RedHat is for tools. Ask any Linux user who can find their ass with both hands.

And no, you weren't 'seeing both sides'. You were just saying how awful Windows is as an OS and as hardware. I've used both sorts of machines, and I prefer Windows because I'm more familiar with it. I don't see anything in a Macintosh system that's superior enough to a Windows one to change.

"I don't see why he shouldn't. After all, we all have a right to our opinions and intererests/disinterests, no matter how odd they may be," said the man whose reading habits would, in most civilized circles, mark him as a direct threat to the gene pool.

AOL = microsoft = windows = suck!!!!!!! omg let's all throw away our PCs

To put it bluntly: I've always used a PC. Some people have always used Macs. There is no point in changing machines, because neither offers a significant/real advantage over the other. Quite frankly, if I had $1500+ to blow, I'd probably think of better uses for it than buying a computer I had no utilites or games for and no background in using. The same, I imagine, goes for most Mac users. Why do you fanatics see blood whenever someone says something negative about your machine of choice, anyway?

Of course, in AS's eyes, I am some kind of hideous heretic who is one of Gates's minions for not throwing away thousands of dollars of hard-earned money in changing from potáto to potäto. Don't listen to me.

I've played D&D once or twice. I wouldn't play it again if you put a gun to my head -- the baroque 100s-of-pages manuals X mentioned give too much fuel to poor DMs and players and too little leeway to good ones.

You really are pathetic. We didn't kick you out, you decided to run off in a huff after your stupid, ill-managed ploy to gain you attention by any means necessary failed.
And now you turn around and make another one of those sniveling 'wah no one likes me please fetch me a nerf gun so i can know what it feels like to blow out my sad, sorry brains' poll topics?
Here's a buck. Go get a freaking grip.

Honest to God, this is getting childish. The issue has already been addressed, and now you're all derailing it into petty squabbling and shouting random injokes.
Keep it on topic or let it die, please?

Would you people quiet down for a while?
Listen to me:
Order Mage = Somebody = Iceman.
Zephyr = Damn fool for saying different -- even when the evidence disagrees.
Now let's let this topic of discussion die. And shoot at OM, while we're at it.

I especially liked how he repeatedly complimented himself under different names in the same topic. You know, because everyone posts meaningless topics of pointless agreement with perfect strangers.

Sticking to your friends is fine and good. Sticking to your friends when they're down is admirable. Sticking to your friends when they're lying through their teeth is damnfoolery at best.

Order Mage, your frenzied attempts to deny the truth are amusing, but ultimately futile. Stop it. It isn't doing you anything but harm.
And Zephyr, you should be ashamed of yourself. Defending that kind of behavior even when there's solid evidence against your defense and none behind it is reprehensible.

From what I've heard, you ask Drakey very nice and very often and he'll grudgingly change it. To 'Canned'.

Or you stay around and be notable for long enough that he decides to change it on his own. You probably still won't like the results -- you should ask Stareye while you still can.

This is a little unfair. They sold the Nazis those punchcards, as opposed to the various companies still around today in one way or another that took advantage of slave labor or directly helped the Holocaust along pro bono publica. Those are household names today -- Bayer, Volkswagen, and so on.

And IBM and Microsoft are on this poll only because the person who started it was some kind of fanatic Mac user. I personally object less to letting security holes slip than going overseas to work people with no legal protection from that sort of thing like slaves for cents an hour -- Nike -- or testing products on animals in cruel, unnecessary, and unethical ways -- most cosmetics companies, until very recently -- or abusing influence on major government figures to precipitate wars which cause thousands upon thousands of unnecessary deaths -- let's just say Halliburton to start.

Of course, if you are a fanatic Mac user, you appparently believe Microsoft has done something more evil than that by existing, and will not allow anyone to disabuse you of that notion. Go you.

Yeah, and you'll have nothing to hide until the government, buoyed by that kind of logic, decides that something you've been doing in the open shouldn't be done, either.
And before you know it, even if you haven't done anything wrong, you do have something to hide.
