I was thinking of playing A2 with a singleton, but I was very dissapointed playing A1 with a singleton because you can't get past lvl 40. Is it the same way in A2?

EDIT: Also the link to the avernum annotated maps don't seem to be working.

I only use it when I am playing a singleton. BTW I am replaying Avernum (as a singleton) and I can't get remember how to get past the final gauntlet. I've turned all the wheels I can find but can't get past those stalactites. Also I have searched extensively for a secret passage.

It's possible that the pieces that it builds are random. I mean, I can't imagine that the computer looks very far ahead because it does horrendously idiotic things. A strategy you can use if there is a bottleneck is simply wait for their unit (whatever you want to call them) to get next to yours and just kill them. Also they do seem to favor taking land over killing pieces, which can often be just as annoying.

I went to wikipedia once in hopes of gaining some understanding of cricket, but I only became more confused even after reading the article several times.

Yes, Wikipedia is glorious. Anything having to do with computers or gaming is covered there in excess. I spent time reading their countless articles when I am (really) bored.

Why the heck should it work for Gods? Only if you've decided that in the context of 'God', 'reality' means something quite different from what it means for electrons and Buicks, perhaps something like what would otherwise be called 'vividness' or 'emotional significance'. That might be a viable terminological convention for atheists discussing religion, but it's hardly common usage. And it retains the common drawback of terminology that alters standard definitions without notice, of being confusing - perhaps not least to those who introduce it.

That's not at all what I meant. I was saying that in the mind of whoever it is who believes, their idea of God is what they will use as justification for their actions. Their interpretation of God and (Instead of writing "he/she/it for God i'll just write "it") it's teachings are what matters. It is irrelevant what their deity "believes" because their deity has no tangible effect on them. Saying that our President is inspired by God is ridiculous. He is inspired by the Bible and his interpretation of Christianity.

Try Realmz. It's very similar to BoE but with more of a standard RPG feel to it.

Ben, the God that Muslims worship (Even violent, fundamentalist Muslims) is just as real as you, or anyone elses God. It is irrelevant whether anyone else believes in it. Their belief in their God is what makes it real.

The second test I like better because the questions are more vague and you can't arrive at the result that you want as easily. The questions on the first test show obviously the religion that it will give points to. But on the second one can actually suprise you. For example I try to stay as far away from most monotheistic religions as I can. But I ended up with very high Christian score. And Ben ended up being 100% Quaker :P .

Try this test. It has more religions in the results section and is more interesting.

My favorite for all my avi movies is VLC. Quicktime for a mac does not play them. I like VLC better than quicktime too so I use it for my mpgs too. (Just look for it on google it's a free download)

Yes, I do support Bush, and I think he is a good President and doing what he can to keep the country safe, prosperous, and most importantly, terrorist-free.

The War in Iraq was in response to a threat of terrorism (ie WMDs) and there's no excuse for a nation like ours that is easily capable of combatting such terrorism so sit on their butts and hoard their resources, saying it's none of thier business. Especially since they were attacked by terrorists already.
I fail to see how the War in Iraq did much to combat terrorism. People decide to attack the U.S. because of sanctions preventing important things like medicine to enter their country and events like the war itself. America's foreign policy has bred terrorists and if we continue in the same way, there will be more instead of less. Also, an out of control military budget is no reason to go around looking for places to "liberate"
