This is bobxp. [/short post] anyway, Radiant, how did you disable the print-screen key? I tried to rip some of the graphics, but I couldn't paste anything. -_- if you were wondering what for, anyone remember the pits? That was a crappy game, but I got really bored lately and made a completely new engine... heh. Now I'm making a proper subterra clone. w00t w00t w00t. [/stuff that nobody wants to know about] by the way, I think I remember Radiant saying he would release ST as freeware? or is this just my memory being crappy as usual. -------------------- why does this board hate msnm users?? <_< anyway, I'm omfgmouse@hotmail.co.uk ;) Posts: 1 | Registered: Sunday, July 31 2005 07:00 |

Yes, SubTerra is now free. (No, Radiant isn't giving refunds. :) ) I don't think he reads these boards any more. He now has his own forums here: http://crystalshard.net/ (The forums themselves are: http://www.drod.net/forum/viewboard.php?BoardID=17 ) -------------------- Be careful with a word, as you would with a sword, For it too has the power to kill. As Zeviz said. And, just because the game is freeware, doesn't mean you can rip any of the graphics. I believe we've talked about this before - just don't do it. -------------------- Pieter Simoons, aka Radiant Official Crystal Shard and SubTerra webpage Posts: 798 | Registered: Monday, December 17 2001 08:00 |

Somebody had tried using Windows emulator. I don't remember if they were successful, but you can try it again. I remember Radiant was making some fixes to make the game work better in Windows emulator. -------------------- Be careful with a word, as you would with a sword, For it too has the power to kill. It works in Wine, at any rate. I'm afraid I don't have a mac to test it on, even if SubTerra code would likely compile on one (since it uses SDL) -------------------- Pieter Simoons, aka Radiant Official Crystal Shard and SubTerra webpage Posts: 798 | Registered: Monday, December 17 2001 08:00 |

It worked slowly with Virtual PC, but that was several versions of SubTerra ago and several versions of VPC ago. I'd test it again, but I currently don't have any version of VPC that will run on my computer. —Alorael, who hasn't tried ST2 yet for the same reason. Perhaps one day...
