I just received this email. I think it is poppycock. But As I rarely receive emails, I thought it was interesting.

From: Mrs. Esther Buch

PLEASE ENDEAVOURS TO USE IT FOR THE CHILDREN OF GOD.

I am the above named person from Malaysia but now
undergoing medical treatment now.I am married to Late Dr.Alan George Buch who worked with Malaysia embassy in South Africa for nine years before
he died in the year 2003. We were married for eleven years without a child. and we were Great members of the fortune city couples club, and our dream has always being to help The less privilege children and adults in our society.until recently death took away my Lovely husband.

He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Before his death we were both born again Christians. Since his death I decided not to re-marry or get a child outside my matrimonial home which the Bible is against. When my late husband was alive he
deposited the sum of$8.6Million (eight Million six hundred thousand U.S. Dollars) with one
finance/security company in Europe.

Presently, this money is still with the Financial Company in Europe. Recently, my Doctor told me that I would not last for the next three months due to cancer problem.
Though what disturbs me most is my stroke. Having known my condition I decided to donate this fund to church or better still a Christian individual that will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct here in. so I decided I contact A fellow God fearing member of the FORTUNE CITY CLUB [INTERNATIONAL COUPLES] that will use this to fund to assist orphanages homes, widows, and the less privilege in our society propagating the word of God and to ensure that this funds is used judiously for the purpose it is meant for.

I took this decision because I don’t have any child that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are not Christians and I don’t want my husband?s hard
earned money to be misused by unbelievers. I don’t want a situation where this money will be used in an ungodly manner, hence the reason for taking this bold
decision. I am not afraid of death hence I know where I am going. I know that I am going to be in the bosom of the Lord.

Exodus 14 VS 14 says that the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace. I don’t need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health, and because of the presence of my husband’s relatives around me always. I don’t want them to know about this development. With God all things are possible.

As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Finance/Security
Company in Europe. I will also issue you a letter of authority through my attorney Advocate Smith Edward Fevinn who has his chambers in the Netherlands, this letter will empower you as the original- beneficiary of this fund. I want you and the
church and all other members of FORTUNE CITY CLUB to always pray for me because the lord is my shepherd. My happiness is that I lived a life of a worthy Christian. Whoever that wants to serve the Lord must serve him in spirit and truth. Please always be prayerful
all through your life.

Any delay in your reply will give me room in sourcing for a church or
Christian individual for this same purpose. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I stated herein.

Hoping to hear from and wishing

Remain blessed in the name of the Lord.

Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Esther buch.

Overwhelming, you have managed to pull me out of silence again and caused me to make a comment defending gays again.

I can never understand how anyone can believe that God created people like me, with the sexuality that they have, and expect them to go against their basic nature and live out their lives as a lie being straight. I believe in a God that makes gays like me the way they are because he wants them to be that way. Not so they can go through life in constant suffering because they think God wants them to be straight while their mind and soul tells them that they are not.

I only believe in the teachings of Jesus, and not anything else really in the Bible. The Bible was written by men, and just because they were divinely inspired by God, that does not mean that God himself wrote the Bible. Everything in the Bible was written by a human being, and human beings are not without fault. They will put whatever they think is right and just into the Bible. Also, Paul said that people are not to judge others.

I must also say that I am a Christian as is my boyfriend. I know what love is now and I thank God every day for introducing me to the love of my life. I refuse to believe that God did not have some hand in bringing us together. And we will never agree that it is a sin for us to love each other. Such love cannot be wrong in God's eyes, or he would have disapproved of David and Jonathan's relationship in the Bible. A true gay romance story.

Also, Jesus once even approved of a Centurion's love for his servant boy. The whole verse deals with the centurion's faith in Jesus as a healer, but Jesus would have been blind not to know the relationship between the two during that time in history. It was well known during that time, when the Roman Empire was in rule, that homosexuality was an accepted sexuality all around their empire. Jesus most certainly would have known this, and yet he did not judge the centurion concerning his gay relationship with his servant. If this was such a grievous sin, then why did Jesus not take this opportunity to comment on another supposed sin and cleanse this man of his supposed bad sexuality?

It could only be because he himself did not believe it was a sin. He was most impressed by the centurion's faith in him and even knowing that the centurion would go on loving his servant, Jesus still healed him.

I will never ever believe that the God I believe in wants everyone in the world to be straight, including the people he created gay. God is a part of my life and he will always be. If my sexuality is such a horrible sin, then why has he been blessing me so much lately? I found my soul mate, I will be getting a job within a month, I will soon have a house, I am losing weight, and I am finally soon going to be able to drive.

On the judgment day, we will all see who was right and who was wrong.

That reminds me, if you think homosexuality is so unnatural, than why is it so evident in nature? Oh yes, gay animals exist as well. All over the world. So much so that books have been written on the subject, documenting all the different species that have been found to be in their own gay relationships. One of the books is called, Biological Exuberance. I took the time to read some of it and it is very interesting.

OOC: Previous post deleted because it was too long and because everyone thought I was trying to God-Mod the RP.

IC: Oskoth continues to lie there bleeding. As Garath approaches him, Daniel stands in the way.

"You just hold on there! How do we know you aren't going to do something to Oskoth?"

"You don't. And I doubt I could say anything to convince you otherwise. However, I am afraid that you have no choice but to let me treat his wounds. I am the only one here with the capabilities to do so."

Garath tries to move around Daniel, but Daniel raises the tip of his sword to Garath's throat. Garath reaches for his knife, but Glen whips out a throwing knife and cautions him.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you. I can throw a knife faster than you can."

The demons start moving towards Glen and Daniel, but Garath waves them back just as the other adventurers raise their weapons and are about to attack.

"STOP!!! No need to defend me. If the fools want to let their friend die, then I will not stop them."

Garath backs up towards the stairs, as do the demons. Daniel bends down to check on Oskoth, as does Glen. Terill speaks up.

"We will treat his wounds. We don't want you anywhere near him. Your words were insightful and logical, but you still make me nervous. And as long as you make me nervous, I consider you a potential threat."

The other adventurers, Rey, Hispalgia, Lok, and Brant, move forward and form a line in front of Glen and Daniel as they work on Oskoth, keeping them safe from any potential attack. They both check their knapsacks and find most of the needed materials for treating his wounds. Terill bends down and checks his pack. With their combined efforts, they manage to remove the crude bolts and patch up Oskoth's wounds. They lie him down on a table with a knapsack under his head for support, as Garath and the demons look on.

I think the guy should be shot or something. This allowance of people to have a more than five-day winning streak is utter crap. It demeans the people who worked so hard to set a record in their five day winning streak, when that was the limit. The previous record holder for the most money won in a five-day period was a blind man. And he was an utter genius. He deserved the record that he earned with his brainpower.

Then the five-day barrier was dropped and this man just waltzes along and answers these questions like they are common knowledge to him. He beats the blind man's record in no time at all and starts breaking other records as well.

This man is becoming an annoyance to many of the people who live where I do and we hope to see him be beaten by a woman. It's a travesty to let him go on to a million. He's a greedy ba$tard and he deserves to lose.

Oskoth lay unconscious beside Glen, where he had lain him down. As far as the adventurers are concerned, Oskoth is worth saving, but is at the moment useless to them.

As he continues to bleed, he slowly slips into a coma. The adventures realize he needs help, but are utterly unable to do anything about it.

OOC: We seem to be having a time discrepancy here in the RP, so Arancaytar has suggested that we make the time for all the characters the same. Therefore, YUC's post occurred in the early morning around the same time as mine. Therefore, it is still dark. Which also makes YUC's scene rather interesting. If everything was lit up by torches that is. Which is very possible. So now, the RP will continue in the early morning with my post. FBM and Tommy, I want you two to post again soon after mine so I am not doing all the action. Same with you Zephyr. You are in Selger in the Tavern inn with them. Sorry for the length, but I want to bring Styx Obsessed Slith?s character back and give him another chance at being in the RP.

IC: Oskoth creeps to the corner of the building and carefully looks around the edge. He only sees the dwarf walking off towards the river, so he carefully follows him from a distance. As he reaches the safety of the shadows of a building, the Dwarf looks back, sensing someone or something is following him. Seeing nothing after standing for a minute or two looking, it turns towards a large, and intact building in front of the river. As he leans forward to look from a better angle, someone puts a hand over his mouth and a dagger at his throat and drags him in through the open door behind him.

A whispering voice speaks to him. One he cannot recognize. The voice is quivering and frightened, but at the same time stern and serious.

"For your own sake, Oskoth, you better not scream or make any noise. One move and you are dead my friend. I don't know if you and the others that came into the village are still human, but I know damn well that those townspeople are not. I have been here for days. Ever since I went ahead on the trail and somehow lost Garath along the way, I have been running from demons and have been trying to avoid these weird townspeople. Now, if I back off, do you promise not to scream or give us away? Because believe me, I can end your life in a millisecond."

Oskoth nods, and the figure releases him and shuts the door. Oskoth turns to the figure, but is unable to see who it is in the darkness. He casts a glow spell on his hands and hears the figure immediately cock something. Oskoth backs up and raises his hands in surrender. He can see in the green glow that the figure is a young man aiming a crossbow at him.

"Please don't fire, I am not going to try anything. I just wanted to see you and give us a safe amount of light. Wh-who are you? And why are you here?"

"Oh, sorry. Precautions you know. I am Glen. Glen Byrel. I came with your adventurer party. We were separated early, so we really do not know each other. Trust me when I say that I am not possessed, but I cannot be sure that you aren't. Unless you can prove to me otherwise, I am not going to put this down."

"Well, if I was, I would have immediately raised an alarm or attacked you here in this dark room. I promise you though, I am not possessed by one of those Shifters."

"Shifters, heh, I thought so. I had my suspicions that Shifters were possessing those people, but I couldn't be sure. Well, that means that it is almost impossible to save them now that they have been infested. And that reminds me. What are you doing following that dwarf through the darkness? You are lucky that he didn't see you."

"I eavesdropped on a group conversation and learned that they are going to send a message to the temple."

"A message? Pertaining to what may I ask, Oskoth?"

"They want to ask their leader about what they should do with the humans staying at the tavern inn. So they decided to send the message with a guard."

"And I suppose this guard would be the one that has been watching over the vault?"

"Yes. They figured that he was expendable and his charge wasn't worth guarding. So I got the news to the others in the tavern and volunteered to go check out the vault."

"Great timing. I was hoping to have a look at it myself as well. I heard them talking about it one day as I lay hiding in a crawlspace under this building. I am curious to discover what the settlers have locked in it. Maybe gold and treasure."

"Same here. I too want to see what lies within, but more or less to find weapons and supplies. And maybe some answers... But what's that!! I hear footsteps approaching! Quick, where's that crawlspace?!!"

Glen directs him to a hole in the floor in a dark corner and he quickly enters it, with Glen directly behind him. They crawl along the ground away from the hole and then lie still. A few seconds later they hear the door open, and steps above them. Oskoth hides his glowing hands in the soft earth and listens intently.

Dwarf: "Now I could have sworn that I saw a faint glow in the window. Hmmmph. Must be my tired eyes again. That blood must have human alcohol in it. Ugh!! Nasty stuff. I don't see how they can drink it. Come on guard, the tavern is this way."

The dwarf leaves the building and shuts the door. Glen and Oskoth wait a few minutes and then make their way back out the hole. Going to a window and looking around, Glen can see the tavern off in the distance and the dwarf and guard in a window conversing with the others.

"Is the coast clear?"

"Yes. Now's our chance. Just hide you hands in your pockets until we get inside the mayor's office. Let's go."

They both creep out of the building and down to the mayor's headquarters. When they get inside, they shut the door and lock it. Glen goes to the windows and closes the shutters so they have privacy.

"Ok. You can take your hands out, we are safe."

"Rats, the spell wore off. I'll have to cast it again."

Oskoth recasts the spell and when his hands start glowing again, they can see their surroundings with clarity. The room is torn apart and papers and maps are scattered everywhere. Tables, desks, and chairs lie in pieces or overturned. As they search the room for the vault door, they literally stumble over it. They find a large metal door situated in the floor in a corner with a strange lock on it.

"Damn!! It has a magical lock on it! Now what do we do?! I am unable to crack these"

"Hold on, I need to think of how the Unlock spell went again. I haven't cast it in years."

"You are a mage, Oskoth?"

"Well, retired wizard actually. I got someone killed and was jailed for it. I vowed to never use my magic again unless the situation called for it. So, I just need to remember my skills again to use them. Hmmmm. Aha! I remember now."

He chants a few words and his hands glow a crimson color. He places them on the hatch and a loud CLINK is heard as the hatch unlocks itself.

"There, its unlocked. Would you like the honors of opening it?"

"I'd love that. Well, here goes nothing."

Glen stands beside it, turns the handle, and pulls up on it to open the door while Oskoth stands in front of it. In the next instant, a crossbow bolt hits Oskoth almost square in the chest, another hits him in the left shoulder, and a third strikes him in the right thigh. From sheer horror and shock, he collapses on the floor in front of the open vault and passes out. Glen grasps what has happened within a few moments and hides behind an overturned table.

As the crimson glow from Oskoth's hands lights the grim scene, some haggard looking people crawl out of the vault and survey the room and Oskoth's unconscious body. Glen's crossbow is on the other side of the room and his only means of defense now is his supply of throwing knives. As he looks on from around the edge of the table, he quickly realizes that these people are more survivors that had probably been hiding in the vault amongst the stored rations and water, where they could survive for a while.

More than likely, they were half, if not completely insane by now. Probably out of sheer terror, they had lashed out in their insanity at Oskoth. Glen decides that he is temporarily safe behind the table, so he sits back and watches the unfolding scene, unsure of what to do.
-----------------------------------

Meanwhile, Garath and the representatives step out of the portal in a building in the center of town, completely unaware of the others in the tavern and them unaware of him.
-----------------------------------

The adventurers come out of a separate portal tear off the main one in the middle of a field just west of the village try to get their bearings as to where they are.

What is it with the idiotic interpretations of Soddom and Gommorrah? Your verse was a piece of crap. Soddom and Gommorrah had nothing to do with homosexuality and I find it disgusting that people still find it so. This whole entire Biblical battle over the sins of those cities comes from the one phrase found in the original texts.

The correct phrase was, "...to know them." The sex translation was another interpretation, which is completely false.

Included below is a link to some info from a site that explains this and corrects this outrageous idea.

Soddom and Gommorrah

If you would all please take the time to read this information, you will understand why such a simple phrase could bring about so much misunderstanding. But to let people go on saying this to others would be a crime and I cannot allow that so I am going to try to get the truth out if I can.

Well, some people, no matter how much scientific proof you throw at them or show them, will never be open to any other ideas. That's what happens when you are brainwashed by with religious ideas from a young age. They almost had me believing that I am evil and a piece of S.H.I.T. because I am gay. But I found other literature that opened my eyes and mind to the truth about what the Church has done throughout the millennia. If you knew what I knew, you would despise the Conservative Christian Church with every fiber of your being like I do.

I might as well put my two cents in here, though I wanted to avoid this topic. But it would be a nice way to bring on my 800th post.

Homosexuality is repulsive to many people simply because they think it is immoral. And why do they think it is immoral? Because the Bible tells them so. What dumb reasoning.

However, here is the truth found by scientists for why the Bible says what it does. At the time that many of the books of the Bible were written, there was a general belief circulating. People believed that they lived on in life as long as they had many children to continue their bloodline. There was also the belief that men had a limited amount of sperm in their bodies, so any deviation from procreation was frowned upon. That included both masturbation and gay sex, as in their eyes both were a waste of sperm. If you want, you can include bestiality in that.

But the thing is, the beliefs and the laws of the culture were shaped to reflect those two ideas. Furthermore, women were not included as long as they bore children. So lesbian sex was not frowned upon because females did not carry the sperm.

The Leviticus laws are a set of Purification and Holiness codes, most of which are not applicable to today. And yet, certain ones like the gay sex one are still accepted today. And then there are the ideas that Paul referred to. Unfortunately, these were misinterpreted and their meaning was lost until scientists and historians researched the original texts. Turns out that what Paul was referring to was not gay sex in general, but gay sex used in pagan temple worship and gay prostitution. This can be discovered when reading the verses around the indicated ones. They show each time in Paul's letters that when he was talking about gay sex, idolatry and pagan ritual worship ideas could be found one verse or two just before that, making a direct connection between them. Thereby proving that gay sex in general was not the intent of Paul.

Another thing that many people don't know is that gay marriages were legal in Europe up until the Church changed the Bible in the 12th and 13th centuries. Historical research has discovered gay marriages between male saints, the public, and even among early monarchs and aristocracy. The Church decided that they didn't like the ill use of their so-called perfect Bible and so they outlawed gay marriages.

It's sad that what they did so long ago still affects people like me today. I have a boyfriend and we are very very deeply in love. What's more, we are both liberal Christians and cannot make a holy commitment to each other because of the influence that one single book had on the world.

I prefer to look upon homosexuality in the way that Native Americans do. They see it as a gift from God that should be cherished and embraced by all people because they see it as perfectly natural. They even consider homosexuality to be a unique challenge for those that it is bestowed upon.

OOC: Ok, I have some discrepancies to clear up in the RP and I will try to here in my post to the best of my ability. Please try to follow my reasoning. I will make it as clear as I can. Oh, and Mordrith, I decided to go and use your idea you told me about. It intrigued me here and influenced my post. Sorry ahead of time for the long post, but I am trying to make it clear to everyone what is going on in the RP so it can start up again.

IC: Oskoth lies in his bed thinking. Despite it being dark now with the red moon out, he refuses to go to sleep because something about the townspeople is bothering him. They seem... A little too friendly... A little too lucky to have survived. According to the king, the dying courier had said that the people were going to make for the ruined temple on Mount Thunder, never knowing what might lie before them. So why did they change their minds suddenly and head to the swamps? Of all the good sensible places to go, why did they choose to go to a swamp? With all the diseases and serpents and dangerous water creatures, and quicksand beds... What would have driven them to go there? He continues in this train of thought for some time, until he begins hearing laced voices coming from the bar room below him.

Curious, he sneaks down to listen in the shadows. He squats in a shadowy nook beside a bookshelf and listens. As he watches the small group of townspeople situated around a table, he can see and hear them arguing bitterly in the glow of the candles in the chandelier above them. He can see the children too, sitting amongst them, but as he listens to them closely, he soon realizes that they are not children after all, but in fact, dwarfed people.

This makes more sense to Oskoth, as this village was to be little more than a settler group. Bringing children to a settlement designed to do nothing more than prepare the valley for future colonization in a potentially hostile wilderness was foolhardy, and the king would have known that. The dangers to the mothers and children would have been paramount. No, these are all grown adults here before him. In all likelihood, the king would have sent explorers, good farmers, miners, architects, mages, priests, and other such people to establish Selger. He comes away from his thoughts and turns his attention to the entire group as a whole. What he hears both shocks and terrifies him.

Man 1: "Shhh. Quiet. We don't want the human to hear us. And speaking of that, let's turn our attention to the pathetic human creatures in our midst. The portal topic can wait until later."

Man 2: "Yes, how should we get rid of them? Should we kill them in their sleep or poison them or what?"

Woman 1: "I say we should ask Asher Ah Ehsran. He'll know what to do with them. He always has the answers."

Oskoth thinks to himself who this Asher Ah Ehsran might be. Having no idea, he quickly goes back to listening.

Woman 1: "?but we need to get in contact with him quickly, before they suspect us of anything. Any suggestions, fellow shifters?"

Oskoth gets confused. "Shifters? But they are creatures of myth. I thought they didn't exist. Demonic creatures that can infect a human and use their body like a host, speaking through it. Hmmm. If I recall correctly, they don?t possess the ability to absorb the host?s knowledge, which in our case is a good thing." He goes back to listening.

Dwarf 1: "Well, overland travel by our beasts would be fast, but not fast enough. I suggest that we use the portal and send someone through to the representatives at the temple. That's as direct a communication as we are getting to find."

Man 1: "That sounds like a good idea. It would be quick and effective and the portal will be up until that Garoth or Goarth or whatever he is called comes through. That said, whom should we send through? One of us?"

This statement stops Oskoth dead in his train of thought. He had left the bunker, with Daniel trailing him secretly before anything major had happened, and thus missed whatever must have happened with Garath. He begins thinking to himself again. "So, Garath is a traitor. It will be interesting to see what will become of him. I wonder what other events I have missed in my absence from the group...? Oskoth goes back to listening to them.

Woman 2: "...no, no. What if one of us was to meet with trouble at the ruined temple? We were placed here specifically to take over the bodies of the townspeople and use them to our advantage. We can't afford to lose any of them."

Dwarf 2: "Then I suggest we send through one of our guards. They are all trustworthy and yet expendable at the same time should something go wrong. All they do is watch the perimeter at night and they can easily be replaced. However, if any should go, I think the one at that vault in the headquarters building should. All that's in there is a bunch of official papers and maps and odds and ends that the sleazy humans left behind from the explorations of this soon to be demonic valley. He is doing a pointless job there."

Oskoth notes where the vault is located and continues listening.

Man 3: "Good point. He is a likely candidate for our message. We'll send for him in a minute or two. Now, as for the portal again..."

Man 1: "Yes, the portal. We had left off with what the plans were."

Man 4: "Right. The representative courier told me that that Garth person or whoever he is, was to come through the portal with a mage he had captured here to Selger. From there, they will head back to the demon cave so that the mage can help Asher Ah Ehsran activate the stone, whether it be by force or willingly. The two of them and a whole army of demons are camped outside of the temple at the moment because the representatives don't trust this Garth and won't let him enter the ruined temple. They refuse to let him in. I wouldn't either because he is a human."

Dwarf 3: "A human?! Why in the netherworld would the lord trust him?"

Woman 1: "I was told that he sold his soul to him or something like that. Asher Ah Ehsran has some sort of hold over him."

Man 2: "Well, I bet they found that amusing in the Bunker..."

Dwarf 1: "The Bunker?"

Woman 2: "Yeah. The courier said that Grath was amongst the adventurer party when they entered the valley. He went with them to the bunker after the Selger general, uh... That weird military man set up those traps to lure them there. Him and that priest that got away from us in the courier group."

Woman 1: "Yes, he'll be caught soon enough. Him and that other survivor that got away from our sentries at the ruined temple. We'll get all those weak humans soon!"

Man 2: "Yes, and about that tunnel... We used one of the humans to show us where one of the escape shafts was. Then we threw his screaming body into the river and watched the fool drown. Then our army snuck up right under and around them and attacked them after Grith or whatever exposed his true self and our representatives teleported him away from the bunker."

Dwarf 2: "So it still remains... What should we do about the humans in our midst until we send a messenger?"

Man 1: "Well, the smartest thing to do now is act innocent and like we are glad to see them. They will suspect nothing and will be our slaves in no time. Now, which one of us will go get the guard and bring him here?"

Dwarf 1: "I will go. In the meantime, you better check on the portal's stability."

Man 3: "Alright. Let's move fellow shifters."

The group breaks up and Oskoth starts to sneak back upstairs. Without warning though, one of the steps creaks under him and the shifters all stop dead in their tracks.

Woman 1: "What was that?!"

Man 2: "I don't know. Sounded like it came from inside the tavern."

Dwarf 1: "Oh, sorry about that. This one floorboard is loose here. I must have stepped on it. See, it creaks loudly."

Woman 1: "Phew! You had me worried there for a minute."

Dwarf 1: "Give me a few minutes to prepare. I need a drink first before I go out. I'm dead thirsty. Anymore of that distilled blood left from the humans that resisted?"

Man 3: "I think so. Ah. Here is some. It's nice and warm."

Dwarf: "Oooooh. It's still good."

Oskoth sneaks back upstairs after this and tells Daniel, Terril, and the others. They talk it over for a few minutes and Oskoth volunteers to go out and follow the dwarf to the vault. He sneaks downstairs again and sees the dwarf just stepping out the front door. Oskoth stealthily makes his way out the back door unseen.

OOC: If I got anything wrong, let me know and I will adjust it. And FZ, I wasn't trying to make fun of your character. These people just never met him and just can't remember the name right.

OOC: I wanted to describe the town first, but I think you did it perfectly FBM. You covered what I wanted to. I am not going to be a part of the child thing though. I have my own idea.

IC: After Daniel and Oskoth finish with their short rest, they leave the secret cave with the scroll jars in the knapsack and Oskoth using the staff as a cane and start their long journey to Selger. The tunnel soon proves to be a very windy one, with lots of curves. One hour into their trek, they come across a section of the tunnel that has another shaft leading up towards the surface. To their surprise, the hatch at the top seems to be missing. Upon checking where this route leads, they discover that they are on the edge of Thunder River, right next to a very large wood and stone bridge. Looking back at the forest, they can see a large cloud of smoke and some visible flames.

"Oskoth, the forest is on fire!!! Shouldn't we go back and help!?"

"No need to. According to the map we have of this valley, each section of forest is like an island. The roads act like barriers, as do the rivers. It may jump over a road onto another section, but it will eventually burn itself out from lack of fuel. Anyway, we didn't come this far to have to turn back again." (Looking back at the tunnel) "Say... Look at this. The hatch was wrenched right off its hinges." (Looks around in grass) "Here it is. It definitely was ripped off. Moreover, it?s all clawed up on both sides. I am willing to bet that the demons found this hatch and entered the tunnel from here."

"That's perfectly plausible to me." (Sees the bridge again) "Hey, we have the bridge. And I can see Selger down in the valley a few miles away. Should we try the roads again?"

"I would rather not. It would be safer to get there through the tunnel. By the way, did you see how the main tunnel branched off into narrower tunnels in some places? Ones that had no support beams?"

"Yeah, I noticed that. I think they lead to uncharted areas. I saw crude signs sketched on the walls by those tunnels. I recognized the symbols on them as ones meaning, "Unexplored." Perhaps they lead off to the other ruins. Who knows?"

"Yeah, that would be interesting. But enough chatter. It's getting towards the late part of the afternoon. Let's get moving again."

They go back down in the tunnel and walk on for another two hours before they come across a reinforced stone stairway with a steel guide rail going up to the surface. Finding this to be similar to the one that led away from the bunker, they go up to investigate where it surfaces. When they reach the top of the steps, they come across a shut hatch, which they are glad, yet unnerved to see. Glad that it is undisturbed, yet fearful of what may be on the other side. They ready their weapons and carefully open the hatch as quietly as they can.

They find themselves staring at a stone wall when they exit the tunnel. Looking around, they see that the hatch is situated at the base of a large and very old tree, between two humongous roots. As they can see the river from where they are, they soon realize that they are outside the barricade. They walk left along the section of wall, which is battered, but amazingly still intact on this side and soon come across the southern gate. The portcullis is down, but a section of the bars have been torn away. They keep their weapons drawn as they enter the village.

The village is absolutely still and no sound can be heard. There are many many buildings in this small village, but the majority of them are crude wooden lodges, and most of them are damaged or destroyed. A few buildings remain untouched, however, and the back door of one of them seems to invite them for some unknown reason. They head to it and find it to be unlocked. Upon entering, they realize that they are in a tavern and head to the bar in search of something to drink.

Might as well get my two cents in.

OOC: Your character is approved, Omlette.

Sorry for the length of this post.

IC: It takes Daniel a good 15 minutes or so, but he finally succeeds in digging Oskoth out of the rubble. Despite the tons of dirt and rocks that were on him, he appears to be none worse for wear. However, Oskoth has drifted back into unconsciousness, and Daniel takes this time to check him out for any wounds or broken bones. After five minutes, all he can find are scratches, bruises, and minor cuts. Then he comes across Oskoth's leg.

"Uh oh, this isn't good. His leg is swollen up slightly. He must have cracked a bone. I need to get him to Selger quickly. But how can I do that?"

Almost as if on cue, Oskoth starts to stir. Daniel notices this and tries to wake him up. He succeeds in reviving him and the memory of the incident comes back to Oskoth slowly, but steadily.

"Thanks for saving my life. I owe you one."

"Don't mention it. I never leave a man behi... What is that?!"

"What? What do you see? My vision is still blurry."

"Remember when you said that this tunnel was made from an old cave system and there are most likely other caves around it that lie undiscovered?"

"Yeah. I remember..."

"Well, I think we just found one."

Despite the pain in his leg, Oskoth quickly gets up and looks at where Daniel is looking. Sure enough, he sees that the collapse of the wall has revealed an opening to a cave. Looking closer with a magical torch, they see something unusual.

"Oskoth, am I seeing things, or is that brick and mortar lying on the floor?"

"Your hunch is correct. It is brick and mortar. Apparently, this cave entrance was sealed. I wonder why. Shall we investigate it?"

"Sounds good to me. I like surprises."

After removing extra debris from the opening and entering, they find that they are in a complex cave system. The ceiling is ten feet above them, the walls at least 20 feet apart in any direction, and the cave itself branches off into several sub-caves. There is a pool of water in the center of the floor, with a small waterfall trickling down from above. Thoroughly awed, Daniel is the first to speak.

"Wow, quite beautiful. I wonder why it was bricked up."

"I find it rather eerie. Still, I'm willing to bet that our late settlers did not create our tunnel out there. They probably discovered it and just modified it to make it safer for themselves. Hello... What's this in the corner here?"

Oskoth tries to bend down to pick up some clay jars in a crevice in a corner, but his leg flares in pain and stops him.

"OW!!! Daniel, you will need to pick them up. I can't bend down to get them because of my leg."

Whilst Daniel gets them out of the crevice, Oskoth sits down on a throne like depression in the rock and tends to his leg.

"Well, there aren't many of them. I only found five. Here they are."

Oskoth looks them over and then shakes one.

"Oh, it appears there is something in them. Let's see what it is..."

Oskoth removes the mud plug from the top and, with the magic torchlight, peers inside. Reaching in, he pulls out a Vellum scroll.

"A scroll!!!"

He unravels it and looks at it. He then gets an annoyed look on his face and then carefully slips it back in the jar and replaces the plug.

"What's wrong? Is it too worn to read?"

"No, it's in a language I don't recognize. Perhaps Sylvain can decipher it for us. Or maybe that mage, Eferas. Hmmm. They may be nothing at all. But if they aren't, then why would whoever put them here go through all the trouble of concealing them. Well, we will find that out soon enough. We had better keep on moving. We can put the jars in my knapsack."

?It's out there in the tunnel, I'll go get it."

Daniel goes out and retrieves the knapsack. However, as he comes back in again, he spots something lying in a crevice in one of the walls.

"Hey, what's that thing?"

Oskoth looks to where he is pointing. Unable to make it out, he gets up, hands Daniel the jars, and then goes around the pool to the object and picks it up.

"Why, it's a wooden staff. Kind of an odd place to leave a staff. It seems to be undamaged, despite being in this damp environment. I'll use it for now to lean on." (Seeing something odd) "Hmmm. I wonder what this hole in the handle end is for. It looks almost as if something was once attached to it." (Looks around in the crevice.) "Well, whatever was attached to it isn't there anymore. Oh well, at least I have a walking stick now."

"Ok, the jars are packed away. I feel we have a long walk ahead of us. We better get going."

"I agree, but first..."

Oskoth gets down and casts a spell on the water. It glows a blue color for a few moments and returns back to normal.

"The water is safe to drink. I suggest that we rest for at least fifteen minutes and eat some of the rations I have in my knapsack. Oh, and just in case..."

Oskoth goes to the opening and casts a ward spell on it.

"I have placed a ward on that doorway. Do not try to go out unless I deactivate it first. Otherwise you will get a nasty surprise from it."

They both sit down and commence with their needed rest.

IC: Oskoth manages to find the first hatch by the river and ironically, he finds that Akhtar is nowhere in sight.

Oskoth: "Damn, I wonder where he went..."

Oskoth then hears a huge explosion coming from the direction of the bunker.

Oskoth: "That definitely can't be good. I hope they are all right. If any of those people in the bunker have any sense, they will follow me eventually in the tunnels."

He then hears horrific screams coming from the direction of the Bunker. Unbeknownst to him, the demon horde had passed right under him while he had been in the hatch opening, and they were coming out of the trap door in the bunker. Unaware that this has happened, Oskoth goes back down into the tunnel. When he turns to walk towards Selger, he sees something hiding in the shadows.

Oskoth: "Now I wonder what that is."

He sees it move and gets nervous. He quickly casts a light spell in the tunnel and sees the figure of Daniel cowering from it.

Oskoth: "What the hell are you doing down here?"

Daniel: "I?m sorry. I was following you. I just wanted to get away from the bunker. Did you realize that a group of demons passed right under us while we...uh...you were up there looking through the hatch?"

Oskoth: "What demons?"

Daniel: "You remember those horrific screams? Those were the other adventurers running out of the bunker away from the demons. I heard them passing under us. I was ten feet below you on the ladder."

Oskoth: "By the gods, how did they manage to get in the tunnel?"

Daniel: "They probably found the trap door on the other end... Uh, what's that noise?"

The two of them hear a series of growling sounds coming from the direction of the bunker.

Daniel: "Uh oh. Apparently, not all of them went out through the Bunker end. We better make a run for it up and out of the emergency hatch!!"

Oskoth: "Never mind the shaft! We don't have time! Make a run for Selger! I will try to hold them off here!"

Daniel: (Visibly stunned and shaken) "With what?!!! A sword and some stones?!! You can't fend them off with that!!!"

Oskoth: "Sylvain told me that this tunnel was hewn out of a natural cave system and that the walls are extremely solid. However, that isn't true. In a cave system, many of the walls may look solid, but they are made mostly of limestone. A very soft rock. Not only that but they are perforated with holes and other undiscovered caves. Sylvain said it would take a hell of a lot of magic to bring down the support beams and cave in any given section of the it..."

Daniel: "Yeah, and..."

Oskoth: "And I happen to have a hell of a lot of magic. I don't like showing off my skill because I killed someone by accident once and was jailed for it. I vowed I would never use magic and get anyone killed again. However, it only takes an emergency to bring those skills back. And... For Pete's sake!!! Get out of here now!!!"

Daniel gives Oskoth a salute and takes a second magical torch that Oskoth hurriedly made for him. Oskoth sticks his torch in a crevice and starts concentrating hard. Suddenly he starts hearing the growls off in the distance in front of him drawing closer.

Oskoth: "By the gods, there must be dozens of them. I better work fast."

He conjures up a Firestorm spell and throws it down the tunnel. It suddenly impacts on something in midair and he hears a horrific screech. In the flames, he can see several demons running around on fire in agony. As the flames begin to die down, he can see over a dozen demons headed for him. He concentrates again and begins chanting. He thinks of a powerful spell that a wizard once taught him and the words come alive with an eerie echo in the tunnel. The Shockwave spell, he figures, will deal a good amount of damage to the demons, and help start to collapse the tunnel.

Oskoth: "Exfelia aldonte sur kel tormente!!!!"

He then hits the cave walls with his open hands and a blue pulse is sent out down the tunnel in either direction. Luckily for Daniel, he has just stepped out of range and the pulse stops just behind him. Nevertheless, all the support beams are cracked in the process and the demons caught in the pulse are ravaged by it. Several of the demons fall and lie writhing on the ground, while others are unharmed and simply walk over the bodies of the fallen ones.

Oskoth begins to feel light-headed, but his work isn't finished. He tries for one last spell he learned from a mining mage. He starts chanting the words to the Shatter spell, and knows that he might not be able to escape its wrath in time to save himself. But at least Daniel would survive to get to Selger. Daniel turns around and watches Oskoth off in the distance. He recognizes the spell from the chanting and yells to Oskoth.

Daniel: "Are you nuts, Oskoth, you are going to cave the tunnel in!!!"

Oskoth shoots him a smug look and he thinks to himself.

Daniel: "Oh, god! That's what he wants to do!!!" (Back to Oskoth) "Get out of there you fool!! It's not worth the risk!!"

Oskoth ignores him and finishes the chanting.

Oskoth: "Kallimar triskovey exferes!!!!"

He drives his hands into the cave floor just as a group of the demons comes within ten feet of him. A shockwave of energy is sent out through the ground and walls and the support beams for 75 feet in both direction shatter. The demons are thrown to the ground and Daniel runs to escape the shockwave approaching him. The cave ceiling above the demons is the first to start collapsing. Oskoth sees his opportunity in the demons' confusion and takes off running towards Daniel.

The demons try to follow, but the ceiling above them collapses and they are instantly crushed under tons of rock. The cave ceiling starts collapsing a few feet behind Oskoth and a section in front of him. He dives through it and a boulder hits his leg, and it cracks a bone. Oskoth gets up through the pain and keeps on hobbling along down the tunnel, avoiding rocks falling here and there from shattered sections of ceiling.

As he reaches the edge of the collapsing part of tunnel, a section of wall gives way and he is buried underneath it. Before disappearing from consciousness, Oskoth calls out.

Oskoth: "Daniel!!! Help!! AHHHHHHH....."

OOC: No, he isn't dead. He is buried in the rubble with his head and one arm sticking out on the ground, with his back up against an intact section of cave wall. The rest of him is buried.

IC: Above ground, the adventurers are sandwiched in between a group of demons. Unexpectedly the ground begins to shake from a mild tremor. Then all is quiet. The demons begin to advance further towards them and a second, immensely violent tremor shakes the earth. Suddenly the ground that the group of demons behind them is standing on collapses underneath them. They disappear into a long straight sinkhole that extends towards the bunker and horrific screeching is heard from the dying demons.

Chadussid: "What the hell just happened?!!"

Sylvain: "The tunnel, someone has blown it up and collapsed a section of it. But who?"

Eferas: "I can think of only one person we no longer have with us... Oskoth."

Chadussid: "That weak little nitwit? Since when was he a mage?"

Eferas: "He confessed it to me. It's something from his hidden past."

Chadussid: "Great, another mage to worry about."

Sylvain: "No, mage can't be right. No ordinary mage can cast a Shatter spell. He has to be a wizard."

Chadussid: "Who cares? If he ever gets possessed, he will become a very powerful enemy either way. Now let's concentrate on this other group of demons. We can thank Oskoth later for getting rid of the ones behind us."

Oskoth decides to himself that he stands a better chance of surviving and being listened to if he were to work with Raymond, Dave, Eferas, and Sylvain.

He goes over to where Raymond is, but he is already falling asleep, so he lets him alone. Eferas wears the mark of a bad mood on his face, so he passes him by as well. Dave has fallen asleep as well, and deserves it because of his ordeal, so Oskoth moves on towards Sylvain. He finds Garath crouched over him with something in his hands.

Just as Oskoth figures out what it is, Garath turns around and points the Demonslayer at him.

Garath: "Keep back, or I won't hesitate to use this!!!"

Oskoth: "Put the sword down, Garath. We have enough problems without you causing more."

Oskoth tries to move around Garath to get to Sylvain, but Garath takes it as a threat and thrusts the sword at Oskoth. Oskoth narrowly parries it and realizes that he has to put him down before anyone gets hurt.

Oskoth: "Oh no you don't!!"

He grabs the arm that Garath is holding the sword in and twists it behind his back. Garath cries out in pain as his arm is bent nearly to the breaking point. Oskoth quickly removes the sword from Garath's now quivering hand and tosses it to Kenthred, who reflexively catches it. He grabs Garath's other arm and does the same with it. Eferas hurries back to help when he hears the scuffle and with a piece of rope, they tie Garath's hands securely behind him. Chadussid comes over to find out what the entire ruckus was about.

Chadussid: "What the hell is going on here?!!"

Oskoth: "It appears that Garath here somehow got a hold of the Demonslayer and was threatening Sylvain with it."

Chadussid: "Why should that concern me? It would be one less risk to worry about. You should have left Garath kill him."

Oskoth: "Don't you ever give it a rest? If Sylvain dies, his knowledge of the valley and its dangers goes with him. We can't afford to lose that extra knowledge. Not to mention he knows where all the traps are."

Chadussid: "True, but he is still a security risk. However, now that you brought it up, we will have to assess from him where the other traps are so that we can avoid them."

Daniel: (Walking up to them) "Uh, if you don't mind... Oskoth and I were busy mapping out some of those traps. If you want, we can give Sylvain the map to plot out the rest of them."

Chadussid: "Very well. You do that. But for the moment we need to speak with our new prisoner about his conduct in the group."

With that, they drag a kicking Garath off to a dark corner to interrogate him. Oskoth takes the opportunity to speak to Sylvain.

Oskoth: "Are you alright? He didn't injure you did he?"

Sylvain: "No, but he somehow drained all my power from me and I couldn't fight him off. It was almost as if he had me in a trance."

Oskoth: "He has an nullity field around him at all times. He doesn't believe in magic and it somehow nulls all magical items and people around him."

Sylvain: "Ah. I see now. But why did he want to know about the temple I wonder... Especially the seals..."

Oskoth: "What seals do you speak of?"

Sylvain: "Uh.... Nothing. I was talking aloud to myself. It's not important."

Oskoth: (Starts whispering) "Oh. Well, I have an idea. Now that Chadussid and Kenthred are distracted, I am going to sneak off down the tunnel. I hope to make it to Selger by morning. Is there anything unusual about the tunnel that I should know about?"

Sylvain: "No, not that I can think of. I was only through it once completely. It's a well-constructed tunnel from what I saw. Built similar to some of the mines I had been in during my younger days. This talk of collapse is preposterous. With all the support beams in that tunnel, it being as deep underground as it is, and the way it is made from thick, solid rock, it would take one hell of a magical blast to destroy it. I was told that it was modified from a natural cave system. That's about all that I can... Wait a minute. I remember that a series of escape hatches were built along its length. In the unlikely event that any part of it were to collapse, escape could be made through one of those. I can only remember a few of them though. One was on the edge of the woods by the river bank."

Oskoth: "Very good. That reminds me, if Akhtar is down by the river with Hispar, I can probably get to him from that one hatch. Is there any chance that any of the hatches could have been discovered by the demons?"

Sylvain: "I doubt it. Each hatch is hidden perfectly by undergrowth and debris. I helped in their construction. No creature, not even humans or demons could find them from the surface without powerful scrying. And even then, they are hard to pinpoint. This valley has a lot of natural caves in it."

Oskoth: "Okay. I want you to get Dave, Eferas, and Raymond down there as soon as possible, as well as yourself. The arguing here is going to go on forever unless we act for ourselves."

Sylvain: "Very well, I will try my best."

Oskoth: "Until we meet again."

Oskoth grabs his things and tells Eferas of his intention to use the tunnel. Eferas agrees to cover for him and Oskoth slips away, unseen by both Chadussid and Kenthred, who are too busy yelling at Garath. The tunnel is dark, but Oskoth ignores it. He closes the hatch and slowly makes his way down a series of rock-hewn steps for at least thirty or forty feet. He then deems the distance from the bunker safe for creating light and makes himself a magical torch. The tunnel is indeed, well made. It's easy to see how parts of it were hewn out of a natural cave system. He looks down at the steps before him, which seem to stretch down into an endless abyss of darkness.

Daniel: "Again with this demon crap?! Does it ever stop?!" Hmmmph!"

Oskoth: "Yeah, I know. It's beginning to get rather annoying now, Daniel. Don't you ever stop worrying, Chadussid? Oh, yeah, that's right... You have to sleep sometime. You can't be so crazy when you are unconscious or do you do that in your dreams too?"

Chadussid turns around with a violent start and quickly walks towards him. He suddenly pulls out a knife and puts it to Oskoth's throat.

Chadussid: "You shut your filthy mouth and listen to me! I have no misgivings about killing you or anyone else here that I might conceive poses a threat to the rest of us. I am doing my best to keep us safe and you all just barge in here with a bunch of possible biohazards to rest of us. I should kill you all for just bothering to come back at all. Once you leave this bunker, you are designated as an instant health risk to the rest of us. As far as I am concerned, you can go and kill yourself once you leave here again... The next time you try to pull a stunt like this, I will kill you personally if you try to come back again."

(Pulls away from Oskoth and looks around at everyone else) "That goes for all of you! As far as I am concerned, you are all expendable! You either stay together with me or you die apart!"

With that, he turns and starts walking back to the doorway. Oskoth's anger finally reaches its breaking point and he can't hold back any longer. He runs at Chadussid, who turns around at the sudden sound of footsteps. Oskoth jumps at him and knocks him to the ground.

OOC: Whatever. Then Eferas is just meeting us as he is leaving for a scouting mission that I hope never takes place. I want no part in going to a temple full of demons. This will be reflected in my next IC.

I swear, I must be one of the only people around here that doesn't ever make multiple accounts. I have this one and I plan to keep it for a long time. Why do you people make multiple accounts in the first place?

OOC: Even I could tell that Zephyr was holding his own sword. Give him a chance to learn in the RPs instead of putting him down all the time. And for Pete's sake, try to read the posts right people. I swear, one fifth of this RP is nothing but arguments resulting from misinterpreted posts.

My character and Daniel's are still not near the others yet. We are waiting on Arancaytar to post and bring us in.

As far as I am concerned, that post of Your Unborn Child's doesn't exist because it came as a result of misinterpretation.

OOC: Ok, first of all SIS, I do not have a new home yet. I simply said I was shopping for stuff for my future home. I still live with my parents.

Second, I will try to interpret a scene from what I have read so far. SIS, your info to Tommy confused me. I hope I am doing this right.

Third, I am Sherlock Holmes, Warslith. I used to be Murder, She Wrote...hence the MSW.

Fourth, I was too confused lately and had no idea what to post, so that's why I have been so silent.

IC: Daniel and Oskoth reach the edge of the clearing and one of the guards notices the approaching footsteps.

Eferas: "Halt right there!!! Whoever or whatever you are!!! I'll blast you to the hereafter if you don't identify yourselves right away!!!"

Oskoth: "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Now, Eferas...no need to be hasty. It's me and Daniel."

Eferas: "It could be you. But how do I know that you aren't possessed by demons?"

Daniel: "You're kidding right? That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard."

Oskoth: (Turning to Daniel) "Now wait, he's right. Who's to say that we aren't demons trying to infiltrate the bunker?"

Daniel: "Don't you start too!!"

Oskoth: "Now wait, I'm not finished, Daniel." (Turns to Eferas again) "Eferas, I can assure you that we are not possessed. And if you don't let us in, I will cast a strong light spell and let every demon within five miles see where we are. When I said I only had weak and meager magic skills... I lied."
