Just for future note...I would prefer that people PM me with their characters, not post them for all to see. Leave that up to when the RP starts.

Andrea, your character is approved.

Custer, I will approve your character, but be warned. This is an RP happening in a Middle Ages sort of time. No special weapons that you wouldn't find available at that time. And also, this is a kingdom ruled by a king. They would have a government of a sort, but they would never call it that in this world. Here, it?s called a mutual anarchy, as there are two kings ruling on two continents over land they both share.

Plus, try not to bring espionage into this RP. Spies would exist, but as the continent is peaceful, they really would not be as advanced as James Bond or the FBI.

There will be no demon characters. Group discussion has halted that idea. And survivors will probably be out of the question as well because they will make things more complicated. Sorry. All humans or dwarfs if need be.

And I would recommend getting your character approved of first. It will help the RP go more smoothly when it gets started.

Incredibly Sad had some questions about the RP that I will answer here.

- It seems Cartouche has no control over Jenarva, is it so?

That is somewhat correct. Cartouche hadn't the manpower or the ability to control it at first. However, when King Jenarva took over, he ruled in the name of Cartouche. However, he is the king, so he has his own power. People are allowed to come and go between the two continents by boat if they wish.

- Efreet: Do you use the traditional creature?

Yes. It is the same as the creature found in Exile 3.

- Is Xelvia settled, even sparsely, before the mountains?
- From what I understood Xelvia and Jenarva are connected in the same way Europe and Asia are, is it so?

Tall snow-capped mountains separate Xelvia and Jenarva. They are how the people distinguish the two continents from each other. Xelvia was explored minutely when the first expeditions were sent out from Cartouche. However, no one lives anywhere in the continent of Xelvia today, except for the newly established colony. Only Jenarva is settled. Despite the fact that ruins were discovered in both Jenarva and Xelvia, no evidence of anyone still living in Xelvia has ever been found.

- I suppose the settlers were sent with food stocks and seeds to make them as self-sufficient as possible. Most of the crops used today are edible in summer but need to be seeded in early September. Seven months, a week, and twice the time to travel there would make it spring. It is a closed valley, cumulonimbus usually go from 300m to 17000 depending on the latitude, so the weather would be not too warm, sunny, and a bit humid. Is it so? If not just say what kind of weather should be expected.

The Valley of Thunder is basically as you say. It's very similar to that of Florida and California where food can be grown year round. It did not take more than two weeks to travel to the Valley of Thunder. It is not as far a journey as you think. It only seems that way because Xelvia is a large continent. As for the latitude, it is close to sea level, and comfortably warm. The valley would have a Mediterranean climate. There is also a single mountain pass that goes between the two continents, but it is seldom used and rather rugged.

- How different are priest and mage orders?

I'm not quite sure what that means, but the priests and mages in my RP are similar to what you would find in Exile.

- Is there any desert?

There is a single very small desert area on Jenarva and two small areas in Xelvia, but neither is located in the Valley of Thunder.

Two or three people have asked me to approve their character in advance. You can ask, but you don't really need to. Nonetheless, it might be a good idea to do so to avoid conflict in the RP.

I am also waiting to discuss the possibility of extra character roles with Drakefyre, Omlette, and Arancaytar. Premonition gave her opinion that they really aren't needed, and a rescue party of humans would be best. Now I have to wait to talk to the others.

And then there's the map of course. But I have been unable to talk to Arancaytar for days. He hasn't come online and I don't know if he received my email.

Yes, that's what I meant. Unlike the Exile games, my created world has no other types of humanoid creatures. Just humans, and beyond that, no mutating humans either. Sorry. I am being very strict about this RP to make sure it exists without insults being thrown around because of people's characters being silly or unreasonable.

You could always be a human with chaotic rage like my Schostas character was. That's where injury and pain become nulled when in the rage. The character fights like a mad man and only feels the pain after calming down. However, that doesn't make him able to kill everything in his path. He has definite limits and can be killed. And it takes certain things to trigger that rage, as it does not just happen on its own.

A character with chaotic rage I will allow, but no mutating characters. If you practice with a normal character now, perhaps you will get better at it. I know I did. Besides, I am planning a Lord of the Rings type of RP for in the future.

You could always be a dwarf though, like in the Lord of the Rings movie. They would exist in the world this RP takes place on. Just don't make him someone with a boomerang battle-axe. An ordinary battle-axe will do. But no elves though...I'll save that for the Lord of the Rings type of RP.

My fault, I should have explained the other facts about the RP. It takes place at a Medievil sort of time. So no guns and no cannons.

Also, it will be an RP consisting of only humans. So no creatures. Unless someone of course would like to be the Demon. And I'm sorry Zephyr, no offense to you, but I want somone more experienced to be the Demon leader. If in fact we choose to have anyone play that character at all. And perhaps survivors of the colony will be up for grabs as well. I will talk it over with Arancaytar, Premonition, Omlette, and Drakefyre as to whether or not I should have them available as character roles.

Well, my RP story is done now. I have to wait for Arancaytar to make the map, which may take a few days, as he needs to read the email first. I told him I would do it, but when I tried, I was so stressed out from indecision that I wanted to rip my hair out.

I have given a few people sneak previews of my RP to see if they thought it was any good, and I have gotten good reviews so far from Omlette, Drakefyre, Arancaytar, and Premonition. IMAGE(cool0000.gif) I must give credit to Premonition and Arancaytar for providing editing and additional ideas for this RP, and giving plenty of moral support. IMAGE(smile000.gif) If anyone would like to see the finished RP ahead of time to prepare a character or just to decide whether or not they want to be in it, PM me and I will email or PM it to you.

And I want to make it clear right now. There will be absolutely NO god-modding in this RP. I did it in RPs in the past when I first started and I am quite sorry for ruining them. I have learned from those mistakes since then. I found out what it was like to have people tearing an RP apart through god-modding when it happened to my Tumbleweed RP. I refuse to let that happen again. And to keep it from happening I am asking the moderators to help monitor it.

If you want to be in this RP, the rules will be followed this time.

Can I possibly get a copy of all the RPs I was in starting with Zombie Attack and Around the Universe In However Long It Takes? I have them, but since I had no idea how to save in HTML, mine are all in text.

The RPs should be the two mentioned above, Fall of the Star Clan, The Greywraith Clan, Tumbleweed RP, Around the Universe and Back In Time For Tea, Defending the Tavern Front, Zombie Attack 2, and Serendipity RP.

Thanks.

I have played all of the Exile series, except for Blades of Exile, but that's all. I didn't grow up playing games a lot like many of the people here. I didn't even have the internet until June of last year, so computer games more difficult than the Exile series are too hard for me to comprehend.

I made an attempt to try the Avernum series and didn't make it past the party creating screen because I got too confused. I'm just not into games like I used to be. You can't hold that against me.

I told Sir David, but he kind of discouraged me. I came up with it off the top of my head, and he told me it sounded very similar to the Geneforge plot.

What bugs me is the fact that I never played Geneforge and already the plot idea has been taken. Further more, I never played any of the Avernum games either, so if any of my ideas sound similar, it is pure coincidence.

I was considering a rescue party/investigating expedition type of RP in a place I created in my mind. The main plot is that an overcrowded country sends out a group of people to make a colony in an adjoining continent deemed ideal for settlement. The potential area is called the Valley of Thunder from the rumbling heard there by countless expeditions that have passed through it mapping the territory.

The colony group disappears without warning and the only one left to tell the tale is a single young man who was working among a group of couriers between the first continent and the sparsely explored new one. He makes it back to the first continent mortally wounded, but is still able to tell some of his tale before he dies. The king advertises for a group of adventurers to go in, find out what happened to the original settlers, and make the way safe for future colonists.

I hope that is a worthwhile plot. I assure you that the only plot I might be stealing from perhaps is the movie, Aliens. But that didn't enter my mind until I started writing this summary.

I saved some of the RPs for the simple reason of studying my previous writings so I can improve in the future. However, I am missing the Deludere RP. Does anyone have a copy?

I also need the second page of my Reoccuring Dreams topic.

I'm not sure of what else I was in.

Thanks ahead of time for any help. IMAGE(cool0000.gif)

Sorry, I have been distracted by love.

I guess it could go as either 3 or 2. As I have run out of ideas for keeping it alive, I wouldn't mind someone else taking over. But Plah, it would be better to wait for a better RP. Perhaps we could all work together to plan a better one. ADoS's RPs just aren't made to survive I guess. Therefore, I vote for 3. It just isn't worth keeping it alive when no one care's. Just try not to kill us Alex.

ADoS abandoned his RP and as far as I, or anyone else in the RP is concerned, he no longer exists in it anymore. You can control his character, but he won't be coming back to take control of it anytime in the future. I have been waiting for him to come around and take over his character's role again since the RP has started up once more, but he never did come back.

Why should we keep using a character in the RP that the original person who created it doesn't even care about anymore? We never do that in other RPs. Once a character is abandoned, it isn't used anymore. It just dies or fades into the background. I asked him to come back to his RP because I was going to keep it going and he told me that as far as he was concerned, the RP died a while ago.

So, I ask again...why bother?

Alex stands at his command post and talks to Zik.

Alex: "What's the damage?"

Zik: "Other than maybe lots of this knocked over in the ship, we are okay. I think one of the bears fell out of a doorway and into the stomach though."

Alex: "Ewwwwe! That won't settle well. Well, where are we currently?"

Zik: "We are parked outside of a blood vessel. How should we go about entering it?"

Alex: "Use the mechanical arms to hold us in place and use the laser to carefully slice an opening in the vessel wall. Be careful not to make it too big, or he will start bleeding and we will have a big problem on our hands."

Zik: "Well, here goes nothing."

The robotic arms clamp down on a nerve for support and it causes several jolts to go through Jonnie's body.

Jonnie: "YAHHHHHHHH!!! What's doing that!!! YAHHHHHHHHH!!!"

The laser carefully slices into the vessel and makes a big enough hole for the MicroSpider to pass through. As they enter the bloodstream, the current pushes them along too quickly and they have to fire the retro-rockets to keep them in one place.

Alex turns on the PA system and makes an announcement.

Alex: "Can I have everyone's attention please? We have made out of the stomach are now in Jonnie's bloodstream. If you look above you, you will see in the vessel walls in the MicroSpider's spotlight's."

Ooohs and ahhhs can be heard from various parts of the ship.

Alex: We are now going to head around the body, and then come back to the heart. From there, we will float around the brain for a while. I don't know for sure what we sill do after that."

The MicroSpider proceeds to float down the bloodstream.

Another set of violent tremors rocks the MicroSpider as it is knocked back on course by a nacho chip shaken loose by the rollercoaster. The MicroSpider breaks through the stomach wall in the precut area and heads for a blood vessel as the rollercoaster ride comes to an end. It stops short of the blood vessel wall and waits for Alec's instructions on entering it.

--------------------------------------
Jonnie: "LET ME OFF OF THIS THING!!!!"

Jonnie runs away from the theme park and starts heading for home while drinking another soda, still clutching his stomach from the slight pain.
--------------------------------------

Plah tries to bring Milla back to her senses so she can help him with the professor, but has no luck in doing so. He then tries to awaken Professor Dumdum, and gets no response there either.

Plah: "BLAST!! Now what do I do?!! Hmmmm... AHA!! I know...I will go get some of those smoothies off of Alex. Maybe they will help. Don't go anywhere Milla, watch the Professor."

He starts heading towards the Command room to get the smoothies while Milla continues to babble to herself. She eventually gets up and starts wandering the ship in a delirious fog.

Having left the headset with the man at the controls, Jonnie gets on the Rollercoaster and it takes off from the platform at the exact same moment that the MicroSpider starts cutting through his stomach walls.

Jonnie: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! MY STOMACH HURTS!!! LET ME OFF!!!!"

Too late now, as he is already halfway up the hill of the first and biggest dip.
-----------------------------------
Meanwhile, in the MicroSpider...

Plah and Miller are sorting through the keys when they hear a massive crash coming from a nearby closet door.

Plah: "What the hell was that?!!"

Milla: "I don't know. But my guess is that it is something I am going to have to clean up. How thrilling."

Plah: "Well we better go see what it was."

They head to the closet and unlock it.

Creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeak

Milla & Plah: "PROFESSOR DUMDUM!!!!?"

It's then that the MicroSpider starts to shake violently from Jonnie going down the first dip on the rollercoaster.

Zik gets on the loudspeaker.

ZIK: "HIT THE DECKS!!!! JONNIE GOT ONTO A ROLLERCOASTER!!!"

Professor Dumdum wakes up in total darkness. Still having amnesia, he has no idea where he is or who he is. He gets up and begins feeling all around him. He makes the mistake of stepping onto a mop on the floor and slipping. There is a loud crash and the sound of more stuff falling off the shelves as he falls against it. Just then, the whole shelf unit tips over and everything falls down on top of Professor Dumdum.

Now totally buried in shelf material, dozens of mop heads and rags, lots of cleaning supply containers, and knocked out once again, he is at the mercy of the debris on top of him. He drifts off to darkness, as if it wasn't dark enough already, and is dead to the world until someone finds him.

OOC: Ok, fine. I will add a twist to make everyone happy. Forget being in the lung. We are about to have an accident.

IC: Johnnie manages to find enough money to buy himself some chips and a soda. He sits down in a chair in the hall by the vending machine to quench his thirst and appetite.
---------------------------
Alex is directing Milla to the cleaning supply closet when he passes Zik on his way to the bathroom.

Alex: "What are you doing out here?!! You are supposed to by piloting the ship!"

Zik: "I need a bathroom break. No one was around to take my place, so I put it on autopilot and here I am."

Alex: "ZIK!!! WE HAVE NO AUTOPILOT!!!"

ZIK: "Oh, crap. What did I do?"

The MicroSpider gives a perceptible lurch and turns around. People see the lungs passing overhead and then the walls of a tube.

Alex: "OH MY GOD!!! WE ARE LEAVING THE LUNGS AND THE TRACHEA AND WE ARE GOING DOWN THE ESOPHAGUS!!!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE ZIK?!!!"

The three of them rush up to the piloting room and find Danny at the controls.
