I just tried going to Polaris, and it worked fine. Sorry for the fuss. I bet the moment of not-working-ness was from Aran fiddling with the boards. I think this because somehow, I was able to see the admin board on Polaris for a while. I posted something to the effect of "I shouldn't be able to do this, now should I?", and the admin board returned to being invisible. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. What does the Admin. board look like? (I didn't know there was a Adminastrator board) Though I suppose that makes sense. -------------------- Polaris The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. There's no Polaris admin board. —Alorael, who has just discovered the new "Adminastor" board. He's quite sure it all makes sense in a Polaris kind of way. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

That never made it into the script. But it was in the fanfic thread. For some absurd reason or another. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Logalot had done something funky with the masks, which I wasn't aware of when I created the admin forum about 8 hours ago (it already contains 2 threads, one of which is a test), which he fixed since. No, there's no trouble with the board, much to TM's chagrin. Either your connection, or the server had a hiccup. And I like the misspelling of Adminastor. Anyone else remember when Logalot hijacked the power to lock topics on here? Logalot is one of the Admins. on Polaris. I don't think he comes around here. EDIT: He's the guy who started Polaris. "Started" isn't accurate, really. He was one of the forerunners, true, but Polaris originated from a group of people. The community that is now Polaris "existed" before it had any name or even a forum. All your base are belong to Ory'hara, actually. The name came from Escape Velocity. -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. I always kinda assumed that he was the starter of Polaris, as he's member #1. -------------------- Polaris The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. Yes, he's our host and has always been the primary admin. But, say, ef has been a Polaran as long as he has (I haven't, I joined late in 2003). The group has moved around a fair bit - around 4-5 different incarnations of the forum (although we didn't lose all posts in the last move). IIRC, I was told it started in an AIM chatroom. Polaris, originally a nameless conspiracy, started over AIM to protest a banner insulting ADoS that was put up on the Miscellaneous section of Spiderweb. The original members were definitely Logo, ADoS, Slith (no longer around), SMoE (on Polaris but no longer here) and me. I may be missing a few. The conspiracy became Polaris thanks to Logo's love of Escape Velocity: Nova. It moved onto an Ezboard, then a MyIB, then to a series of Invision boards. I may be missing a few here as well. —Alorael, who supposes Polaris holds the distinction of being the most frequently redirected Spiderweb-associated conspiracy. It has had many different goals and many different members, and it has kept on conspiring right until the present day. It already controls the vertical and the horizontal and you don't even know it!
