I was thinking of playing A2 with a singleton, but I was very dissapointed playing A1 with a singleton because you can't get past lvl 40. Is it the same way in A2? EDIT: Also the link to the avernum annotated maps don't seem to be working. I only use it when I am playing a singleton. BTW I am replaying Avernum (as a singleton) and I can't get remember how to get past the final gauntlet. I've turned all the wheels I can find but can't get past those stalactites. Also I have searched extensively for a secret passage. -------------------- "Like most of life's problems, this one can be solved with bending" Posts: 287 | Registered: Tuesday, August 19 2003 07:00 |

It's possible that the pieces that it builds are random. I mean, I can't imagine that the computer looks very far ahead because it does horrendously idiotic things. A strategy you can use if there is a bottleneck is simply wait for their unit (whatever you want to call them) to get next to yours and just kill them. Also they do seem to favor taking land over killing pieces, which can often be just as annoying. -------------------- "Like most of life's problems, this one can be solved with bending" Posts: 287 | Registered: Tuesday, August 19 2003 07:00 |

I went to wikipedia once in hopes of gaining some understanding of cricket, but I only became more confused even after reading the article several times. -------------------- "Like most of life's problems, this one can be solved with bending" Posts: 287 | Registered: Tuesday, August 19 2003 07:00 |

Yes, Wikipedia is glorious. Anything having to do with computers or gaming is covered there in excess. I spent time reading their countless articles when I am (really) bored. quote:That's not at all what I meant. I was saying that in the mind of whoever it is who believes, their idea of God is what they will use as justification for their actions. Their interpretation of God and (Instead of writing "he/she/it for God i'll just write "it") it's teachings are what matters. It is irrelevant what their deity "believes" because their deity has no tangible effect on them. Saying that our President is inspired by God is ridiculous. He is inspired by the Bible and his interpretation of Christianity. Try Realmz. It's very similar to BoE but with more of a standard RPG feel to it. -------------------- "Like most of life's problems, this one can be solved with bending" Posts: 287 | Registered: Tuesday, August 19 2003 07:00 |

The second test I like better because the questions are more vague and you can't arrive at the result that you want as easily. The questions on the first test show obviously the religion that it will give points to. But on the second one can actually suprise you. For example I try to stay as far away from most monotheistic religions as I can. But I ended up with very high Christian score. And Ben ended up being 100% Quaker :P . -------------------- "Like most of life's problems, this one can be solved with bending" Posts: 287 | Registered: Tuesday, August 19 2003 07:00 |

http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html Try this test. It has more religions in the results section and is more interesting. -------------------- "Like most of life's problems, this one can be solved with bending" Posts: 287 | Registered: Tuesday, August 19 2003 07:00 |

My favorite for all my avi movies is VLC. Quicktime for a mac does not play them. I like VLC better than quicktime too so I use it for my mpgs too. quote:I fail to see how the War in Iraq did much to combat terrorism. People decide to attack the U.S. because of sanctions preventing important things like medicine to enter their country and events like the war itself. America's foreign policy has bred terrorists and if we continue in the same way, there will be more instead of less. Also, an out of control military budget is no reason to go around looking for places to "liberate" -------------------- "Like most of life's problems, this one can be solved with bending" Posts: 287 | Registered: Tuesday, August 19 2003 07:00 |
