Which Spiderweb game you like most? I like Avernum 4 most ,it was the first Spiderweb game that I played ,and I got used to Geneforge engine so much that I couldnt get used to Avernum engine in A1-3 and that bothered me the most(it didnt stop me from finishing them).I like the Avernum more than Geneforge(i like Geneforge too)because it is larger ,ther isnt area crossing which bothers me and there are a lot of sidequests and you create parties and train each party member in other skill. But just becouse I got so used to Geneforge engine is why I prefer Avernum 4 over other Avernums. I am glad that new Spiderweb games will run on Geneforge engine. I'll go ahead and say Nethergate: Ressurection. A2 is always a contender, but the plot wins in that one. —Alorael, who will note that G4 is a very good game if you like the Geneforge engine and that A5 will be magnificent with the same caveat. I prefer the Geneforge series because of the way everything moves (spaces annoy me a bit), because the Travel screen saves so much time, and because I like singletons much better than parties. I have also played part of Avernum 4 and I just started Nethergate:Resurrection. -------------------- "I intend to find out who has the most treasure, kill them, take it, and repeat the process." I feel like rating the games. A1-8.9 A2-9.9 A3-9.2 A4-5.6 G1-9.0 G2-9.1 G3-7.8 G4-9.7 I haven't finished N:R so I wont rate that. Yet. G4, probably followed by a four way tie of G1, A2, A3, and BoA. Meh. They're all good. [ Wednesday, September 26, 2007 12:42: Message edited by: Turtleking ] -------------------- Fluffy Turtles of the World, Unite! Posts: 1186 | Registered: Friday, June 18 2004 07:00 |

Very well, Nem. I guess it is quite common. I do maintain, however, that the Facebook audience was untapped at the time. A2 and Nethergate original are still my favorites. A5 is looking to be a close contender except that there are too many places where you can't leave the area until the boss fight. Can't wait until I have time to replay the game and see if I can make a party that will get out of chapter 4 without having to do the quests. BoE is dozens of games for the price of one. If you count only games with Jeff's content, I'd say Avernum 2, Geneforge 2, Nethergate, and Geneforge 4. My least favorite one is AvernumForge (sometimes called Avernum 4). That's the only Spidweb game for which I lost interest before finishing the demo, despite relatively small demo area. -------------------- Be careful with a word, as you would with a sword, For it too has the power to kill. E2 is and always will be Jeff Vogels masterpiece. The story, the scope, It's simply an epic. E3 was bigger, but I've always felt it was a little stretched out. Posts: 57 | Registered: Monday, December 20 2004 08:00 |

BoA is my favorite. Though I do like A4 a lot. Why? I don't really know. But it's one of the few games I've finished. -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! 8.9 = 'inspired lunacy' 9.0 = 'I laughed, I cried' 9.1 = 'heady, tart, with a hint of arrogance' Is this so much clearer? -------------------- We're not doing cool. We're doing pretty. Posts: 3335 | Registered: Thursday, September 4 2003 07:00 |
