Donut: chocolate glazing
Spell circle: It's been far too long since I played that awesome game. I can't remember them. Probably the one with Firebolt (War?)
Nationality: What's a jumping bean?
Animal: cat. cat. cat. what else?
Goal in life: Save the world.

Edit: It seems an overwhelming number of spiderwebbers either have or want cats. A correlation?

It does, but that's the way it works. All 'good' robots stick to the rules (of course the ones that harvest emails and post comment spam don't), so if you put User-agent: *, it matches any robot that looks at it, and the Disallow: / blocks the entire directory tree. ;)

I was just about to see if I'd gotten the link right and then saw the robots.txt was already there. Took me a moment to realize you just uploaded it... as it is now, it should work fine.

I wouldn't rely on bad formatting though - the bot might eventually parse the page anyway. However, you can keep out all bots from your entire site by simply making a text file called robots.txt with the following content (more info):

User-agent: *
Disallow: /
And upload it so it's available on http://www.shadowvale.net/robots.txt . All search engines will comply with this. :)

I once collected stamps, napkins and even miniature models of ships (I still have all those collections...), but not anymore.

Nowadays I collect paper, but more out of an aversion to throwing it away. And I collect tons upon tons of data - as long as the diskspace is enough, I will store every email, every text document, every picture, every piece of music that has ever been on my computer. I've even kept a keylog archive for three years...

I'd be fine with Blades of Geneforge, although what I'm really hoping for it Nethergate 2. Or a new series entirely.

But that is wishful thinking.

What worm? Oh, and anything beats being squashed in a tiny cave. Unless she manages to link straight into a sun or something. :P

And now I'd better stop getting side-tracked. We should definitely have a D'ni-themed RP some time, however. Awesomeness squared.

Anyway, for my holidays two years ago I went to california and had an awesome time and hopefully at the end of this year I'll be going to Hawaii. Man, I absolutely love foreign chicks. Over here girls are all like "Oh, it's that guy that wont ever shut the hell up and has really stupid hair" but overseas everyone is all like "OMG!! Where are you from? Oh I love your accent it's so cute. Wow, that hair is awesome, is it blowdried? Hey, we're having a party later if you want to come over" And an actual quote (said by a japaneese student) is "Woah, that hair is pretty cool. If you came to Japan all the women would love you because of it and all the guys would hire hitmen to kill you"

Yep, I'm bored as hell. Also, I found animal crackers the other day. I didn't even know they still sold those things. So we had a poker night, whisky, cigars, stolen deckchairs and a stolen table, and animal crackers as frigging betting chips. I ended up eating my bets and I got too drunk to see the cards but I assume the night went well. I had to drive home in the dark the next day without dash lights as well because I blew a fuse so I hope I didnt end up with a speeding ticket becuase I couldnt see the speedo.

That was a hell of a rant. I should stop drinking.

And that is why people shouldn't use their real name on the internet.

Logalot had done something funky with the masks, which I wasn't aware of when I created the admin forum about 8 hours ago (it already contains 2 threads, one of which is a test), which he fixed since.

No, there's no trouble with the board, much to TM's chagrin. Either your connection, or the server had a hiccup.

And I like the misspelling of Adminastor.

This is pretty much the most basic way imaginable to visually track something, and adjustments need to be made for situations where there are multiple objects in view, which confuses the above mentioned algorithm.

Now the only remaining problem is to breed blue squirrels...

And once again, we fight on our own, the Drow drily thought as she disappeared down the passage the druid and the Easterling had already taken. Why wait for the others? Filbert was a walking liability. Tuulentekija could not control his temper. Edith was useless in a fight. If there was anyone she would fight beside, they had both left.

The passages soon split, but the caverns were her home. Her honed senses could not detect the lich anymore - beyond a vague feeling of undeath that dissipated through the tunnels - but the Easterling, soundless as she seemed to mortal ears, was not hard to follow. As for the druid, he was dripping with magical force and had left a blazing trail of power in his wake, a beacon for all who could See.

And there was the trouble. Lisha apparently could not - or if she could, she had chosen to follow the Curator rather than the druid, hoping to be led to Orloki this way. Melora was standing in front of a fork in the tunnel. The footsteps of the Easterling had faded down one passage. The glowing aura of the druid was glowing on the walls of the other.

The early worm gets the bird...

The Curator would be running on the shortest way back to his master, even if he had not expected them to follow. He was a minion; he had to get new orders. Doubtless she would reach Orloki by trailing him.

But Sequoia was presently an Avatar of the mountain. The power was wearing off fast - and well that it was, for no mortal would survive wielding this raw force for long - but it was still strong, and in the light dripping off the walls Melora felt the unbending strength of the stone, of aeons rushing past the withered rock. If there was anyone who had a prayer of standing against Orloki and surviving, it was the druid.

And by extension, those who fought beside him.

... but the second mouse gets the cheese.

---

The tunnel groaned under the weight of Orloki. Sequoia's passing here had weakened his influence, but not destroyed it entirely. The mountain rumbled, an all too familiar sound.

Melora halted.

Not out of hesitation, but because of the solid wall of stone that was in front of her, cutting right across Sequoia's trail. There is an impressive array of curses in the Drow language, and Melora silently mouthed several of the nastier ones as she turned around and noticed that an identical wall cut off her return.

She half expected the tunnel to deform and squeeze her flat, but it seemed Orloki had a use for her still: A hole opened in the side of the short tunnel segment.

Apparently, all the choices were Orloki's.

No, they are not.

She calmly sat down and opened her backpack. Intenselay aware of the thousands of tons of rock that surrounded her, and of the knowledge that the fear of being squashed to death was all too realistic, she took out a certain book with a green leather cover. As if instructed by someone else, she opened it at a random place, and began to read...

----

OOC Edit: This is too hilarious to fix. Can you spot the error? Hint: It has to do with the food chain and its direction.

OOC: Alternative plot twist; MoS in D'ni - "... green leather cover. She quickly paged through it until her face lit up with a light shining out of the image on the page. Hesitating only a moment, she placed her hand on the image and was gone."

A dirge for our retroactive departed leader! Our beloved saint of willan-havan-been! Oh, where will our bereaved church turn to now in the quest for the ultimate truth? Will we have to abandon our faith? Or worse, seek a merger with the Scientologists?

This is the darkest hour of the Whitist Cult...

It's not intuitive, but what you are looking at are the stats as measured from the 17th, until now. One day. The program doesn't update in real time, since that would take too much bandwidth (both on the forum and the site). Instead, it updates one profile in ten minutes, choosing the profile it thinks has posted most since the last update.

As you are #58, it will be some time before it's your turn.

Those, and practically anyone on discussion boards. Whenever you are in a serious debate on the internet, you can expect to have fallacy accusations thrown at you as if you were talking to philosophers. :P

That said, I did get basics of logic in high school, in a required subject ("Theory of Knowledge").

Unfortunately, this place is neither for a short temper nor a thin skin. That doesn't mean you should reinforce the point, Ados.

So let's see.

You posted the Nethergate re-do in General, didn't you? It got locked because it was a duplicate. For some reason Order Mage posted an AYBABTU quote. Since we are with only a few exceptions (Alec/Maimonides) conditioned to mindlessly follow up internet memes, this was continued.

quote:

"How are you gentlemen!!"
"All your base are belong to us!!"
"You are on the way to destruction!!"
"You have no chance to survive make your time!!"
"Hahaha!!"

As you can see, the posts that followed quoted parts of these, and since moderation in General traditionally requires finding a snappy concluding line for a locked topic, I saw the opportunity of ending it with the "Hahaha" line. By that time, any relation the posts had with your thread was gone.
