickel is mostly found in various compounds.

Finally, nickel is also a carcinogen, and, anybody who knows me particularly well will tell you that knowing me is not good for their general well-being.

Better??

I protest! Back in the day, plays on an elements name were highly respected!

Anyway, my original statement still stands: I chose Nickel because it sounds like Nikki, because it's magnetic, and because Cobalt is taken. Only one of the three is about it's name, too. :P

I have a pair of glasses, but I don't *really* need them. In fact (and I hope this will greatly annoy her), I'm like Dikiyoba. Not quite 20-20 vision without them, but it's good enough.

And I find the blurriness helps me palate the world a whole lot more. :P

My favourite: E3 or BoA.

No, I wasn't complainging about the shots - they're fine.

And the old Nethergate just has a charm that's hard to describe. It all seems that bit more special, more magical, because it wasn't Avernum or Geneforge. And now it is.

Yeah, I'm still designing, and I think we can safely assume TM isn't gonna give up any time soon.

We also have several graphic artists (Ephesos included) who are making cool little things to shove into our scenarios. So what gives?

I think it's the time old "it's too hard to design for BoA" thing. Which is a fair argument. Sorta. I'm tempted to make a scenario that is a guide to making scenarios, just to show that it isn't that difficult. As TM said "this ****, taken as a hobby, is fairly easy."

Then we need to lean on Jeff to promote the scenarios that we already have. Or even better, the BoA community. People aren't going to be buying/playing BoA if they don't know where to get scenarios from. Or even if there are scenarios to get. And once we have a healthy amount of people playing the things, new designers should hopefully come forward.

Edit: Damn autocensor. I thought America was land of the free? And that word isn't even offensive. Gah.

Hey, if there's anybody who is near the Aerie, could you please take a screenshot of the boulder puzzles for me?

I'd do it, but the only saved games I have are just before the Gate is opened, and I can't leave the Spire.

Thanks.

I found Exile 3 on a rather dodgy shareware disk that happened to appear in my house - I swear nobody knows how it appeared.

Anyway, I played the demo to death, went back to the said dodgy CD, and also found the demo of Nethergate. So I played the demo for that for about a month before I pointed my browser to this site, and bought E3.

I didn't come to the forums for a while after that, but I registered on my first day of visiting.

And I'd like to think I've done a few neat things within my scenarios - nothing compared to TM, Kel, Laz and the like, of course.

As far as I can see, there's always a way around a problem, even if it's a really messy chunk of code that could be simplified into one call.

One problem is not knowing whether you can do something until you have read the manual yet again.
You could just go ahead and try it, and then if it doesn't work, consult the manual...

I suppose my biggest wish for this game is that it would be a little more popular. The designing community hasn't grown that much since the release of the game and I'm not sure if people outside that group are even playing the scenarios anymore... On top of that, for whatever reason, some of our more experienced designers just up and quit (*i, Kelandon). I wouldn't be so upset if it wasn't for the fact that I think BoA could make a comeback.
I agree, 100%. It'd be nice to have fresh blood, and we've succeded to an extent - just look at the entries from the last few contests.

Just who exactly is an active designer here, anyway??
