Wait, are we having to explain ourselves now to the originator of the Richard White Cult for our lack of sanity? :P

There was too much spam in Misc, so it was decided to get rid of General and rename Misc. It was a great pity.

That's not quite the right sequence of events. Misc. was afflicted with terminal spam, so it was given a mercy killing. All was well for a time, for while some attempts were made to bring the Miscean disease to General, the maintainers of the quarantine were vigilant. Alas, the standoff could not last forever, and soon the disease had spread once more.

—Alorael, who can at least say that pointless polls have, for the most part, remained a thing of the past. That's a good thing, really.

Summer is the season of pointless polls. That's when the noobs join.

Or was there a time when pointless polls were posted by non-noobs?

I briefly considered making a poll that rated the other polls. There turned out to be numerous reasons why that never happened. Common sense was surprisingly the least of those reasons.

I wonder how Darth Vader got in there.

Mind you, this was done using strict Safe Search. I was already greatly alarmed by what I saw; I didn't want to push my credibility limit to the breaking point.

Very illuminating, that.

I imagine that's what the Book of Kells would look like if they turned it into a dinosaur comic.

What is a kell, anyway, and why did someone write a whole book about them?

Kells was the medieval equivalent of breakfast cereal. Hence modern-day Kellogg's, named in honor of a well-respected ancient Irish concoction of wheat and barley, ground together into dry, hard little pellets.

The marshmallow snakes were removed from the product some time in the 5th century.

Very popular amongst the ecclesiastical community.

Dinosaurs go well on cereal boxes. Although the Welsh version of Kells always had dragons on the box.

Kellogs cereal is actually an anti-masturbatory device.
