The only way to maintain control is through more regulation. Just ask a Republican. Otherwise anyone can do it. Sorry Synergy, I think you should get magic as a member of the controllers. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Dude, where's my Radical Castle? Edit: This may be the Ouroborous to end all Ouroborouses. Now all we need is Alec to return (again) with (another) account, to proclaim it. No, now all we need is Dikiyoba writing in her script about Alec returning to denounce this travesty. -------------------- The Noble and Most Ancient Order of Polaris - We're Not Yet Dead. The exact quote: "We all know that art is not truth. Art is the lie that makes us realize truth -- at least the truth that is given us to understand." It's Picasso. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central "Making poorly-sourced claims is not the same as determining something." That quote may be true in some aspects, but not all. It really depends on the form of art. Picasso was an abstract painter. His art was a truth interpreting lie. On the other hand take Monet. He was an impressionist. His paintings were to get people to look at life in a different way. Picasso's paintings did the same thing only on a much more massive degree. Some of his paintings were quite horrific but they were just a point of view. Music is also and art form. As is dancing and sculpting and writing. It really depends on your form of art. Forgive me if I decline to learn about art from someone who tells me with some exactness what the purpose of the art was and what its impact is, as if those things were knowable. quote:10 points. I remembered reading it a couple of years ago, couldn't find it online (granted, I looked for about 30 seconds) and just posted the essence. And Nicholiah, why does it all depend on the different forms of art? Surely art is all the same - the artists expression of an idea, or ideal? quote:That's true, but we will also have to regulate scripting. Which is best accomplished using magic. Then we'll need scripters to regulate the mages regulating scripters. And mages regulating scripters regulating mages regulating scripters. And scripters ... quote:Yes, we did. And we tried to avoid topics like this, leading to a steady decline in board activity, setting a new record low for the number of "active members" every month. I suggest you go through your statistical data and plot the number of active members against the number of posts in community-oriented topics. The results might turn out to be highly instructive. -------------------- Be careful with a word, as you would with a sword, For it too has the power to kill.
