You could make them special monster groups that hunt the party, although you'd have to make sure that they don't attack and that they dont't get in the way. But they won't follow you out of their specific outdoor area because that's where their script is. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. Just do a little bit of tweaking and you should get them to work. It's basically the same syntax, although the idiosyncracies of each game engine make them every so slightly different. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. Without it, priests wouldn't have any good offensive spells compared to mages. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. Isn't the chief spider supposed to give you the mission to get the eggs and give you the password to get passed the guard spider like in BoE? I can't find the option for any of that. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. OH  . That is nice to hear. But I still think there should be a community project to improve the open source editor. We are allowed to do that under the software contract, aren't we? -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. The editor that Jeff made for BoA seems to be somewhat difficult to work with and requires an awful lot of clicking and external programs to aid the programmer. I wonder what kind of program Jeff used to create the Avernum games (and possibly the Exile games). He must have had something a little more stream-lined, but it was probably lack-luster. I also heard that Jeff has made the editor open-source. Is there going to be an orchestrated project to make a new variant of the Editor by the community? -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. It's just easier to program an application that has to take in all values, including null ones. Otherwise, it has to fill in other values and may have to do a bit of guessing. This is the same reason why the W3 wants us to use XHTML instead of sloppy web design. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. Somewhat unrelated, but The Inquirer (among other sites) have news concerning 2 newly discovered Microsoft Internet Explorer bugs. There is no patch available for them yet as they are in the -day infection category(Patch is made because of active infections or attacks). -------------------- How do signature's work? -Keep Posts: 1415 | Registered: Thursday, March 27 2003 08:00 |

I thought that was what XP stood for. But concerning SP2, I can't believe it will take until fall before they can release it. -------------------- How do signature's work? -Keep Posts: 1415 | Registered: Thursday, March 27 2003 08:00 |

As always, I think Microsoft could do better, but I think SP2 is a step in the right direction. As for XP in general, if you take good care of the computer, you shouldn't eXPerience any big, consistent problems. I hope the kobolds you refer to aren't the ones just outside of Fort Talrus, AKA the ones I killed in the beginning of the game... -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. The Anandtech Forums and other such places have good, simple boards. Navigation is sometimes weird because I sometimes click on the big FORUMS button and I got to a section where "General" and the like do not show up. I also like being able to customize how many posts are shown on a single page. Pop-up blockers that block every pop-up regardless whether or not you specifically clicked on the link are NOT INTELLIGENT. Server side redirects and refreshes make it possible to go about the board without having to backtrack through post windows and such. Many find this annoying, but I personally like the nested outline of threads. -------------------- What do I put here? -Garrison Posts: 1415 | Registered: Thursday, March 27 2003 08:00 |

Does anyone find the SpiderWeb Forums kind of inferior to other boards? I love the communication roads it provides, but some aspects of it are lacking. Navigation around the boards are sometimes confusing, and by far the most annoying thing is the screen that comes up after you post that slowly takes you back to the topic. It screws up the back button on the browser and sometimes causes double posting. I also wish there was HTML code allowed, but many boards don't allow that either. I think the best posting system brings is the one that brings up a pop-up window for you to type in. Then the parent page is dynamically refreshed when the post is successful, therefore keeping your page history intact. -------------------- What do I put here? -Garrison Posts: 1415 | Registered: Thursday, March 27 2003 08:00 |

I found out in 1997 when I got the "Galaxy of Games 2" disk of games from a friend. I had such a ... computer that I couldn't really run anything except Exile 3. Now, if Exile 3 wasn't out yet in 1997, then it must have been later. -------------------- What do I put here? -Garrison Posts: 1415 | Registered: Thursday, March 27 2003 08:00 |

Karma is more like the total sum of your deeds in the arbitrary respect of good and evil. It is somewhat difficult to incorporate this value, but karma generally dictates what kind of luck or fate you get. A divine person could possibly "read" your karma as well. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. Giving the tourists that kind of power would be foolish. Imagine the 'accidental' injuries that could ensue, and don't forget that tourists won't keep track of how many koalas or other animals that they conveniently shot. But I think that these measures are somewhat necessary. They can't let the population grow too much since it will hurt many others. Sterilization and relocation has been tried with some strange fish or eels in the area where I live, but they still keep coming back every year. I really do wonder how the koala population grew that much, though. -------------------- How do signature's work? -Keep Posts: 1415 | Registered: Thursday, March 27 2003 08:00 |
