They'll come back though. They all do, eventually.

The stats from last month, which I gather the original poster was looking for, are here.

The new stats would have been coming today, but it appears that the only server I have access to that can execute PHP is currently down. I'm waiting to see if this resolves itself by today or tomorrow, otherwise the stats will have to wait a few days.

Spelling normal words wrong is quite okay; I just make jokes when people spell words like Vahnatai "Vahiantahaytitai" or something to that effect.

If it's only his clothes you're not sure about, you could just get him to read the labels and say what brand/style they are and you could look them up :-p

What he probably means is that he has already seen a copious amount of pictures of TM in which he is not clothed, so TM's non-clothed appearance is no longer a mystery.

Mh. It would probably be better to have full light in the cavern - it's impossible to have varying light anyway, and that will make it easier to redraw the outmap.

This is getting interesting. Once I'm done with my Nano writing, I'll see if I can make some test or proof of concept thing for an infinite cave. :)

I bask in the prestige of being quoted in a signature.

Also, TM, nowhere near as much, true, but there *is* Mount Gorvax which you did not want to comment on.

14.

Which means the joke is beginning to wear thin. When she arrived, she was 12 (or 11?!) and acted a mental age of around 20. It was... odd.

Unless you can find a way to develop an immunity against immunity. Which, needless to say, is impossible. :P

Wait... aren't there any typeless damage spells in BoA, like Wound in BoE? If you really had nothing better to do, you could max out a party, give them a ton of invulnerability elixirs and spell points, and then stand around for a few hours lobbing that spell (if there is one) at Lyfan and watching his 9999 HP decrease to 0 in decrements of 5-10 points or so.

I have many things better to do, so I won't try. :P

Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Seriously, only discontent can result.

I haven't had the opportunity to try Druids of Krell due to lack of time, but I've played Bahs, Canopy, Emerald Mountain and most other stuff by TM. The design is stunning - I liked Emerald Mountain's use of height levels to create a kind of "perspective"; you really get the impression you're playing a 3d game and not some BoE port. Kel does the same in Bahs.

Summer is the season of pointless polls. That's when the noobs join.

Or was there a time when pointless polls were posted by non-noobs?

When I finally learn to code in Matlab, there will be few math problems I won't be able to solve! Oh the POWER... :D

Seriously, Maple might be better for solving functions and plotting 3d graphs, but Matlab is just incredible. I remember bringing any kind of mathematical problem to my dad, and he'd need some time to figure out how to express it as a Matrix problem, and then it was practically solved. :)

Of course, we won't be able to bring a calculator that advanced into the exam... :/

So it's a safeguard against endless loops, I assume. Well, 64k is still quite a lot, especially considering that you don't need to call them all at once.

(Stairway nodes reset all terrain to the way you set it in the editor.)

Every sixth space due to the range of LOS, presumably. Is it possible for the player to have a reduced LOS for some reason?

By the way, is this noticable to the player? They do get moved around somewhat after all. Does the screen get redrawn in that time, or is the moving invisible?

Oh... if the stairway nodes reset the town's terrain (does that include the floors, btw?), then I could just start out with a blank town and generate the dungeon on each entry after the stairway node, it would save the blanking out.
