Yes, I really liked our song ('t was the best for years), but Lordi war great and it was very right that they won.

But only place 15 for germany - that wasn't to fair. The song was good and very well done *sigh*

The french song was OK but the singer missed some notes. Well - most of them.

I know, I killed him with my awakened agent Tonks. He wasn't hard at all, to get to him was much harder, when I finally got there my party was so strong that the fight was really lame. But Eass was not really a part of the story till I got the mission to kill him. I first thought that Barzahl would be the arch-enemy, but he was a joke as well, I killed him before I was able to kill this ghosts in the northern passage. Oh, and I wasn't able to kill this gazers and eyebeasts in the inner Benerii-Uss (?) at all.

I would not only like less sexistic graphics (though they don't really annoy me, since I prefer to play the agent), but I'd like more colour schemes. I'd really like to play a shaper (of any type) with black robes.
I find the idea of shops running out of money unrealistic. Am I their only client?
They way of travelling in Geneforge is far faster than in Exile/ Avernum, but it is highly unrealistic, too.
I'd like to be able to equip two kinds of weapons (short-range and wide-range).

Oh, and the difficultes area should be at the end, and not on some sidekick-dungeon.
And I'd like to learn who's the bad guy earlier. Who was Eass? And why was he (or the other dragons) important?

I do not like this "letting stuff lie around". The idea of the charms was great, but why do they take so much of my expensive storeroom?

Hmm, Germany went to Alorael. So, what will I get?

BTW: Danube? You really say Danube instead of Donau? I ever wondered about the need of re-naming places in other languages
Köln= Cologne
Rhein= Rhine

and I do not understand how so many perfectly intelligent adults can read something intended for nine to fifteen year olds. I'm not suggesting that people should only read something if it expresses intelligent and unique ideas and thoughts, and I think there's a place for literary bubbly, but ten year olds don't read Good Night Moon, so why should thirty year olds read Harry Potter?
That is a point I do not get.
Why shouldn´t I read a really good book for children? Have you ever read Michael Ende or Erich Kaestner? Their books are literature and really fantastic (forget about the "nerverending story"movies, even the first is lousy compared with the richness of Endes book).
I read for relaxing from a job with really non-trivial matter. I enjoy reading well written and intelligent storys, but mostly not high-literature. I like well-written crime storys, SciFi (much Ben Bova lately), well recherched historical Stories and Books about Mathematics and Physics. Are these Books for Children or not? I was 15 when I read "the pillars of earth" from Follet and "the name of the rose" from Eco...

That innocent mark is simply mistake by my poor english. Before it was an settlement owed by the US, guarded by americans with barriers and trespassing controls. It was build in the 50´s after the HICOG shifted its seat from Frankfurt to Bonn, where was not enough living space for 600 Americans and 900 Germans. They build three areas with dwellings (?), and the american settlement is one of them.
After the Bonn-Berlin removal most americans left to Berlin and the Bonner Livingspace-Company boughed the houses and is letting them now to interested people.
If I know a town where people from all over the world live peacefull together, then it is Bonn. Ten years ago there were pupils from over 90 nationalities on our school, actual about 60.

Ah! Düsseldorf!
I am living in Bonn (NRW, too) and because of the loads of diplomacies which were here befor the re-union of Germany there is a very large international school and even a large american settlement. But since their diplomatic agency moved to Berlin non-americans are allowed to live there, too.

Gently asking where this school may be. Not in Bonn/Plittersdorf, isn´t it?

We have a grade-System which goes from 1-6.
1: very good
6: worst, unlikely of getting better soon

It is approx. 50%=4-, having less will be failure, but the mark counts, not the percentage.

THAT would happen if HP was written in Hollywood. The books are getting darker and darker, so I guess, that we can be happy if Harry doesn´t decide to live as a muggle in the end of book 7.

By the way: Can somebody please explain me, why there was an other title of Book one in US (...an the sorcreres stone) and UK (... and the philosophers stone). Are the books translated an if Yes, why? I mean things other than spelling like color and colour, Is Us- and british english really so different?

closes her Eyes

Aaaaargh! I´ve got mine since monday. In english, of course, the german one won´t come till november, 11th.
I´ve made it to page 220, and I won´t read here any further until I´ll have gone through all 766 pages.

Sorry enough a chatter friend accidentaly spoiled yesterday who dies :-(

Its really good to read, but after reading the first four books in my last summer holidays I might be in good training (my abilities in english are more passive than active).

Harry Potter is so fantastic. It would be even better, if it wasn´t so popular ;-)

Whats your religion?

Just look up "list of cults" on Google :P

You'll find it there, along with lots of other religions that also aren't cults (the people who make lists like that seem to define "cult" as "small religion that isn't ours")

Sorry for the Quotes-in-quotes.

But thats the point why I asked. What is a cult? I am (a quite critical) roman-catholic. I guess, that is a church (there is a double-meaning in the german word, Kirche=church means the Building AND the institution).
My best friend at school was neuapostolisch (new-apostolian!?), I lived next to the rooms of Jehowas witnesses when I studied in Aachen, an at my school there are pupils from all over the world with beliefs from all over the world. I was just interested. Riibu, you maybe PM me?

And for all those who like numbers: I gained my funny birthday from my Grandfathers, the oldest born 06.12.06 (US: 12/06/06), the younger one born 12.03.12 (US: 03/12/12).

Not to mention, that X would most likely be USA.

I´m just happy, that most people in my country do not owe a weapon.
There is no need for weapon-controls in most schools, and I´m happy about this, because school shouldn´t be like prisons.
Yes, even here are people going amok from time to time, and last year a pupil shoot 12 teacher, a secretary, 2 pupils an one policeman. He had his weapons because he was an hobby-gunmen.
The national consequece was, that the laws for owing a weapon are sharpened, and that is just right.

The question ist: how can I protect me by owing an weapon? My answer: not at all. I someone wants to shoot me, he will. I guess, nobody will be impressed, when I say "wait a moment, I have a gun at home". It will protect me better, if less people will be able to get a gun.

I hope, you can understand my point of view, the theme is difficult, and my last english lesson was 8 years ago.
